Chapter 5 Follow Her into Bed

Hearing her shameless words, Alexander found himself in a dilemma-letting go wasn't an option, but neither was holding on. He simply glared at her intensely, speechless.

Seeing her fiancé resorting to physical force against Rose in order to "protect" her, Daisy felt an indescribable sense of satisfaction.

Even though she had just been splashed with water, she didn't mind at all.

But the moment she saw Alexander's hand gripping Rose's bare, fair-skinned arm, a wave of discomfort surged within her.

"Rose, just ignore her! She's a crazy lunatic who'll say and do anything. Let her leave-don't dirty your hands because of her!"

"That's right, Rose," Catherine chimed in, eager to stir up more trouble.

"I know you can't stand seeing our Daisy being bullied, but there's something you don't know-Uncle Peter's eldest daughter picked up all sorts of bad habits abroad. Smoking, drinking, drugs, sleeping around-she's done it all. Even her own father couldn't control her. For the sake of family harmony, we've put up with her as much as we could."

But Alexander paid no attention to the mother-daughter duo buzzing in his ears.

His cold, piercing gaze remained locked on Rose, his grip still firm on her delicate arm...

Rose was growing impatient.

She initially wanted to forcefully pry his hand off, but when her eyes landed on that familiar, strong, masculine hand, she changed her mind-

Instead, she placed her own hand over his, deliberately stroking it gently, her gaze filled with provocation.

Sure enough, faced with her blatant teasing in public, Alexander quickly became uncomfortable.

His expression darkened, and with a look of disgust, he finally let go!

"Enough! Get the hell out!"

Daisy, who had barely been holding back, completely lost it.

She quickly grabbed Alexander's arm, clinging to him possessively as she declared her dominance,

"If you want to seduce a man, go find someone else! Stop disgusting my fiancé-he's not someone your kind can touch so casually!"

Rose let out a cold laugh.

Thinking back to the countless passionate nights she had shared with this man, and then comparing it to the "devoted couple" act he was putting on now-

What a joke.

The rich really know how to play their games.

Not wanting to waste any more energy on this den of snakes, Rose cast a final, indifferent glance at that man before walking out the door.

Back straight, chin high-refusing to look like a beaten dog as she left.

She climbed into her blue Panamera and slammed the door shut with a loud bang.

With a smooth reverse and sharp turn, she stepped on the gas, speeding away from the villa.

One hand on the steering wheel, she drove aimlessly, her mind replaying the chaos at The Crawford family's house-

Most of all, that man's face refused to leave her thoughts...

By the time she got home, it was already 8 PM.

She lived alone in a modest residential complex, in a 90-square-meter condo.

The place wasn't as spacious or luxurious as The Crawford family's villa, but-

It was hers.

Her only true home in this massive city.

The one place that gave her comfort and security.

As soon as she stepped inside, her smart and imposing German Shepherd ran over to greet her excitedly!

After playing with her dog for a bit, she curled up on the sofa, chatting with a friend abroad for about ten minutes.

Then, feeling a bit hungry, she ordered takeout on her phone.

By the time she had showered and changed into pajamas, the app notified her that her order had arrived-left at her doorstep, as requested.

Thinking nothing of it, she went to open the door.

But the moment she cracked it open-

BAM!

The door was suddenly shoved open from the outside!

A man forced his way inside!

The familiar scent of his cold, sharp presence filled her nose-

Before she could even react, he had already pushed her down onto the sofa!

"Fuck."

She cursed, meeting Alexander's dark, brooding gaze, filled with intensity.

"You followed me all the way to my house-again?! What the hell do you want now?!"
