Friday morning she was busy with a customer checking in. This was a special guest who ran a ghost group. They were here a week the first half they had booked to rough it in the old slave cabins. Their main cabin was very nicely kept in period specific things. Right down to the original furniture and kitchen. The only modern thing after some help from Sarah to talk one of their slaves that had been a casually of war. After promising to keep the rest original the other ghost named "Old Jon" agreed. The other cabins were not like the main slave house.
They only had 2 beds and2 bsic antique dressers.
Then they would stay in room 208. This had been the room where Sarah's eldest daughter Lilac and grandson Otis were sleeping when were killed when the union launched a late night attack on the building while it was bring used as a war hospital and as part of the Underground Railroad.
Sarah's spirit hung out on the living side to see her family grow. Sarah had passed a few years after the civil war after finding out her husband had been killed in the Wilderness. She liked watching over the place she called home. And unlike most who rejuvenated homes without thought to ghosts. Well they ran everything past Sarah. Their motto was "Sarah says no then it no go."
Old Joe still wandered the ground hoping to one day find where his wife and kids had been buried in an unmarked pit grave. There were numerous locations it could be. They had done research and had narrowed that down to 2 acres by the main crop field. But they were waiting on other historians to fun an excavation of the site and try making sure they did them right.
The Group all signed the paperwork and knew the rules.
At around noon a van pulled up. The side opened and a man on crutches came out. His
face and neck burned and wrapped. One hand in a cast to the upper arm. She was handed a thick medical file and a bag of medicine. Another vehicle pulled in with boxes and suitcases. She instructed them which room to put the suitcases in. He wouldn't want to charge a bed with her. So she had set up inner most bedroom next to the bathroom and living area. The only window to the room was the one that overlooks the garden which Was vast in size.
"I am Paul's manager Gary. We need this kept hushed up. Not sure who you are but I hope you can get that through your head." Well this man sounded like an asshole.
"Gary as his wife I respect his wish's. All people that stay here sign a non disclosure agreement that puts them i hot water leg
if they breath a word of celebrity clients. He will by in his own private room in my apartment. Your most to check to see if it's up to your standards."
"Fine show us the way." He said in a way that can only be considered prudent.
Having heard the commotion Sarah added her to cents in. Lighting into the guy verbally. Luckily as far as I could tell he wasn't to her level in special skills.
"This should do. What amount of blockagefro camera imagery does this area have?" He said after checking the dust level. He couldn't have found any.
"He doesn't require too much right now. Just a therapist to help him talk again. The rest should progress on its own. By the way what proof do you have to say your man and wife?"
She expected that and handed him a folder.
"Okay. Seems all is in order. Here is my number if you need me. But try not to. He can talk some if forced but prefer him to text. You of course will need to bathe him and help him use the bathroom. Bye." The guy left faster than some regular people do.
"Let's get your stuff settled. You want to lay in here or in the living room?" He just pointed to the living room. She helped guide him there. Made sure he had everything he needed. She had a doorbell hook up so he could ring her if needed. Though Sarah said she would watch him until Lola got home.
The weekend went smoothly. They settled into a routine that worked great. He watched tv and she heard from Sarah he worked on his talking.
