Chapter 7 Damn The Consequence.

Elsa's POV

"What an unpleasant surprise Uriel " I said with a hint of sarcasm.

"Surprise! surprise!" Uriel responded swiftly returning my energy.

"How did you manage to track me down or more intriguing you survived spying on me?" I asked curiously.

"The goblin wasn't wrong, you are a foolish deity, did you in your wildest imagination think I can actually be a mere mortal?" He questioned me obviously still bitter about our brawl.

"I don't have the luxury of such emotion to care." I retorted hoping none of my brothers was within earshot.

"Well, everytime you unsheathe the heavenly spear,it draws me to it." he said plainly. "So?" I asked with a raised brow " I am here to retrieve my spear and find my way back to heaven

" he boasted proudly. I laughed hysterically at the fallen angel's miniature logic." Heavenly God is tired of you and cast you to earth, make peace with it and live as human

" I said as a matter of fact. "Says a deity harboring a fugitive Sayadd. " he retorted angrily.

I turned my back ready to walk away when I felt myself lifted off and swept away by his wings. Shock registered on my face at seeing his brutal wings, fallen angels have their wings clipped before banishment, how the hell had Uriel managed to unclip his. I groaned from the pain as I seem to have broken some ribs from the impact of my fall.

"Surprise! Surprise! I got a cheat code to unclipping my wings, now we can have a proper brawl,I need to win back my heavenly spear fairly." he pointed out firmly.

"I guess we both have secrets to keep hidden ." I said arrogantly taunting him,I know fully well I could not make a match of him with his spread wings.

I fear angels in their totality,I was only able to corner Uriel when he had almost lost all his powers as a result of his banishment from heaven.

"Get up Elsa, let us have a rematch." Uriel responded swiftly, his eyeballs had turned sapphire blue ready to strike me.

"Coward!" I said calmly maintaining eye contact with him. He was shocked by my word but kept his expressionless gaze.

"Get up Elsa." he repeated impatiently "Coward! Were you too afraid to fight me when I wasn't fatigued?" I said arrogantly.

Angels are proud creatures you see, they hated to be underrated especially not by agents of hell.

"Filthy deity! I will extend our brawl to one decade of human timing, when I win, I get to rid you of my heavenly spear and also snitch on your bargin with that impudent death." he said stating his conditions clearly and flying away.

I heaved a deep sigh,I knew I was at a disadvantage already, I bought few years,I need to get myself prepared for the impending battle. I looked round the mansion,I was all alone again.

I managed to get up despite my broken ribs and made for my safe haven. An haunted house I bought with a human information. I managed to use my apparition technique that I learnt recently through self study and ended up knacking my head on the brick wall of the front building.

" Ouch!" I screamed painstaken. I managed to walk in and was greeted by numerous dead fugitives, demons and evil spirits. Each forming their own group, I saw two dwarves trying out a portion a dead witch concocted for them. They both grew longer hairs instead of legs that they intended, the witch laughed hysterically at their disapproving glare. I walked past them without interfering,I couldn't care less about some ungrateful fools.

Although I never once cared about God's will neither does his woes matter to me. I made it to a soft homelike cuddled plant where I occasionally take a nap through my troubled days. The plant awoke as I walked into the room

"Get out! get out! filthy deity." she said authoritatively. I smiled coyly knowing fully well I had infuriated her the last time I visited. Unintentionally I got carried away by her softness that I spread my arrogance in the air.

One of the psychopathic fugitives set one of her stems ablaze. It took us quite sometime to get rid of the flame and save it's remains.A witch's intervention saved her by sacrificing one of her stolon to regenerate and live. She still mourn till date but hate my gut more.

"Relax softie, you didn't die did you? " I said non challantly "But my stolon did!" She retorted angrily coiling her longest branch.

"I just need a bit of a pamper,I got my ribs broken by a brutal angel's wings" I said pitifully hoping the tree emphatize with me. "I do not emphatize with you Elsa, one of my stolon's demise meant nothing to you!" She accused me painstaken. I scoffed loudly

" I am not capable of such emotion, you should know that by now tree" I said in clear terms.

"What if I refuse you today?" She retorted threateningly. I laughed hysterically

"Then you have to get the hell out of my house!" I thundered proudly.

The other spirits around me cowered hoping desperately I don't send them out. The tree looked at me and curled more

"fine! you win deity! come-on in" she said stretching forward her tentacles to me. I smiled satisfactorily feeling pompous,I held unto the tentacles and it wrapped around me gently. I felt a shift in my bones and made a gurgling sound at the pit of my throat.

It massaged my body gently and I felt a crushing sound which gave me some relief. My bones regenerated instantly and arranged systematically as God had originally done it for human.

"How come you are good at this?" I asked curiously "I was raised in the workshop," she responded enthusiastically "God's workshop." she added firmly.

"Were you banished?" I asked

"No,I am on a mission." she responded disentangling herself after patching me up.

"What mission?" I questioned suspiciously

"You can guess." she said smiling awkwardly and wiped me with her strongest branch rendering me unconscious.
