Chapter 4 MISSION ACCOMPLISHED

Ella shifted in her bed anxiously, she didn't even allow the nurse to change her nightgown to a hospital gown all she wanted was for Logan to come and take her to the Carter's mansion.

She was still in anticipation when the door swung open revealing Logan. Her mood lightened up immediately. "You are back!" Ella exclaimed happily.

She expected a reply but she got next shocked her. Logan walked towards her, his eyes ragging with fire she smiled faintly thinking maybe he was angered because he didn't accomplished the thing he had rushed out to do because of her.

Logan gets to her front still glaring at her with a disdainful look. "A...am..so...." she wanted to apologize but Logan grabbed her by the neck instead getting her bewildered what's even more shocking is what he said next. "Who are you!?" he asked his expression unchanged.

Ella struggled to remove his hand from her neck but it proved abortive she could only cry in agony as she was slowly losing her breath.

Logan saw how she was battling with her life but he wasn't ready to let her go. for no reason will he spare anyone from the Valykris. They have done enough to destroy the Carter's family.

"Ella closed her eyes in tears!" She was happy and sad at the same time. She was happy she could finally return to her mother and she was sad an innocent man was killing her instead. Which was making her feel so agitated. She looked up to Logan one more time and finally managed to utter a word before closing her eyes in submission. "T...th..thank..you" She finally managed to say before giving in to darkness.

Logan quickly let her go causing her to fall off the bed with a loud thud. He quickly pressed the button by the bedside as the doctor and a nurse rushed in, they quickly tends to her and he stood by the side reminiscing About what she said last.

He expected her to admit to what she did or apologize but the least she could manage to say is thank you which got him baffled. Or, "Was I mistaken!?" And she is not Ella?? he questioned himself internally.

"She is okay now!" the doctor said jolting him out of his trance.

"Ohh She is!?" Logan replied with a faint smile.

"Yes!" Thank goodness you pressed the button on time and she hasn't lost her breath finally which makes it easier for her to respond quickly. The doctor explained hastily.

"Okay!" thanks, doctor. Logan replied with a nod.

But what happened to her it was like she was choked to death. The doctor inquired.

I just entered this room myself I thought she wanted to kill herself. Logan lied without showing any sign of suspicion.

I suggest you stay with her and take good care of her till tomorrow when she will be discharged. The doctor warned.

Okay! I will stay here with her Logan responded with a nod.

The doctor also nodded back with a faint smile before walking out.

Logan glanced at the naive girl on the bed, he could have just killed her if he wanted to but he didn't know the reason why he was hesitant to do so.

He took a chair and sat by her bedside, Scanning Ella's face he noticed tiny tears were forcing their way out of her eyes he couldn't help but pity her. He was still looking at her confused about what to say when he felt his eyelids were heavy, he drifted to sleep putting his head on her bedside.

The Next day,

Ella jolted awake, She was surprised she was still alive and she was wondering how she made it. Just then she noticed the presence of someone beside her. She quickly turned to the side and saw Logan she gasped in shock. "He must have been confused when I thanked him right?" She thought. Then that meant I had to escape before he woke up. Ella declared and quietly got off the bed.

Her clothes as already been changed to a hospital gown. She scanned through the room but she couldn't find her night gown.

"Those damn nurses she cursed. Tiptoeing towards the door she grabbed the doorknob, twitching it slowly she realized the door had been locked from the outside.

"What the fuck is going on!?" Am not a psychiatrist patient why would they lock the door from the outside? They even went ahead and locked me in the room with this crazy guy. These people are insane. She yelled angrily.

Unbeknownst to her Logan is already awake and standing tall at her back.

"Who is the crazy guy?" Logan asked his voice barely above a whisper.

Ella turned back slowly in shock and fell on her toes on sighting Logan.

"Y..y..o..u a..r..e a..w..a..k..e!?" Ella asked still stammering in fear she is almost wetting her pants.

"Did I scare you!?" Ella! Logan questioned walking towards her.

"Please don't kill me!" I only need to work as a maid in the Carter's mansion for my father not to disown me, please. She pleaded while shivering in fear.

"And what again!?" Logan asked with a smirk. He was surprised that Ella who was thanking him when he wanted to kill her is now begging him to spare her what a drama queen he said in his head.

"I don't know what you are talking about!?" Just spare me this once and I will disappear without a trace.

"What if I refuse!?" Logan teased with a smile.

"Then I will gladly accept my punishment!" Ella replied her gaze fixed on the floor with unshed tears.

"Become a maid!" He said curtly.

What!! Ella yelled raising her head to look at him in shock.

I will help you to become the maid that you want Logan explained.

"Thanks so much!" Ella exclaimed happily. Although she wasn't sure about what Logan knew about her one thing was clear she had accomplished her mission.

Logan stretched his hands forward with a smile. "Get up he commanded!". Ella grabbed his hands happily.

Only if Ella knew what Logan had in store for her then she wouldn't have thought she had successfully fooled him for a bit.
