Jayden lay lazily on the bed, his large hands clasped around Mabel's slender waist.

He looked Mabel up and down as if he was waiting for her next move.

The smile on Mabel's face dissapeared for a second.

This was different from what she had imagined.

According to her plan, Jayden should have pushed her away with a cold expression and ordered her to get lost and never to come back to him again.

She also expected him to leave angrily.

After waiting for a long time, Jayden ran out of patience. "Aren't you going to do it yourself? What are you hesitating for?"

Mabel pursed her lips and raised her hand to unbutton Jayden's shirt.

Her trembling fingertips revealed her shyness and nervousness.

At that moment, Jayden looked at her coldly, a hint of mockery flashing across his eyes. The buttons on his shirt had been undone, revealing his sexy and strong chest muscles. Under the light, there was a seductive glint on his body.

It was obvious that Jayden was someone who exercised all year round. His muscles were very well-proportioned and strong from training.

Mabel pretended to be calm, but her cheeks were still red.

Just as she was about to find an excuse to escape, Jayden suddenly turned pale, and his breathing became rapid.

His forehead was covered with a layer of sweat, and his originally indifferent eyes had become blurred.

Mabel could tell at a glance that he was ill.

"Mr. Griffiths?" she asked tentatively.

Jayden frowned and pushed her away. "Get lost!"

Mabel rolled to the side and quickly got up to check on him.

This was almost perfect for Mabel, as she thought if she could save Jayden, she could stay.

Mabel grabbed hold of Jayden's wrist and rubbed the area between his thumb and index finger. "Take a deep breath, keep your breathing steady, and empty your brain."

At this moment, the door was pushed open, and a beautiful girl ran over worriedly.

"Jayden! How are you?"

Jayden glanced at the girl coldly, and the pain in his eyes grew stronger.

Mabel knew that they could not delay any longer.

She immediately grabbed the tip of Jayden's left index finger and reached for the bag of needles at the back of her waist.

Melanie frowned and looked at Mabel. "Miss Baldwin, Jayden hates it when women touch him. If you don't want to get hurt, leave him quickly."

As soon as she finished speaking, Jayden held Mabel's hand, his fingers turning pale from the force of his grip.

Melanie Robinson opened her eyes wide in shock, her eyes full of disbelief.

Ever since they were young, Jayden hated physical touch. Even Melanie, who had grown up with him, had never dared to touch him easily.

It was because as soon as she touched him, he would become furious.

The butler arrived in a hurry at this moment. When he saw this scene in the room, he was also stunned.

Jayden was having an episode on the bed. His forehead was covered with sweat, his brows were tightly furrowed, and his lower jaw was locked tight.

He held Mabel's hand tightly as if he had found a support point. However, his strength was so great that it was as if he wanted to crush Mabel's hand.

Mabel sensed the pain and groaned. Her face also grew pale.

She pursed her lips, pulled out a needle, and was about to plunge it into the space between Jayden's thumb and index findger.

"Wait!" Melanie interrupted her. "Miss Baldwin, what are you doing?"

Mabel lowered her head, her long eyelashes covering her cold eyes. She said in a deep voice, "I'm saving him."

After that, she pressed the needle against Jayden's skin, about to pierce it through.

Melanie anxiously stepped forward and held Mabel's wrist. "Miss Baldwin! I advise you not to do anything stupid. You can't mess with Jayden. If something happens, you won't be able to bear the responsibility."

Mabel looked up coldly and glanced at Melanie. "I'll take responsibility for what happens."
