Chapter 3 Third

Before she opened her eyes, she felt Edward's hand slowly moving from hers.

"I am so so sorry " Edward said

She opened her eyes and saw the die had landed on black. She angrily removed her hands from Edward's hands and left his sight.

" Amelia! Amelia! Please wait"

She had already joined the crowd and he couldn't see her again. He rubbed his hand aggressively on his head saying

"What a fool I am! I should have listened to her "

Amelia wandered off in the center just to get her head cleared up for a while only for her to notice a store with beautiful dresses.

She walked into the store and noticed the sales girl there was attending to some customers.

She admired the gowns she saw there but she knew they were to expensive for her to afford. She noticed a tray with chocolates kept for customers on a table and tried one of them.

Just as she ate one, a man dressed in a Black suit with his colleagues were just standing outside the store noticed her beauty and it caught his attention.

She liked the chocolate and decided to slide some into her purse. She looked around to see if anyone saw her and noticed this man standing outside was staring at her.

He smiled at her and she smiled back. She then continued admiring the dresses and saw a black gown with red petals. She picked up the dress and sized it on her body while facing the mirror. She really loved the dress.

" Why don't you put it on, it suits you" said the man

She looked up at him and said nothing

" My name is Andrew Williams"

She was surprised that the man who owned the poker games was standing right in front of her and was talking to her.

" I can't afford it" she replied

" That's too bad! I really this you ought to have the dress, let me buy it for you."

" You want to buy me this dress?" She asked surprisingly

"Yes"

"Why"

" I really enjoyed watching you, you've earned it".

"No I haven't. The dress is for sale, I'm not.

"I insist!"

" Thank you so much for the offer but that will not be necessary"she said as she left the store.

He smiled and looked at her as she left hoping that one day he will be able to see her again.

Just as she came out of the store she saw Edward sitting opposite her direction. She walked up to him and he stood up and hugged her.

" I am so so sorry about what happened"

" It's fine, we will probably just try our luck next time" she replied

They sat there for a while and watched people play. They found watching people play entertaining and interesting. Just as they were about to leave the center, they noticed people leaving each areas and joing a crowd.

" Should we check it out" asked Amelia

" Let's go then" he replied

They were able to get a spot in front and saw about 5 men all suited and seated up.

"Who is that guy?" Edward asked a random man in the crowd as he noticed people seem to have attention on him. Amelia knew who he was and was starting to feel uncomfortable.

" That's Andrew Williams. He's a damn billionaire. He's down over a million dollars already. You see the little gold things he playing with? $10,000 a piece!"

Edward realized he's the owner of the poker game and got more interested.

"Let's leave this place " Amelia said

"C'mon, let's just stay for a little while then we will leave" he said as he gave her a kiss on her forehead.

Amelia agreed but she tried to make sure she didn't have an eye contact with Andrew.

The game had started and Andrew had lost $100 already.

" Imagine we had that money he just lost, we would be able to have our house done in no time" Edward said

Amelia was about to respond back to him when she received a text message on her phone. Edward noticed she was awkwardly silent and asked her if she was good.

She look up to him sadly and said " I've lost my job!"

Edward was shocked by this statement Amelia said.

" How? Did you do anything wrong??" He asked

"The real estate market had dried up so they had to close down leaving all employees without a job".

Edward saw how upset she was.

" Should we still stay to keep you entertained or you want us to head back home for you to get enough rest?" He asked

" I think it's time we head home"

" Wait!" Andrew said as they were about to leave

They both turned back and Edward asked " Us?"

" Yes, can you lend me your wife?" Andrew asked.
