Chapter 2 0002

It's been two weeks since Theo's death, and I'm still not over it; I remember everything bit to bits as if it happened yesterday; he was my happiness, my life. How could I live without him? Just the thought of not being able to see him made me sick. I've cried my eyes out these past days and made countless wishes to have him back; I would give up everything just to be with him one last time, but only if wishes were horses.

Oh! Don't get me wrong I've tried to commit suicide but his men are always there looking at me and watching me, I can't even kill myself in peace for they'll be there to save me and if Luca knows I tried anything as stupid like that he doesn't hesitate but to punish me, like today I just finished running on the stairs while repeating 'I'll not do it again," countless time it was stuck like a rhythm in my head.

I hated Lyca; I didn't care if he was the Alpha.; I wished him dead with everyone that cheered against my Theo that day and if fate doesn't do justice, I'll take the fate in my hands, and he'll die by my hands, I vowed.

The door was knocked, and it was the servant assigned to me; she was called Angel, and she lived up to her name; she was there the night I was forcefully brought to this cursed house; as I was crashing out, she hugged me and gave me hope.

"You have to wait for your time to see him, for if you commit suicide, you might not be able to see him again because he's in a better place," She told me.

I remember her words, and every day I open my eyes, her words replay in my head, except today, I've had enough of Luca or whatever his name is.

" You're being summoned madam," She said with her beautiful voice.

"Angel, we've been through this multiple times. It's Zuriel for you," I said, releasing a smile I haven't had for days.

"Sir said you should look elegant. We have guests today," Angel said, bowing down.

"We'll tell him Zuriel said that he should go and fuck himself," I said in anger.

"What did you say that I should do," Luca said entering the room.

No matter how strong and brave I might be, his voice was enough to shake me, and fear could be seen all over me. He entered the room, and it was the first time I saw him in his human form.

He was a well-built man, but what did I expect him to look like? His face was innocent for a ruthless man like him; he stood six feet two tall, making Angel appear like an ant next to him. I look at the ground to avoid his gaze.

"Leave us," Luca spoke and Angel walked out in a hurry. I stood there waiting to experience his cruelty.

"Don't you think you're taking this too far," He lowered his voice, which shocked me, but what did he mean by taking it too far? You mean mourning a man that you took away from me.

"It's time to move on; he's never coming back to embrace your new life; you're my Luna; you're a queen to the most powerful human alive," He spoke in pride.

His words didn't bother me. I just wanted him out of the room before I snapped.

"Now I want you to dress up and behave at the party, don't you dare embarrass me," His voice turned cold, and he revealed his true inner self, but I'm not surprised at this anymore. He snapped his fingers, and the maids entered different dresses and shoes. It was as if they carried the whole mall; I hadn't seen so many clothes choices in my life.

"Meet me downstairs in five hours," He spoke, walking out and leaving me sitting down on the floor.

I was there, if I didn't go I would humiliate him and he might do something crazy like kill me but I couldn't let that happen I'm the one supposed to kill him no one else, my maids were the ones assigned to me and no one has any right to see me expect from them, but if I go I'll meet someone who hates him and forever we might bring him down, my eyes light up with hope and I picked myself up.

I went to the bathroom, and maids were waiting there for me, too; my bathtub was filled with milk instead of water. I entered inside, and they began to wash me. For a moment, I forgot my sorrow as I enjoyed my bath. They dressed me up from my hair to my shoes.

I looked at myself in the mirror and I couldn't recognize who was at the end of that mirror, my dress was elegant, my make-up on point and my hair long black Rapunzel hair flowed down my body but I didn't mean that, I could be able to see my spark the light in my eyes were dead, I saw Theo yes him, he walked towards me and kissed me on my back.

The maids looked like they couldn't see him but I was lost in the moment of seeing my beloved again.

"Everyone is waiting for you," Angel spoke and suddenly, the vision of Theo disappeared; God knows I wanted him to stay longer, but I knew it was just an imagination.

The servants helped me lift my gown as I walked out and into the room filled with elite people; I could recognize no one in the crowd except Luca, who was flirting with another woman.

"The audacity," I spoke briefly as I stood there waiting to be noticed.

I didn't have to wait for long as Luca did; he observed me with a smile. I saw his face light up, but it wasn't for me, at least I thought; he walked to me with the brightest smile on his face; he came and kissed my hands, which made me so uncomfortable.

"Ladies and gentlemen, can I have your attention," He said, hitting his wine glass with a spoon, catching the attention of everyone in the room.
