Quinn's eyes narrowed as Andrew walked into the room, his expression still angry. "What do you want?" she spat, trying to keep her temper in check.
"I want to know why you were driving like a maniac," Andrew shot back, his voice rising. "My brother could have died because of your recklessness!"
Quinn felt a surge of guilt, but she tried to defend herself. "I wasn't driving like a maniac Andrew! I was just...tired. And I didn't see the other car."
Andrew snorted. "You didn't see the other car? That's rich, coming from someone who's supposed to be a responsible driver."
Quinn's temper flared, but before she could respond, the nurse intervened. "Okay, that's enough. Ms. Harrington needs her rest. You need to understand that your brother wasn't the only one involved in the accident. She also got hurt. So please take it gently on her, sir."
Andrew glared at Quinn, but he backed off, storming out of the room. The nurse turned to Quinn, a concerned expression on her face.
"Are you okay, Ms. Harrington? That was quite an intense conversation."
Quinn nodded, feeling a bit shaken. "Yeah...I'm fine. Just a bit...guilty, I guess."
The nurse nodded sympathetically. "Don't be too hard on yourself. Accidents happen. But maybe this is a wake-up call for you to take better care of yourself."
Quinn smiled wryly. "Yeah...maybe you're right."
As the nurse strolled out of the room, Quinn couldn't help but think about Andrew's angry words. She knew she had been reckless, and she was grateful that Eric was going to be okay.
But as she looked over at Eric's peaceful face, Quinn felt a pang of regret. She had hurt someone she cared about, and she didn't know how to make it right.
Just then, Eric's eyes flickered open, and he looked over at Quinn. For a moment, they just stared at each other, the tension between them palpable.
"Eric," Quinn whispered, feeling a lump form in her throat. "I'm so sorry. I was so reckless..."
Eric's expression softened, and he reached out a hand to Quinn. "It's okay, Quinn. I know you didn't mean to hurt me. Just...be more careful next time, okay?"
Quinn nodded, feeling a wave of relief wash over her. Maybe, just maybe, she could make things right with Eric. But as she looked over at the door, she knew that Andrew was still out there, waiting for her. And she had a feeling that their confrontation was far from over.
As Quinn and Eric continued to talk, the door to the hospital room burst open and Kyra rushed in, tears streaming down her face.
"Quinn! Oh my god, I'm so sorry! I just heard about the accident," Kyra exclaimed, rushing to Quinn's side.
Quinn smiled weakly and Kyra enveloped her in a tight hug. "I'm so glad you're okay. I was so worried about you."
Eric watched the exchange with a warm smile, happy to see Quinn surrounded by people who cared about her.
Meanwhile, Andrew stood at the entrance of the room, watching the scene unfold. He felt a pang in his chest as he saw how Kyra and Eric were being so sympathetic and caring towards Quinn. It was a feeling he hadn't experienced in a long time, not since his parents had passed away.
Andrew's eyes began to sting as he remembered how his parents used to care for him, how they used to worry about him and make sure he was okay. He felt a lump form in his throat as he realized that he had been missing that kind of care and concern for a long time.
Taking a deep breath, Andrew composed himself and walked into the room. "Quinn, I...I'm sorry for raising my voice at you earlier," he said, his voice sincere.
Quinn looked up at him, surprised by his apology. "It's okay, Andrew. I understand. You were worried about your brother."
Andrew nodded, feeling a sense of gratitude towards Quinn. "Yeah, I was. But that's no excuse for taking it out on you. I'm sorry."
Kyra smiled, happy to see Andrew apologizing. "It's okay, Andrew. We all say things we don't mean when we're upset."
Eric nodded in agreement. "Yeah, and it takes a big person to apologize for their mistakes."
Andrew smiled, feeling a sense of relief wash over him. Maybe, just maybe, he had misjudged Quinn and her friends. Maybe they weren't so bad after all.
Kyra blushed as she walked slowly to the door. "Okay... who wants ice-cream? I stopped by at Wendy's and bought a few. It should be enough for everyone."
"Yo!... it's been long since I had ice cream. Please get it," Eric screamed in excitement.
