Chapter 2 The fury family

Chapter Two

After the furious battle between the Ryders and Wolfson Pack, for over two decades, no one has been able to access the Portal to the celestial realm and so has been locked from access. The bloodline started fading and the fifth generation had no idea of their lineage, and lived in a small hut in Josenburg. The celestial realm has been closed for over two decades and since no one has been able to open it

That very day, Mr and Mrs Fury along with their son, Damien were working in an open field, with the grass dancing in the sunlight.

It's the summertime, the perfect time for them to work on the fields, and nothing made them happier than the fact that it was going to be Mrs. Fury's birthday in a few days.

They were humming and discussing about the last time Damien hunted a big antelope and refused to show more love to his dad.

"... Damien, your mom has stolen your heart from me".

"Come-on, dad, you know Mom loves Antelope not me, she'll keep loving the sizes I bring and not my heart", he laughs, as he removes the weed from underneath his foot.

They were clearing the fields so they could plant rice.

"Stop it dear, don't let your dad deceive you, I want more Antelope from you because you're my darling charming son whom I want to live fed by his hands", Audrey blushes.

Suddenly the once peaceful atmosphere became distraught with fear and awful screams.

The sound of a thousand boots was heard coming from afar, with some men on the coach and horses.

It was the sound of a big war, and a lot of killings were happening from afar.

"Follow me", Titon orders, as they run towards the forest.

"Look there", a soldier spots Titon and increases his speed but he was faster. They then aimed towards his feet with an arrow, but he ran in an opposite direction to avoid it. That was how they all got separated in the chase. Audrey and Titon ran towards the north approaching the cave of Meribah, while Damien ran towards the east, approaching the Forest of Kur, which was close to a small village where the aged were mostly found.

Damien looked so exhausted from running, and paused to catch his breath over a tree stand. Suddenly, a stick fell on him, and when he looked up, he saw a leopard. Fear gripped him in an instant and he sensed they were more of them. Staggering backwards, he attacked the first Leopard he could get his grip on, and fought tirelessly until he broke its jaw. The rest attacked him and some aimed at his hand, while others at his leg, but he didn't let go of the prey he caught because he knew it was their Alpha. If only he could kill it, the rest will scatter like sheep without a shepherd.

Alas, he was able to kill the Alpha Leopard, and the rest ran off back into the wild forest.

He was already weak and exhausted, as he staggered in his steps before falling into a ruffle of leaves.

Mr and Mrs Wilson, aged 75 and 72 were strolling the forest this very day, to get something they could eat. Mrs Wilson stayed behind her husband as he led the way with his hand on the riffle of the old gun he held, ready to defend himself should Incase an abrupt entry of a wild beast.

"Hey, look there, a boy", Mrs Wilson says as he hurries to Damien's lifeless body.

"He must have been attacked by the animals here, he's losing blood", Mr Wilson inspects Damien closely to be sure he wasn't armed, as they were warned in the village not to accept strangers who were armed to prevent the collision of a war.

"We'll take him, right dear?" Mrs Wilson says sweetly, as she manages to raise his heavy body, with her husband's help.

But, she noticed something strange. Hisl legs were completely covered in hair, but she dissipated every lingering thought and proceeded towards their home.

Finally, they came home, and placed him on a mat, before Mrs Wilson quickly warmed a small amount of water. She then damped a small piece of cloth in the water, and placed it above his head, before tendering to his wounds.

Mr Wilson went out briefly and came in with some stray dogs he had killed, and he helped his wife set the fire and prepared it, whole she took care of Damien. He saw the love in her eyes she showed towards Damien like he was her son. It brought back the old memories of how she had longed to have her own son.

"I see you took a liking to him", says Mr Wilson.

"I...", she fumbled over words, as her husband pulled her into a hug and kissed her forehead.

"He'll be fine, your son will be fine..."

Damien lazily opens his eyes, before jolting up in shock. His environment looks so different than his last, that he almost thought he was captured during the war.

He tried to process how long he's been here when his brain got distracted by the sweet aroma coming from the kitchen, and strangely he could see the full woman behind the curtains even if she was backing him with her silver linen flowy hair.

His senses then heightened to the old man chopping wood some distance away, which he presumed was her husband.

When he realized what he just did, his brain began hurting him as he held his head in confusion of how he was able to see through everyone in the Wilson's family.

Standing up, he made slow steps towards the kitchen, and warmly greeted the woman before him.

"Good morning ma'am"...

"Oh dear! You've awoken, just a minute here", Mrs Wilson says as she places some porridge on a plate, and makes her way to the table. "Are you feeling dizzy, weak, or anything you need?"

Damien nods before speaking up. "How did you find me, and how long have I been here?"

"A month. You were laying lifeless in some ruffled leaves before we brought you here. The forest is dangerous and I guess you fell for its wild beasts", Mrs Wilson says as she places some spoons on the side of the tray. Just in time, her husband walked in, and seemed happy to see Damien awake and happy.

Soon, they stretched themselves around the table and ate, but Damien kept feeling strange feelings and earnest desires to go to the wild forest. He tried to ease the tension in his mind by distracting himself but he kept having strange feelings that he wasn't used to being caged in the walls of a house.

Before the war that separated him and his family, they lived in a cave in one of the forests there. During winter, they always move to a hut closeby, so he wasn't used to a place away from the wild. He grew up hunting animals, as he always has fun doing it, and his dad always encouraged him to go for the bigger animals to demonstrate his authority as a man.
