Chapter 5 REGRETTING HER ACTIONS

Logan stirred awake and he was surprised he was sleeping by Ella's bedside. He was still wondering if maybe he was right or wrong so he quickly took out his phone and snapped Ella he sent the image to the guards for confirmation.

A few moments later his phone screen brightened up he checked the message. [exactly sir! She is Ella Valkyris] one of the guards texted back.

Logan curled his lips with a smile, "Turns out Ella was deceiving him all this while and she kept on pretending.

He dialed another number, "I need you to get me some women's clothes," He said, keeping his voice low.

The person on the other end hesitated but didn't question him.

"What size?" the person asked.

Logan glanced at Ella, who was still wrapped in a duvet, her arms wrapped around herself.

"Just bring a variety," he muttered.

Noticing Ella was twitching her eyes he quickly pretended to be asleep and watched her get off the bed slowly and how she was struggling to open the door.

He stood up and walked closer to her and heard her call him a crazy guy.

"Who is the crazy guy?" Logan whispered slowly that a pin drop sound could be heard in the room after what he said.

Ella turned back slowly in shock and fell on her toes on sighting Logan.

"Y..y..o..u a..r..e a..w..a..k..e!?" Ella asked still stammering in fear she was almost wetting her pants.

"Did I scare you!?" Ella, Logan questioned walking towards her. He deliberately called her name for confirmation.

"Please don't kill me!" I only need to work as a maid in the Carter's mansion for my father not to disown me, please. She pleaded while shivering in fear.

"And what again!?" Logan asked with a smirk. He was finally getting what he wanted and now he needed to strike the iron while it was still hot.

"I don't know what you are talking about!?" Just spare me this once and I will disappear like a trace. Ella pleaded furthermore.

"What if I refuse!?" Logan teased with a smile. He was enjoying this, he needed to let her reveal all her missions herself.

"Then I will gladly accept my punishment!" Ella replied her gaze fixed on the floor with unshed tears.

"Become a maid!" He said.

What!! Ella yelled raising her head to look at him in shock.

I will help you to become the maid that you want Logan tried to explain. Knowing fully that she can only show her true colors if she gets to the Carter's mansion.

"Your grace is immeasurable sir!" Ella exclaimed happily. Logan stretched his hands forward and helped her up.

Just then they had a slight knock from the outside. "Come in," Logan said and a guard walked in carrying bags from a high-end boutique.

"Here sir!" he said giving it to Logan.

Okay, thanks you can wait outside Logan replied collecting the gift from the guard. The guard bowed slightly before walking out.

Change your clothes first, I will get the doctor Logan declared giving the shopping bags to her, he left the room.

Moments later Logan returned with the doctor and some check-ups were carried out before they finally discharged Ella.

Logan took her home. He was silent for most of the ride, lost in thought. Ella didn't try to force a conversation. She was trying to be polite and not annoy him. Either way, she was also thinking of what Jeff Carter looked like in real life maybe he was even colder than Logan she thought.

The moment they arrived in the mansion, Her heart rose up and down in anticipation.

They got out of the car and walked inside the house. She could feel all eyes were on her but she cared less. Her real mission had just begun and she wanted to successfully finish it and return home quickly.

She scanned through the whole house as she was following Logan in, she was frightened by how tight the security in the house was with tons of guards on standby. If she poisoned Jeff successfully how the hell will she get out?

Although her father had already given her the pill she wasn't even sure maybe it was an aphrodisiac or a poison. She just prayed it was an aphrodisiac so he could be saved on time rather than a poison that might kill him on the spot. She really wants to examine the pill but she can't poison herself just yet.

"Wait here!" She heard Logan jolting her out of her reverie.

"Okay, sir!" She replied obediently with a smile.

Logan walked towards Jeff's room he knocked on the door slowly till he was asked to enter.

I thought you already left like all the others Jeff sneered as Logan walked towards him.

"Do you miss me that badly!?" Turns out you couldn't sleep without me. Logan mocked as he sat opposite him.

"You must be so full of yourself right!?" Jeff replied with a disatisfying glare. He raised his hand and dismissed all the maids that were dressing for him.

"Sorry!" Something came up. Logan declared with an apologetic look.

"So you couldn't seek an audience with him!?"

"Yes!" Turns out he already knew we were coming for him then he tricked us all and escaped freely. Logan explained with a disappointed glance.

"So why couldn't you return!?" Jeff inquired.

Linda finally made a move, she sent her elder sister here as a maid. Her motive wasn't clear yet, maybe she is here to murder you or gather some investigations is still unknown to us. Logan narrated.

That bitch I couldn't expect less from her, but how did she end up having an elder sister she was the only daughter of a father. Jeff asserted confusion itching his face.

That's the main reason why she was sent to do this job. Ella Valkyris has been sent to an orphanage ever since Linda's mother's death because she was accused of being the killer and she only returned recently. Logan explained with a smile.

Then we have to play along and make sure to catch her red-handed.

"Yes exactly!" while she was acting like a maid in the house we will deliberately released fake news to her and even treated her nicely so that she could let her guard down.

"That's a great idea!" I want her to be my personal maid. Jeff smirked.

"You!!" Logan shouted giving him a look of disappointment.

Before Logan could say any more thing, Jeff called the bodyguards in "Bring her in" he commanded with a smile.

The guards left and soon returned with Ella tailing behind.

Ella entered the room and saw Jeff in the wheelchair. She glared at him for a while before she burst into tears.

"What happened to you!?" Jeff asked.

Before Logan could walk closer to her and question her she quickly ran outside of the room still crying profusely.

"I don't know he was disabled!" How could I come here to murder someone as pitifully as him that's pure brutality!" Ella screamed in her head as she quickly ran to one of the rooms and locked the door behind her.
