Chapter 8 One Forbidden Night II

If only Tobias had any idea of how obsessed Lily was with him and how she would not let him go easily. She was determined to do everything possible to get him to claim her. As she watched Tobias slowly walk away, she clenched her fists in anger. "I can't just let you go like that. You won't leave me to end up with Derek because, at the end of the day, even when Derek takes me away, I won't ever get to see you," she muttered, standing up and walking away.

If Tobias would not claim her, then she had no choice but to force him into doing it. She thought to herself before rushing to her chambers and waiting patiently for nightfall. Meanwhile, Tobias busied himself with the tasks assigned to him by the Alpha. He had to gather rugs and other supplies, which kept him occupied and helped him avoid thinking about Lily every moment. He was now so absorbed in his work that the Alpha smiled in appreciation, glad that nothing seemed to be going on between Lily and Tobias anymore.

He turned to one of his advisors, who suggested that Tobias should be sent on a mission to marry Alpha Derek. Though the Alpha did not want that to happen, he knew he had no choice because keeping Lily and Tobias in the same place just would not work. Deep down, he sensed the connection between them. He had always known about it but had kept Tobias close to Lily because he knew that with the way Tobias felt toward her, he would protect her with all his might, just as he had done the other night when she ran away.

Later that night, Tobias returned very late, feeling exhausted. He waved goodbye to the guards and slowly walked into his chambers. Locking the door, he heaved a sigh of relief as he leaned against it, reflecting on everything that had transpired. Immediately, thoughts of Lily flooded his mind. But before he could think any further, Lily emerged from his bathroom, stunning him into silence. His eyes nearly bulged out of their sockets as he took in her seductive appearance.

"What exactly do you think you are doing here? Why don't you listen? Do you want me to be banished from this pack? Is that what you want? You don't want me anywhere around here?" he questioned, a mix of shock and concern in his voice.

Lily laughed softly, walking toward him in a way that made it clear Tobias was not going to escape easily. "I am not trying to get you banished. I'm only trying to make our love happen. But you keep pushing me away. I don't know what else to do. Please, don't abandon me. You are all I have," she pleaded, wrapping her arms around him.

"Can you just stop this already? What if a maid or someone had seen you? How are we going to solve that situation? What excuse would I give your brother? How will I explain that you came here lost or were sleepwalking? He won't believe anything. Please don't put me in any trouble and just leave," he urged.

But Lily shook her head, clearly stubborn and unwilling to accept his words. "You can't just say that and expect me to let you go. No, I won't. I've worked too hard to have you as mine, and I don't plan on losing that now. It's me and you against everything. If you don't fight for me, then when else will you fight for something you really want? This is your chance to fight for us," she insisted.

Tobias laughed bitterly. "Who told you I never fought for what I wanted? I always have, and at the end of the day, I ended up losing it even more badly than I should have."

"Then fight for me. Fight for us. Claim me as yours, and let all this be over. I promise you won't regret it," Lily said as she slowly moved closer until their lips brushed against each other. Tobias pushed her away, trying to resist the temptation.

"Leave, or I will leave the palace for you for good. If you don't stop these advances, I will take permission from the Alpha and leave you for good. Would that be better? Would you watch me leave just because I'm trying to stay away from you?" he warned.

But it was too late. Tobias could no longer control himself; his wolf had taken charge. His wolf had caught her scent and could not resist. Lily knew she had won the moment she saw Tobias. She smiled at him and kissed him passionately. He did not step back; he did not budge. He just stared at her, shaking his head.

"I don't want us sneaking around. If I love you, I want to fight for you with all my might. But I can't do that. Not yet. Not now. You are still so young, and your brother has so many expectations for you. That is why he is sending you to Derek-because he expects you to meet those expectations. You have to do it. I don't know what else to do, but please don't let us make a mistake we would regret. If we seal this, it means you belong to me and me alone. I don't like to share what I own," Tobias said, hoping his warning would make her hesitant.

But instead, she kissed him again, pressing herself against him until she could feel his desire growing between her legs. Tobias was unable to resist as he began to kiss her all over. He lifted her up passionately, placing her on the bed, crawling over her as he kissed her continuously without wasting time. He slowly slipped the straps of her nightdress off her shoulders, continuing their passionate exchange.

Lily had anticipated this moment all her life, and she was ready to savor every bit of it. They both unclothed as Tobias made sure to take his time, being careful with her because this was clearly Lily's first time. He wanted to ensure she experienced every part of lovemaking before he slid into her. He made sure she was unable to control her moans as they sealed the bond. They were now bonded as mates, and Tobias was not going to let go of her now. She belonged to him and him alone.

While Lily reveled in the moment and Tobias fulfilled his long-held wish, they were unaware that someone else had overheard everything they discussed and was on the way to report to the Alpha. It turned out that Lily's brother, Damon, still doubted Tobias and had placed the same maid who had informed him earlier in a position to spy on Tobias. In case Lily ever came there, not only did Lily come, but she stayed a long time and did not leave. Now Tobias was caught in the Alpha's trap, with no way to escape.

The maid had made sure to catch them red-handed, and now there was no way for Tobias to evade this situation. He had been caught, and the Alpha was not going to let him go. As the Alpha paced in his study, he clenched his fists in frustration before yelling, "Guard!"

One of the guards rushed in. "Get me Tobias, chained," he instructed. Even though he knew Lily would still be with Tobias, he wanted her to witness the wrath of his anger.
