Lyra turned her gaze away and picked up the knit to continue knitting her unfinished bag, she was shy but if Rowan knew, she wouldn't hear the last of it. A smile not intentionally, broadened on her face and she reluctantly shifted her gaze as Rowan shot her a wide stare of excitement.
"Rowan, stop it" - she said, sending out soft smiles.
"Why don't I help you out?" - Rowan asked, ignoring her shy face.
"Yes, do that. Don't say such things" - Lyra said
They both giggle, they seemed to have bonded very fast as Lyra's wolf felt relaxed whenever she was with Rowan. Rowan was a delta and she also had powers of her own.
"Rowan, why do you think the Alpha king is nice to me?" - Lyra curiously asked
Rowan shot her a surprise stare opening her mouth as she touched her cheeks shocked at her innocence.
"Do you really not know why the Alpha king likes you?"
Lyra nodded indicating she knew nothing about his reasons.
"This is the first time he is drawn to someone, don't you the way he looks at you? My gosh! He brought you into his palace! Which king does that if they haven't bought you? And even if the king didn't purchase you, he would never bring you into his home"
"Oh really?" - shocked by what she said,
"Yes, he has never brought time to look at any female wolf, especially the betrayal from his past relationship and the death of his parents. He has always been busy with work."
"Death of his parents? Betrayal from his past relationship?" -she asked with anxiousness
"Oh, yes. It is a long story" - Rowan said.
Lyra felt bad for him, she thought to herself. He was so good to her, how would he have felt when such bad things happened to him at the same time.

Rosalind rushed into her room, panting. She closed the door and looked startled. Not in the sense of fear, but she was disturbed.
"That girl is pregnant, I know that for sure"- she said dryly.
She sat down, and rushed to her bag scattering her
clothes, she looked uneasy and suddenly she found something -it was a silver. Her facial expression changed and then, she made a smirk.
"Now, she can't lie" -she said and left her room.
When it was late after dinner, Lyra stood in front of the mirror. She combed her soft oily hair down and after that she tied it up exposing her beautiful oval face. She applied a little cream to her tender skin and perfumed her body. She wore the robe kept for her by the maidens and as she put it on, her eyes shifted to the belly. Tears rolled up in her eyes but she wiped it, sadness was seen in her eyes and how she was ready to protect this child whenever and however she could. It broke her that she had to lie to gain the trust of people who deeply cared for her.
"I promise to not let harm come your way." - she said, cleaning off her wet cheeks.
Her eyes shifted back to her reflection and she adored herself and smiled softly. As she turned around walking to the direction of her bed, she saw Rosalind standing in front of her. She was stunned at first but the compressed but fierce stare from Rosalind was enough to run for her dear life but instead she cleared her throat softly, lowered her head for a greeting but Rosalind didn't appear interested.
She looked angered, which was the first time Lyra had seen her that way. Worried as she was, she stepped back. Rosalind shut the door behind her and walked towards her.
"Whose child are you carrying?"
