Chapter 2 Part 1

CHAPTER ONE

OLIVIA'S POV

Mike stood in the hallway, glaring hard at me. His expression was very ugly, and I, on the other hand, was crazily confused.

I do not understand why he threw such a scary look at me. Doesn't he understand that I can't receive any shocks at this stage of my pregnancy? Doctor Claire, also told him about it, so why is he now acting like this?

"Hey Mike, you can't possibly return home from wherever you come from and then start glaring at me like I stole something precious from you." I glared at him as I silently made my way forward.

"Oh! Please stop it. Besides, I should be the one glaring at you with an ugly expression. We both got off work at the same time, but you are arriving home at 11 p.m. How fair is that?" I queried sarcastically, placing my hands on my hips.

Mike eyed me from head to toe before letting out an annoying growl.

"Do you even know how ugly you look? Gosh! It's obvious you don't, or else you won't even have the face to stand in front of me."

He spat hatefully, scanning my entire body as if I were the most disgusting thing on Earth. Damn! That was hateful!

Time seems to have stopped as I comprehended what Mike just said.

"Wait, Mike, are you joking with me?" A screech escaped my lips.

I couldn't hold it in. Maybe it was because of my pregnancy hormones or something, but I hated the fact that he called me 'ugly.'

I mean, what in hell! What does he even mean? I, Olivia, Anderson Jaxon's daughter, Ugly? That's impossible.

Mike sighed, coming forward and placing his hands on my shoulders. "Look here, Livia, you are not my type of lady," he said to my surprise.

I stared at Mike in shock, and my eyes were already wide open. But who knew that wasn't the end? He continued saying whatever he had planned to say.

"Livia, I know you are pregnant, but I can't keep up with the pretense anymore. I can never love you, and neither can I give you the happiness you deserve."

"What do you mean by this rubbish you are saying, Mike? It's already late, and I'm not going to say anything to anyone about your bad habit, so let's just go to bed. You can't possibly mean you are going to divorce me when our wedding is barely six months old,"

I muttered, shoving his hands away, but he just tightened his hold on my shoulders.

"Does it seem like a joke to you? I'm not speaking rubbish here, Olivia," he growled.

"Look, Mike, if you are saying this to piss me off, then you are doing a great job. You've succeeded already. And please, let's go to bed." I mumbled, looking away, but he brought my face to him, facing him, and his expression looked strict and stoic.

"I don't love you, and I never will. I want you to get that straight into your skull, Livia. Where are the boobs and arses? Your body and face aren't even beautiful to my taste. Your shape isn't sexy enough, and your boobs and asses are way too small. I'm not even enjoying our sexual moment right now. How, then, do you expect me to enjoy it when the baby is born?"

Is it when the little boobs of yours have already dried up and fallen into a puddle? Livia, I can't do this anymore, and it's over between us."

Mike spat without any remorse.

My head felt dizzy, and my mind seemed to have formatted. Did Mike just body-shame me? Did he just mock and insult how the Lord had created me? A wave of anger suddenly rushed through me, and, Kpa! I landed a hard slap on his face.

Mike tilted his head to the side and his jaw clenched whilst gripping hard on my shoulders. The corner of his lips now had blood.

I'm probably the first to ever dare to raise my hand to slap him in the face.

Mike Huxley is the only child of the richest businessman in the City.

He inherited all of his father's businesses and had brought all the firms and companies to an unshakable position in the economy of the glorious city.

D'Huxley-Mike's company

Mike turned his head at me, and his face held no expression. He then dragged me through the flight of stairs until we arrived at the living room on the second floor.

On the table in the center of the room lie divorce papers. His name was already signed on both documents, and the only thing that was left to nullify our wedding vows were my signatures.

"Sign it and put an end to this arranged marriage of ours before it becomes more toxic," he commanded. His tone barely had a sense of warmth.

"Why are you doing this after going through the marriage rites and rituals? You had your chance to say no from the start, whereas I did not have any chance, but you didn't. Why are you making things difficult for me?" I asked on the verge of breaking down into tears.

I never loved Mike. I hated him. I hated the fact that I was betrothed to him. Dad just called me one day and then told me my wedding was in three days.

And I freaked out about getting married to my arrogant, rude, and psycho boss at work.

He told me our wedding was fixed when I was five years old. You can always guess the kind of tantrums I threw, but I wasn't going to escape getting married to my bitchy jerk of a boss, Mike Huxley.

But with time, I began to understand him, and now he is telling me to end our marriage that just began.

"I don't have a bit of affection for you," he responded arrogantly.

"And the baby... it is the biggest mistake. Take it or leave it, Olivia, you are the ugliest woman who spent the longest time with me. I hate to say this, but here, you can never be my type of woman,"

Mike concluded with a haughty snarl.

"SIGN IT"

He left the living room after forcefully stuffing a pen in my hand and went upstairs.

The moment he returned, he was wheeling and carrying my luggage.

"Why have you not signed it yet? Fvcking sign this and get the hell out of my house," he growled, looking furious.
