Chapter 4 Never Get Along

Tricia's POV

That line hits hard, but I just pretended not to care. Our beef was exposed to this kid.

She forced him to leave the garden and faced me. I was relaxed, having nothing to fear.

"I know what you're plotting, but trust me, I'd never let you achieve it"

I rolled my eyes with an expression of contempt as I took a step closer to her.

The last rose in my hand, I pressed it hard and then chuckled.

"I'd watch you try...and Fiona, tame that husband of yours, his on the loss lately" i concluded and walked away from her. I just didn't want to stir up conversations with her.

Her facial expression was bemusement while I wore a proud look. These two would stop at nothing to hurt me again.

Stomping inside the house again, I bumped into Darius. I hid behind my bloody hand but placed a forlorn gaze at him.

He seemed worried as he quickly embraced me with saddened eyes.

"Where have you been? "I've searched everywhere for you" he said, and I grunted, exhausted, wanting to refrain from his hug.

However, when my eyes sighted Trevor staring at us from a distance, I threw my hands around Darius and buried my face in his chest.

I was speechless, desiring that we leave this mansion. We were only here for a family vacation, but I wasn't loving it.

"Can you take me somewhere, quiet?" I requested, feeling tired and exhausted.

***

I found myself in the study room, sitting on a couch and a blanket wrapped on me. Possibly he had a feeling I was cold.

Rather, I was hot and boiling with fury again, Trevor. It's been five years apart. He must have thought I was dead.

Darius blew coffee for me, turned on the heater and then leaned on the desk close to me.

"This atmosphere has it all" he said darkly, and I swallowed hard. My smile faded.

I couldn't drink the coffee either because it wasn't my taste. Tress and I stared at him with the uttermost trepidation.

"Uhmm..." I kept mute, rolling my eyes around. I could tell he was horny and waiting for the perfect moment.

This was meant to be our honeymoon because I didn't let him penetrate inside me, but he has crossed my body.

However, the family feud of whatever got me occupied. I was yet to know everything about Trevor.

Everything about him was a lie to begin with.

He drew closer to me and sat beside me.

He placed his right hand on my thighs and pinched my flesh. I sucked my breath just to make him feel I wanted him.

"Tell me you want us to make love" he whispered seductively in my ear, and my breath ceased.

His free hand unbuttoned his shirt as he leaned closer. He was as alluring as his son, and I was fascinated.

I fluttered my eyes at his chest and cleared my throat as he began to kiss me all over my face. I could hardly concentrate.

I bent over on the couch as he stridded his hands gently underneath my gown, caressing my thigh with his fingers.

He hadn't left my lips. I let out a silent moan as he terminated the kiss. I bite my lips and then shoved my face from him.

"Darius, why don't you freshen up? I promise when you return, we'll fuck all night."

He groaned and kissed my neck. He'd do anything I ask.

"I'd be right back, stay sexy for me"

My eyes stared at his picture. Only he filled the study room. Darius always bored me with his stories about Trevor, his favorite son.

I folded my lips and then gawped at his image.

Hastily, the door knob squeaks open and with a lucid vision of who it is.

I jumped on the table, arched myself on it, crossed my legs and let the blanket fall off. The door locked and when I took my head low, I found Trevor staring.

He was with a mug of coffee. I wasn't expecting him but Darius.

I must have confused him as they look so alike!

His jaw dropped as I quickly took the blanket and covered it up while trying not to look stunned by his appearance.

To worsen it, he wasn't looking away, rather he drew closer.

"What are you doing here?" I questioned with a frown on my face.

He gave me no response and placed the mug on the table, still staring at me in the eyes.

"Don't force yourself if you aren't ready" he suddenly said, gesturing to me to get the coffee.

The strong scent hits my nose. It was my favorite and I loved to take it when stressed.

"It's not poisoned" he muttered, and I gulped hard, feeling nauseated.

I was so horny that I tried to avoid him. I just had to control myself and not look cheap.

The situation was awkward as he had seen my nakedness. He only got to see it once, when we had sex under the influence of alcohol.

I was the shy one and fuck, he was an animal.

I clearly told him I wouldn't need it.

However, he took my palm and made me realize I was hurt.

The rose from earlier pricks my flesh and I didn't notice it.

His touch sent a quiver running down my spine. I was lost in his gaze. It was so passionate that I forgot for a moment that he was the man I loathe.

Quickly, I shoved his hand away, but he was sternly holding on to me.

"You can't heal, let me handle it"

His eyes were different, desperate, emotional and agonizing. He was weird. Tress shrinks her face at him, groaning and bouncing to and fro.

His words weakened me as he knew so much about me, but I barely knew him.

It wasn't love at first sight. Our first meeting was a fight as we both competed for a position in high school.

He was the hot sexy guy, and I was the nerd. Everyone was right, we were never meant for each other.

"If anyone tries to hurt you, I'm just a step away" he suddenly whispers, jerking me back to
