Chapter 5 Defiance

Someday you are gonna meet someone who makes you happy, makes you feel beautiful! And stands by you even when you feel like you don't deserve them!

She could sense that the Cafeteria has turned dead silent but she didn't know why. The person blocking her way was taller and had a well built physique.

Kate looked around and could see everyone looking at her and the person standing before her. Kate looked at him. She has seen this black jacket earlier at her statistics class.

She looked up at him. He had a fine, fresh face with luminous brown eyes.

His classy black hair looked velvety, as if it was deeply conditioned. It was enviable to look. He was breathtakingly attractive and everything Laura said about him was true. Kate guessed this person has to be the one and only JC. No one could resist him and his charms.

'Hey, kay. Control yourself. You must be drooling right now. Do remember he is the devil that people are afraid of!! He is like the lucifer, attractive and dangerous at the same time. Don't fall for it like other girls does. And you better get back to your beast mode!!'

Kate reminds herself to stay strong and face him boldly instead of falling for his charms. She knew she deserved better not the bad boy at all.

He looked at her as if she was some kind of lost kid in the park. Kate stared back with a smirk that made him cross his arms and stood there, staring at her for no reason. In the mean time, the students in the Cafeteria were quiet and waiting for something to happen.

JC'S friends joined him, by standing beside him and the girls stood behind the boys. But Kate showed no fear and she glared at him with the same smirk. For no reason, kate was filled with fury on seeing JC and his friends who stood before her and not letting her move.

Finally, JC spoke up!

"So, the new small girl with the cast turns out to be different than anyone here!!", he smirked.

"So, you must be the boy with the temper, who turns out to be funny for me than anyone here", kate mimicked his words and JC was taken back in surprise. Kate meant it as more of an insult to JC. The whole Cafeteria gasped on hearing her comment. Jc'S friends were shocked on seeing her speak like this, right in front of JC with no fear.

"Do you know whom you are talking to?", threatened one of his friend. Kate acted too cool and smirked again at him and his friends.

"Of course I know who you are!! Listen Joshua Cole, don't ever think of bullying me or threatening me like you do to all other students here, because I'm not afraid of you or your friends. Get that into your head",accused kate pointing a finger at his head.

The whole Cafeteria gasped again and this time the sound was louder than before. Some, even placed their hands over their mouth in shock. JC was astonished on hearing her say such a thing fearlessly.

"Will you excuse me now!!", Kate walked passed him, before he could say anything. All the people in the Cafeteria saw her walking away as if nothing happened there. JC and his friends stood right there and couldn't believe their eyes that something like that happened. They looked at JC to tell something but JC shook his head and burst out a laughter. It has been a long time since they have seen JC laugh like this. People were confused and couldn't understand what his laugh meant. It was more like a devil laugh.

Kate walked fast and moved away from the Cafeteria. She has never been so angry like this at someone for no reason. Someone stopped her by pulling her left hand. It was Jinny.

Kate jerked back. Laura ran towards them with a backpack in her hand.

"Hey, kay. It's unbelievable", confessed Jinny, still in shock and surprise. But there was a slight hint of happiness in her face.

"Kate, what got into you all of a sudden", cried Laura.

"Shut up, Laura. She was amazing and did you see the terrified look on their faces while she spoke. Students will no longer be afraid of them and their bully", expressed Jinny.

"Screw you, Jin !! You know what happens after this, right??", yelled Laura. Jinny face turned pale and nodded.

"What happens after this Laura?? I'm ready to face anything that comes my way", assured Kate, not showing her fear out.

"I'm not sure. If this was done by a boy instead of you, then they would have beaten the shit out of him, bullied him, torture him and he would have left the university abruptly", said Laura scratching her forehead.

"Hey, Laura. Just shut up,okay!.

No, Kay!. Just don't listen to her. You have done the right thing. They can't do anything to you and we are here for you!!", Jinny hugged Kate before she could say anything.

"Sorry for panicking you, kate. I just wanted you to be careful from now on and stay away from few bitches named Doris, Rachel, Melissa and Marilyn", warned Laura.

"Yeah, I get it. But who are they? Doris, Rachel, Melissa...?", kate asked doubtfully.

"They are the worst female humans in the campus. You could identify Rachel, she has oval blue eyes, short bottle blonde hair and the most awkward dressing but she calls herself 'the hottest'. You could see these four girls stick together wherever they go and they are known as the mean girls of our girls dormitory", announced Laura. Kate processed it in her mind.

"And particularly this Rachel, she wanted to be JC'S girlfriend and she is trying to win him over, but pity of Rachel, she has always failed in it.

And this Doris is after Tony. Beware of these four. I hope you would have already come across them. You get to see them with JC'S friends and they go wherever JC and his friends goes", cursed Jinny.

"Jin is not fond of Doris and can you sense it why, Kate??", teased Laura. Kate and Laura giggled while Jinny scowled.

They together walked towards their next classes. Laura brought some sandwiches for them from the Cafeteria. They had those cheese sandwiches and dispersed for their respective classes.

Jinny walked towards her creative writing class. She placed her things on a desk and sat there daydreaming.

She was lost in her own world.

"Mind if I join you??", questioned a manly voice, standing beside her desk, that made her eyes widen in shock. Because this is the voice of the person who appears in her dream every single day. She knew who it was but the worst part is that Jinny was about to run away from here as she looked like a tired ghost because she had a long exhausting day.

Jinny look at him and nodded with a shy smile. Jinny was nervous but she convinced herself it's okay to be jumpy when your crush sits beside you. But the surprising part is that, it's the first time in two weeks, Tony has noticed her ever in creative writing class. Luckily, she and Tony have creative writing class for this particular semester.

"Hey, Jin", smiled Tony and he ran his fingers through his hair to make himself look a little more presentable.

Jinny's blood turned cold on seeing him smile.

'I'm so dead. Is he trying to kill me?? Oh my God, that cheeky smile is driving me nuts. Okay, Jin, Don't spoil this moment. Hold back yourself' Jinny told herself.

Jinny bend down to look at her book, trying to avoid him. She is not ready to make any type of conversation with him. She was nervous and doesn't want to embarrass things between them.

"So, how is it going??", questions Tony looking at her, while she still focused on her notebook.

'How is it going?? What does he mean by that? oh gosh, this boy will never let me live in peace. What do I tell him now??' Jinny's mind was at war with lot of thoughts.

"Good, fine and actually great. Super great, extremely nice ", blurted Jinny. Tony chuckled at her nervousness. Jinny gawked at him which made him laugh hard. Jinny lost her patience.

"Hey, there is nothing funny here!!", whisper yelled Jinny.

"You are cute", Tony chuckled . It was like a bolt out of the blue, Jinny never expected him to say that. Her face turned red and she remained in the state of shock.

The teacher entered the classroom and creative writing class began.
