Chapter 4 Unexpected pregnancy

NATHAN.

"Nathan, it's me". I told him, trying to move closer this time, my wolf urging me to get closer and merge my body with him but Nathan immediately moved backwards and wrinkled his nose at me with disgust.

"Stay back". He snapped and I could feel my heart tightening in pain, as my hands dropped to my sides, clutching my dress tightly as I tried to hold myself.

One brother rejected me and another was doing it now? Who did I offend?

"I said who the fuck are you?" He demanded, raising his tone high, anger obvious through it. The air around suddenly turned suffocating and I found it difficult to breathe..

"Don't you rememb....?" I tried saying when;

"Baby". Someone squeaked, startling both of us ,our attention diverted towards a figure running in the dark, hands spread widely as they jumped on Nathan, clenching him tightly.

My mouth hung open as I watched whosoever that was sniffling him and Nathan actually smiled, before wrapping his hands around a girl.

It was she. A sharp, bitter heat surged in me, through my chest, as Jealousy twisted in my stomach, leaving me breathless.

'Must I always have a villain in my story?'

'Who the hell was she?' My wolf growled possessively in my head, wanting me to move forward and tear the girl's hands off him.

I wish I had an answer to her question though.

"Easy Isabella!" Nathan said, letting out a chuckle that made me release my dress and clench my hands tightly into fists, my nails digging into my palm.

The girl disengaged from the hug and pecked him on both cheeks, earning a snarl from me as I flared my nostrils, distracting them. She turned to look at me, and the smile immediately disappeared from her face.

"Nathan, who is this girl?" She asked, running her eyes all over my body like I was nothing. Nathan didn't even bother to look back at me and just said;

"No one important. Let's go". He told her, took her hand, leading her out of the place, while I stood there, stubbed, my jaw dropping.

'No one important?'. I watched as they both disappeared to God knows where, as my heart felt like a piece of stake was being driven inside.

'How could Nathan say such, could he truly not remember me, didn't he feel the bond and also shouldn't he be dead, what was going on?' I pondered, countless thoughts with no answers running through my mind.

I thought so hard that my head began to ache, so I let a groan, placing my palm on my forehead and glancing around to see nowhere.

Why was things just so horrible for me today? I mean today was actually supposed to be the best day of my life, considering I had found my mate but then I got framed by my brother and ex-bestfriend.

Got banished and turned into a rogue. Roomed the words, saw a little town and decided to make a stop, only to meet my second chance mate, who turned out to be my long, dead lover I was accused of killing today.

"Gosh! What was happening?" I asked myself, as I made my way into the club, going straight to the bartender immediately and ordering their highest shot.

Nathan and I have been friends since childhood, despite the fact that we were miles apart in rank. I was one of the lowly she-wolves in this werewolf world, While he was the brother of the crown prince.

Nathan wasn't exactly loved by people because he was an illegitimate son whom everyone looked down but I didn't care and had a crush on him that blossomed to love and I never got the chance to find out if he felt the same way.

He went missing during pack wars and was rumored dead, a burnt body beyond recognition was even found, his necklace which I identified on it.

I remember being so devastated for days, leaving my dad with no choice than to send me to a faraway college.

When I returned, things were different. My twin became a bully towards me and my best friend, Rita, seemed to be doing everything in her powers to pull me down and well, she succeeded.

I got drunk and somehow began a fling with Andre, then surprisingly he turned out to be my mate.

I looked around and noticed the bright, flashing light illuminating the crowded dance floor, the sweet smell of drinks wafting around the room.

The club carried electric energy, the crowd's excitement noticeable as they all moved their body to one of the top hip-hop songs playing.

I drown my first shot down my throat and the hotness ran through me, burning my insides but I didn't care and just enjoyed it.

Hopefully, it was enough to put me out of my pain. I kept glancing around the club till I saw him at a corner with the girl. I gritted my teeth against another.

"Do you know our future Alpha?" The bartender questioned me with a smile and I stiffened, giving him my attention immediately.

"What did you just say?" I asked him and he chuckled.

"Didn't you know, are you new? Come to think of it, I have never seen you in this town before and it's pretty small". He said but I just ignored him, my mind racing as I kept on taking the drinks, tears started gushing out of my eyes and I sniffled, not caring if I was in public.

Just then, I felt a warm hand placed on my left shoulder and shivered, almost jumping out of my seat.

I turned immediately to yell at whosoever the bastard was, for touching me but then I stopped as our eyes met.

It was familiar and warm like I had seen it before. It sent sparks through me. With his enchanting silver orbs, and beautiful, long black hair I surprisingly felt like running my hands through.

"Nathan". I called out softly, my heart skipping a beat as my stomach tightened in anticipation.

'Did he finally recognize me?'.
