Chapter 2: What a world!

"All I know is you would be going with Mr Bob tomorrow, or else...." Cylene snorted. "Or else what? You think I am the same Flora that you know? Smirks... stop being deceived." Flora said.

" Mum has said it and that's final, bitch, go to hell." Presch added hers. Immediately Presch said that, Flora neared her and gave her a resounding slap that echoed in the living room. "Kpak, make sure you never utter that to me again, or else it won't be just once....Hiss...". Flora said.

"Youuuuu, who gave you right to do that huh? Presch said while crying. Cylene moved to her daughter and started petting her. "Flora you will regret this. I promise you." Cylene complained. Flora left the mother and daughter without answering or looking back.

"I don't just understand the mother and daughter pairs, I have to act fast. Whatever tricks they are up to, I must overpower them in all." Flora begin to calculate her next plan. Since she has seen the true side of Broe, her world and reality about life has completely change.

"Mum that bitch must be taught a lesson. She thinks she owns herself? She must be really dreaming."

"Don't mind her my princess, Mr Bob will take care of her tomorrow.... smiles.... she doesn't know what is coming for her."

The mother and daughter laughed hystericallly together, imagining the kind of shame that would befall Flora the next day. They can't wait to see her reaction tomorrow. This alone gives them an huge happiness.

It was Friday morning, 7:40 on dot. Flora got up early from bed. She had planned to get a new place for herself, the pressure she gets from her step mother and sister must come to an end.

She took her phone and dialed the agent's number she had gotten from her friend Beauty. "Hello, Good morning. This is Ryain Flora, I need an apartment to live alone and I'll prefer the area at the Minute Rolland area."

"Hello ma'am. You can be rest assured that we offer best and comfortable deliveries. Ok, let me get back to you about the area. I'll call you in some minutes time. Would you like a self contain or what is your choice?.

"I would like a room self please. It just me alone and I prefer the area because it closer to my work place."

"Ok ma'am. Let me call you back." Flora went to the kitchen and start making her breakfast after the call ended. She made a light breakfast so she can get to work on time. After some minutes, she dressed up and went to work.

"Ohhh, who is this? She seems new in this company."

"Isn't it that lady who photographs for those entertainers?

"Oh I remember. That slut that almost seduce our manager? I just don't like her".

As Flora got inside the company, she heard two of the staffs gossiping about her. She acted as if she couldn't see or hear them. This provoked the gossipers more.

"Can't she hear us? Why does she love pretence? Just like how she showed her seductive character in the company."

Kpak..."why can't you just mind your business? People like you shouldn't be employed to work here. It fits you when you are given to tasks to take care of wild animals because you are just like them. You aren't just humans at all." Flora slapped the last speaker and responded.

"You think you have the right to talk back at us? You better leave now before we call the manager on you."

Gladys and Messy abhors Flora from the first day they had met her. They hated her for her competency and transparency, they believed she is having a kind of thing with high men in high places to obtain the kindness people show to her in the company.

Flora knew they never liked her, this is one of the reasons she doesn't talk to much people in the company except for few and those few are just only greetings or quick talk.

She ignored them and left, she can't be wasting her time with some lazy bodies.

At noon, Flora was done with her work, so she left the company. Today, she prepared for a client's photoshoot to be shot tomorrow, so it was just an indoor work for her.

"Good evening ma'am". A young man in his early twenties greeted and sat down. He brought out some documents and put off his fashion spectacle.

Flora sat down and greeted back. "Good evening, have you gotten it for me? Because I was expecting your call since we last talked".

"I wanted us to see that was why I didn't call earlier. Don't be offended ma. So these are the available apartments at Minute Rolland area, I am very sure you will love them, you can check them out".

Flora checked the houses and finally picked one. They both left to inspect the chosen house physically. When they got there, she loved it and made her payment to the man.

She called her friend Beauty who assisted her to pack into the new apartment. After hours of cleaning, it was late at night. They decided to go shopping for food items and eat on their way home. Both friends were exhausted and had no strength to cook for the night.

"I am really tired, I need to sleep on time. I have to go inspect my ordered goods coming tomorrow. As you know that I just opened a boutique store". Beauty said trying to lie on the bed.

"Alright, I am not stopping you from sleeping. You have worked a lot today. I have somethings to discuss with you about your fashion business, however that would be another time, I need to sleep on time too, I have a shoot tomorrow".

Both friends slept off unknowingly. The night was dark with few stars in the sky. No one knew what will happen the next day. In a blink of an eye, anything can surface.
