Chapter 3 We Meet Again

Quinn's eyes narrowed. "A ladies' man? What does that mean?"

Kyra leaned in closer. "It means he's got a reputation for being a player. He's written about his conquests on his blog."

Quinn's face twisted in disgust. "Ugh, what a pig."

Kyra nodded in agreement. "I know, right? But despite all that, I have to admit, he's pretty charming. I've been reading his blog, and he's actually pretty funny."

Quinn raised an eyebrow. "You're reading his blog? Kyra, focus."

Kyra laughed. "Sorry, sorry. I just can't help it. He's got a way with words."

Quinn shook her head. "I don't care about his words. I care about finding out more about him. See if you can dig up anything else."

Kyra nodded and headed back to her desk to continue her research. Quinn watched her go, her mind still reeling from the events of the previous night.

As she sat back down at her desk, she couldn't shake the feeling that her life was about to get a whole lot more complicated.

Meanwhile, Andrew was sitting at his desk, staring at his computer screen. He was trying to write a new blog post, but his mind kept wandering back to the mysterious woman from the party.

He couldn't believe he had kissed her without even getting her name. What was wrong with him?

As he sat there, trying to focus, his phone buzzed with an incoming text. He looked down to see a message from an unknown number.

"Hey, it's me. The girl from the party."

Andrew's heart skipped a beat as he read the message. It was her. The mysterious woman.

He quickly typed out a response. "Oh hi. I'm... Andrew."

There was a pause before she responded. "You're pretty confident, aren't you?"

Andrew smiled to himself. "I just know what I want. And I want to see you again."

There was another pause before she responded. "I'd like that."

Andrew's heart soared as he read the message. He couldn't believe it. He was actually going to get to see her again.

As he sat there, grinning like a fool, he knew that this was just the beginning of a wild and crazy ride.

Quinn sat at her desk, staring at the text conversation she had with Andrew. She couldn't believe she had actually agreed to see him again. What was she thinking?

But as she read through their conversation, she realized that she had to take control of the situation. She couldn't let some poor, wannabe writer think that he had a chance with her.

She picked up her phone and dialed Kyra's extension. "Kyra, I need you to set up a lunch meeting with... Andrew. Yes, that's his name. Have him come to my office at 12:30."

Kyra's voice was hesitant on the other end of the line. "Uh, Quinn, are you sure that's a good idea? I mean, I know you're trying to take control of the situation, but-"

Quinn cut her off. "Just do it, Kyra. I'll handle it."

At 12:30 sharp, Andrew arrived at Quinn's office. Kyra showed him in, and Quinn stood up from behind her desk, a fierce look in her eyes.

"So, Andrew," she said, her voice dripping with disdain. "I must say, I'm surprised you actually showed up. I didn't think you'd have the guts."

Andrew looked taken aback by her tone, but he tried to stand his ground. "Hey, I'm just happy to be here. I thought we had a connection, Quinn."

Quinn laughed, a cold, mirthless sound. "A connection? You think you're worthy of someone like me? I'm a billionaire, Andrew. I'm a queen. And you're just a poor, struggling writer. You're not even in my league."

Andrew's face fell, and he looked like he had been punched in the gut. Quinn continued, her words cutting deep.

"I don't know what kind of game you're playing, Andrew, but let me make one thing clear: I will never, ever go out with someone like you. You're not up to my standards. You're not even close."

Kyra, who had been standing quietly in the corner of the room, spoke up. "Quinn, maybe that's enough-"

But Quinn cut her off. "No, Kyra, it's not enough. I want to make sure that Andrew understands the situation. So, let me say it again: stay away from me, Andrew. Don't ever text me again. Don't ever try to contact me again. Because if you do, I'll make sure that you regret it."

Andrew looked like he was about to cry, and Quinn felt a surge of satisfaction. She had taken control of the situation, and she had made it clear that she was not to be trifled with.

As Andrew turned and ran out of the office, Quinn turned to Kyra and smiled. "That's how you handle someone like that, Kyra. You have to be fierce, and you have to be in control."

Kyra nodded, looking impressed. "You're a force to be reckoned with, Quinn. I'll make sure to remember that."

Quinn smiled, feeling satisfied. She had taken care of the Andrew problem, and she had asserted her dominance. Now, she could get back to work, knowing that she was in control.
