Grayson left his seat to meet her, worried about her, he held her by the arms.
"Lyra, are you alright?" -Grayson said as he caressed her face.
She recognized that voice-the one that sent a shiver down her spine. Soft yet powerful, it carried just enough warmth to reassure her that she would be okay.
"Open your eyes, Lyra"
"Please don't let them take me" -She said, giving him a tight hug.
For the first time, she didn't care about the consequences, she just wanted to hold on to him till it was all over. For some reason, Grayson felt nervous and weird. His heart raced while she was close to his chest.
While she realized herself, she slowly opened her eyes, rubbing off the tears that covered her cheeks. She also smelt the beautiful fragrance that was from Grayson, she paced backwards hiding her embarrassed face and lowered her head for a greeting.
"My king" -She said dryly
"My King, You have been called" -Ragnar, his Beta said interrupting them.
While they spoke, Lyra's eyes darted around for Azura but instead she found her with Rosalind. Her mind flashed back to Rosalind being behind her when she met eyes with Azura. She heaved, sending out sighs of relief.
She felt a soft touch on her shoulder.
"I'll be back, wait here for me." -He said.
Lyra was shocked at how the Alpha king treated her nicely, she was surprised her wolf hasn't shown any affection yet, she called out to her wolf trying to find its voice but it didn't say a word.
While Grayson was saying his speech, it softened her heart, she liked everything about him. They way he made her feel showed she was safe. She didn't forget the fact, Damien could have been here instead of Azura. She wondered if they were searching for her since they must have found out about her disappearance by now.
Rowan jumped at her, distracting her away from her thoughts. Lyra smiled at her admiring how childish she was.
"What were you thinking about?" - Rowan asked.
She thought about telling her the truth, she thought about speaking her mind and telling her how unsafe she would be if her owner found her but as she made a move to speak, she heard a loud applause for the Alpha after his speech as he made his way to Rowan and Lyra.
"You were so good up there" -Rowan said as she giggled.
"I had to, since I am the Alpha king. I have a lot of contracts signed up with the kings here. This feast is a little celebration of how great we are united" -Grayson said.
"So Damien could have been here? And if he was actually here, would he take me along with him?" -Lyra whispered.
She was absent minded as her thoughts led her to the possibility of her being taken away from this peaceful home. She was scared again, she couldn't even hear her name from Rowan who continuously called out to her.
"Don't worry, I'll stay with her." -He said, smirking at her
"Come with me"
He held her by the hand and took her away from the party, he thought it might be the reason she was drifting away.
She wondered why he was so nice to her, the way he held her was as soft and kind as anyone had held her in a while. She was nervous but relaxed at the same time. In his hands, she felt safe. His scent, his hair, his body posture, him as a whole was enough to take her breath away.
"Have a seat, Lyra"
"Thank you, My king"
He smiled at her. He noticed how her hands were gripped tightly and as he touched her hands, her eyes widened with a bit of surprise. Her heart pounded and she immediately took his hands off him.
He noticed, ignoring her, he said-
"I thought the party may have been the cause of your discomfort"
"I'm fine, My king. There's no need to worry." - Lyra said, standing up swiftly.
He nodded, with his hands behind but he couldn't keep his hands to himself. He slowly lifted her jaw and slid the double strand of hair that covered her eyes behind her ears. He moved close to her bending to her height and slowly, he tilted his head to her ears
"I'm always here for you"
He gently kissed her neck while she warred within herself. Her wolf woke up and she felt it. She let out a little moan parting her lips while her eyes slowly closed. He slowly placed his hands around her waist drawing her close to him.
"Lyra" -He gently called.
She opened her eyes staring into his eyes, she could only hold herself from doing anything she'd regret. She resisted again, moving out from his arms. In a haste, she paced back and lowered her head for a greeting and left for her room.
Grayson smiled as he sat down on the wooden bench. He felt his heart race.
As Lyra rushed into her room, she closed the door and laid on her bed. As she looked at the beautiful light above her, her thoughts led her to the incident at the restroom with the alpha and to the garden. She chuckled, she loved that feeling. She immediately put her pillow close to her and dozed off.

A loud beat of footsteps could be heard, running in an unknown direction. Suddenly, she falls and she groans as her skin was scratched off by the thorns from the trees. She stood up panting and continued, her loud breathing indicated how tired she was and her heart kept racing, she didn't know where she was going but she knew following the fire that she saw from afar would lead her somewhere.
Finally, she got there. Standing by the gate, she held it trying to catch her breath but the loud growl of the wolves scared her, she lifted her gaze and in shock she couldn't move and suddenly it started running to her direction. Startled as she was, she made a move to run but her name was heard waking her up from her dream.
"Lyra!" -Grayson yelled, as he was so tense. It was shown all over his face.
"Are you Okay?" -He asked again
But she wasn't okay. She held her chest, trying to ease her pounding chest and cleaning off her sweats. She laid down, finally catching her breath.
Grayson helped her with some water and as she drank, she felt a rumbling in her stomach. She hit the glass which made it fall to the ground.
Before he could say a word, he saw her rush off to the toilet and vomited everything she ate.
"What is happening? Lyra? Are you okay?" - He rushed to meet her and saw her crying.
She was deeply scared not for her life but for her child.
"My child." -She cried as she rubbed her belly.
Cleaning off her tears to head back to the room, she forgot Grayson had been with her there. She turned around and saw him standing behind her, in confusion with his eyes fixed on her stomach. That was the end, she definitely knew it.
