Trevor's POV
She was beautiful, that's what I could say, staring at her from a distance as she majestically walked closer to me. Her bright smile as we locked eyes. Today was a special day for us, where we'd be together at last.
The crowd stood at awe of her entrance, she stole the spotlight.
Of course, everyone was curious to how I could keep to one woman until this very moment. Uncontrollable feelings surged through my body.
I took her hand and twirled her into my arms, walking side by side. She seems shy and I reel up with excitement.
All the scenery and people around us dissolved. It was her and I, alone. My hand brushed across her cheek to feel her so close.
My body was acting on its own, no chains to hold me back from having her. It was our wedding and certainly every girl's dream but it left me wondering, did she dream of such a wedding?
Her lips were plump and inviting, I wanted to kiss them. My wolf Rico lags its tongue out, his teeth retract as his nose shrink.
He hollers while shyly ducking his head to the ground. Obviously, he couldn't wait for her to be his.
She flutters her lashes and I sucked my breath. I peered at her with teary eyes as my decision might be devastating for her.
To be sincere, I was confused over the emotions I had for her. She wasn't in my league, yet she chose to stay.
I never treated her rightly, yet her love was unconditional.
Perhaps, we were mates that's why Rico was so attracted to her that he'd want to carass her body, feeling every ounce of her.
However, I just can't have her. I threw my gaze to the congregation gathered.
They anticipated for a moment like this. Little pups roaming about as though it were their property.
She wanted the wedding to happen in the human way. Her mom's last wish.
The Pope was in front of us, reading the happy ever after lines. Goosebumps held me.
If I'd say yes, then her fate with me will be death.
The Pope read the lines again. I felt under pressure. Sweat beads my face as I gulped hard, not taking my eyes off her.
She narrowed her eyes at me, jinxed and awaiting my response. Rico seems curious too.
It seems as though a cat held my tongue. I could feel my heart fluster.
It wasn't a mutual feeling either way but then why didn't I want to let go?
She was mine. I knew I told her that, I promise her the heavens but...
"We can't go on with this wedding" I announced stepping away from her.
My soft gaze harden as I heard a loud gasp in the hall. It was a shrink sound. The instrumentalists had ceased their orchestra.
They threw their gaze at us. Her mother stood up, baffled by my statement. Rico growls at me.
I could tell he intends to slash me with his claws.
She pulled out her veil and my breath almost ceased as her lucid face stared passionately at me.
My lips were shaky. Her beauty had almost made me reconsider my words again.
I knew she found it awkward and still wear a bright smile on.
She had keep up to my tantrums till this very moment.
"You're joking? Right?" She mutters in between her teeth, taking a calculative step forward but I warned her to stay away.
"I can't have a wolfless mate!" I retorts avoiding her gaze and panting softly.
"Trevor, what are you saying?" She questioned holding the hem of her garment as her voice was fading.
"I reject you as a mate! I can't go on with this relationship...I love someone else..."
"There can't be us" I added up, my head aches and my heart throbs as those words were so difficult for me to roll out.
I paused and shifted my gaze to the congregation again.
There she was, the woman I believe was my world.
A doleful look wears her as I paced towards her.
She was abashed as I stretched my hand for her to hold on to.
Cameras flooded our faces, I knew the media would make use of such exclusive gist but I didn't mind.
She shook her head at me, quite guilty that we betrayed the bride by keeping her in the dark.
My bride drew closer to me and her mom seems like one that would pass out.
"Please, don't... Trevor we could talk this out" she whispers to me holding firmly to my hand but i haul her away.
The murmurs in the crowd were becoming loud as I heard some snickers at Tricia, my supposed bride.
She drew closer to me, holding the held of her garment and tried to hold my hand again but I accidentally elbowed her and she fell.
I shuddered, intending to help her but no! It's the only way to make her believe that we were done.
I clenched my fist wanting knock out the teeth of those who spoke vile against her but then I buried my heart.
"Trevor, this is insane..." Fiona, my supposed lover intended to speak, to clear her name.
"Because I love you and she can't seperate us again" I cut in. She stared at me with disbelief.
Her jaw dropped as I let out a wry smile. I could tell she never expected such day to come.
"Let's not keep it a secret anymore" i beckoned with a bright look at her.
"No! Please don't!" My suppose mother-in-law pleads holding my leg and I flinched her away.
I locked arms with Fiona and walked her to the altar.
"Wed us...pope!" I ordered. The Pope groans softly as his gaze were on the rejected bride.
I took a glimpse at Tricia, she was fuming, hopeless and covered in tears. She held her gown, embraced and ran away from the venue.
Her mother collapsed and the uproar became more loud.
The last I heard of her was her death.
Tricia's POV
He made me hate the rain, his rejection happened on a rainy day, and when he had walked away, I ran after him, calling out to him but he wouldn't hear.
I was furious, because I made him my world and only ended up being betrayed.
That very day, I met with an accident, one that almost cost my life and I was in coma for a while which seems like years.
He didn't even check up on me, it seems as though I never existed. I grieved for him, but he never came.
They say life goes on but that embarrassed on that day was something that I cling on to.
When I woke up from coma after 5 years, he was the first I wanted to see and the only way to see him again is becoming a part of his family.
***
The rain trickles down, it platters on anything visible it could lay its fury on.
I was in it, with my dark outfit but not drained because I had an umbrella. My large hat covered my face slightly. Who knew a day like this would come?
The cold breeze hits me hard as I exhaled softly. My eyes stared at them like a hawk.
The thunder clasp as I tightened my grip on the handle.
He seems happy.
My eyes watch him with that child, swaying him in his arms.
He planted kisses on his cheeks. I barely heard what they say but I know he praised the child for his attempt.
He never asked of me after that fall that cost my life and that of my child.
It's been five years after that incident but it felt like yesterday. I recall falling to his knees for help but he shun me.
Where was his line that he was just an inche away if I needed help?
The words of the doctor were;
"Eat, love, and live up your life"
I was literally traumatized and wish I didn't wake up from coma.
It saddens me it wouldn't be with the man I sacrificed so much for. We had same dream and what did he do?
Rejection! To prove what? Pains! Agony!
Just as he made me lose the people I loved so much, he'd lose everything more.
I gulped hard as I saw her appear from behind him, holding his waist. He swirl her closer to him.
She giggles as he bent her slightly and then captured her lips. I gasped and fluttered my eyes.
When I spur them open I saw them embracing each other and vanishing from that spot.
That should have been me in her place. I wouldn't have retaliated but then, it didn't just end in the wedding...
"Babe..." His husky voice called as he kissed me on my left cheek. I felt his presence enveloped me.
His arms were spread around my waist as he buried his face on my shoulder.
"You look so beautiful in black" he complimented and i faked a smile.
His grip on my waist tightens as he sniffs my neck. He was my future interest, Darius Smith, father of Trevor.
We just got married and his ring's just stuck to my finger, glowing in the dark.
"I can't wait to have you tonight" he whispers and I froze where I stood. I requested to be introduced to the family, to see Trevor's reaction.
He kissed me in the rain, holding me lightly from falling.
My hands were trembling as he twirl my lips to his taste. I felt he'd take the rest of my miserable soul.
However, I haul myself closer to him as his body sticked to me.
He terminated the kiss and I gasped softly.
"It's time to introduce, my majesty to the family" he proudly declared. He loves to praise me and I guess Trevor learnt that path from him.
"I hope the family would love me" I said in a depressing tone.
He nudge my nose, with an assurance that they would. I slowly closed my eyes and when I spur them open, I found myself at a large door.
***
I was nervous but I kept my chin high. The mansion spoke of wealth and it was magnificent. The maids were in array according us with respect. They must have heard I'd be joining the family.
"You got this Tricia" he whispers. His soothing words crashes in my head. He was just the perfect man for me.
However, the love he desired, seems far away. It was a night that drew him this close.
The door glides open and he was the first my eyes fell upon. My nightmare!
All eyes on the table were rolled to me.
I was making my grand entry. I poised my hat and exhaled deeply.
The sight of me made him get on his feet.
He had a shocked gaze at me, like I was a ghost.
I cartwalked with a bright smile.
Perhaps, he didn't even realize that he was on his feet at my appearance.
My lips didn't wear off the devilish smile. I walked pass him and intensional brush his shoulder.
However, I paused as I felt an electrifying knot inside my stomach. For the first time, in a long while, I felt my wolf grunt!
He rolled his face at me and we exchange a quick glance. It seems as though he wore a piteous look, not expecting me to be alive.
The gifts in his hands dropped as he scoffed unbelievably.
I sat down close to Darius and held his arm while resting my head on his shoulder.
The only person who didn't hide his lustful feeling was adnar. His eyes lowered at me.
"Sexy" he muttered and then rake his hair with his fingers.
He was the least regarded in the family. A junkie working on himself. In other words, he was just an outcast.
Darius had only called for this dining to introduce me to them.
Staring at him, I could tell he wanted to lurch off me but he was just an open bait for me.
"You're got an adorable family" I commented with an intensed gaze at Fiona.
Her hands were trembling. Obviously, the fear in her eyes were noticable.
"Bro, you look like a pulp tomatoes, sit" adnar muses as he relaxed his back on the chair.
However, Trevor refused to sit as he clenched his fist.
"You... didn't..tell me, you were marrying her"
I felt that question was for me. His vein tighten around his neck as I could see he was furious.
"When have you shown up for any important event?" Alan replied as though he was the mouthpiece over here.
Trevor threw a glare at him and he grabbed a glass of wine and gulped hard.
"Show some respect son!" Darius barks. His eye brows furrowed
I raised my head high, pride surging through me. With Darius, Trevor would be under my feet.
"I hope we, get along. Son"
Tricia's POV
I replied laying a bitter emphasis on the word son.
He gave me no response as he seems quite uncomfortable. He jeered at me, raked his left brow and shoved Fiona's hand from me.
"You're beautiful" Liam comments and I faked a smile at him.
"Oh wow, thank you" i responded in between my teeth and Fiona gestured to him to keep silence.
"Fiona, what do you think?" I asked maintaining a smile at her.
Her attention was drawn to me. She had grabbed a wine glass.
Her name from my lips made her shudder that the glass in her hand shattered on the ground.
Alan quickly stood up, intending to assist but with Trevor close by, he'd handle the mess.
I saw how piteously he glanced at her. I grimanced at him.
Something was definitely going on?
"Are you alright?" He asked in a low tone which got me bemused. He was soft and not harsh.
As for the gentleman Darius, he asked if she was hurt but she responded she was fine.
"You haven't given me a reply"
That was my only concern.
Trevor and Fiona shifted their gaze at me.
"It's good having you around" she replied grudgingly.
A maid quickly appeared to clean up the broken glasses and I decided to ease myself.
Hastily, I paced towards the rest room, slam the door and sigh heavily.
My heart bounced as I sniffed, memories lurks in my head as I tried to push away.
I moved over to the vanity section, glancing at the mirror and trying to commune with tress.
I knew I felt her.
I shuddered as I heard a footstep approaching me.
His fragrance hits my nose hard, I felt mousey not wanting to admit the sensation I was feeling around me.
Then his image appeared. We locked as eyes and I rolled to face him. He was so close and his breath fanned me.
His mauve eyes glaring at me. I intended to ignore him, to push him aside. He followed me all the way here!
However, before I could take a step, he had taken my hand and pulled me to a corner.
My back slams against the wall. Surge of emotions flooded inside of me and tress spoke!
He lean closer to me, my heart thudding as I swallowed hard. I was willing to stab him with the pin in my hand.
"I don't want to believe this, you seduced my father and fuck! Had him make you his?" He growl.
My lips were shaky but I kept a stern look at him. My tail pops out and I tightened my thighs not to reveal them.
I couldn't morph into a wolf but what was happening?
I have him no response, as I battled with tress, unfolding.
"Are you doing this to make me jealous?" He pressed on, gazing deeply into my eyes.
His gaze affected me in so many ways and goosebumps held me.
"There's nothing between us... remember?" I snapped barely recognizing my own voice.
His heat simmer through the gown I wore. I felt hot, which was so unusual.
"End this relationship, you can't be with anyone, not him!" He ordered and I was fucking nervous wanting to push him off.
His words pissed me off. Does he think I'm the old Tricia who does as he commands?
"Why? You don't own me and I chose to be with anyone I want!" I barked back with so much fury in my eyes.
I felt my ears enlarged and quickly, I covered it with my hair while curling myself.
He rakes his hair panting softly and screeching.
"Listen Tricia, you can't be here!" He panics. I had a feeling he was hiding something but just couldn't say the word.
Does he want me? I doubt, his greed over property shares must be the pain.
"Are you scared I'd take all the properties and flee?" I seductively questioned, furious that he belittles me.
Tress, glowers at him. She was willing to jump out and devour him. It was obvious, she was awoken after coming in face with the man who betrayed her.
However, we couldn't finish him now, he has to have a taste of his medicine.
He scoffed and then licked his lips subconsciously. I saw his fang, like he controlling himself from morphing just as I was.
"Think whatever you want but I will end this relationship! I swear it!"
"You rejected me remember? You weren't there but he was! Back off!" I snarled and he darken his gaze at me.
He arched his arm over my head, trapping me in his own space as his breath was slow.
"You're free to hate me but you...you can't be with my father, it's complicated, you might..."
"Shut up Trevor! Respect your mom!" I stressed glowering at him while pushing him away.
"What?" He brawl grimacing at me. It irritates him to hear that from my lips but then...he just has to accept the truth.
He gulp hard as we intensely gaze at each other, exchange breath.
He attempted to hold me back again but out of control, I slashed his face with my claws.
I didn't mean that but tress was happy that she got his blood on her claws.
He sway his face to the left side. I saw my fingers on his face which left a scar.
Blood drool from his cheek and I pant heavily. I was fuming as though I'd explode.
My care wasn't there anymore and rather than flinching at my act, I justified.
"Stay away from me Trevor, I can do more!" I threatened, took a long stare at him and walked away.
I didn't want to join the family at dinner and just took a different direction.
***
I paced towards the garden, walking through the lobby and finally arrived here.
My head was occupied and I needed to clear it. However, his image keeps coming back.
He'd heal up, I was certain of it. Tress crouch her self on the ground. It was good thing she was back.
I thought I lost her.
"Hello pretty grandma" his voice eluded my thoughts and I shoved my gaze at him.
"Mrs Tricia would do" I corrected and snatched the roses from his hands.
I had a cruel gaze at him, he was my enemie's son and so I shouldn't relate with him.
"Can we be friends?"
He furthers with a bright face at me.
"Watch" I muttered, and dumped the roses to the ground, except one.
His warm look at me changed as he was frighten. I stomped on the roses then let out a grievous stare at him.
"Trust no one kid or you'd be trampled upon!" I encouraged like a saint.
He was shivering where he stood, I took my hat down and tears brewed in his eyes.
"The people I trusted caused this!" I raged stomping harder on the roses.
"Liam!" Fiona called running towards him and she quickly hide him behind her.
"Didn't I tell you to stay away from this witch!"
"But mom..."
"Shush! Never come close to her or she'd bury you like these roses!"
