Chapter 7 Darkened Blue

Devin's Point Of View

"Sir?" I heard someone's voice in my room calling out to me.

"Sir!" Again. Oh, Jordan!

"Sir?!" For the third time. Then there was a knock on the bathroom door. What the heck?

"What do you want?" I yelled for him to hear me.

"The meeting, sir!" He responded.

"Which is more important? My health or the meeting?" I asked him.

"Sir? I think both but in this very moment, the meeting sir," I heard him say.

"What?" I yelled before slamming the door into his face.

"Ouch!" He cried out.

"Are you crazy or what?" I asked him.

"Cancel the meeting and reschedule it for some other day so that I won't be unfortunate," I ordered before proceeding to my bed. I lay fully on my chest when I remembered something.

"On your way out, call me Fredric !" I commanded him.

"But sir..." he struggled with his throat, "I... I... a... am... s... so... s... sorr... so... soor... sorry... si... r..." he struggled, he looked pale just from having his neck tightened from my mind. I released him and he wasn't told before he jolted out of my room.

I took myself back to the night before and tried to see if I had eaten anything unusual apart from the drink the girl in dark blue outfit gave me. The drink wasn't bad or spiteful, neither was it funny or hot but it was very cold. What could she have mixed up for me?

"Wyatt! I need you up here, immediately!" I yelled into the intercom.

"I will so kill this brat when I laid my hands on her!" I screamed for the umpteenth time. I angrily threw a vase against the door and going for the second time, my phone interrupted me.

I picked it up with a groan and looked at the displayed number, it wasn't saved on my phone and couldn't be identified by the tracker app on my phone, so I decided to ignore it. After a few minutes, the call came in again. I cut it off, and almost immediately it came back again.

"What the hell?" I yelled into my phone.

"What's the meaning of what Mr Rogers just told us?" The voice demanded with a hoarse voice.

"What did 'Mr Rogers' tell you, for you to call me unpermitted?" I demanded harshly.

"Mr. Van Doren Devin, you personally told him to cancel the meeting, why?" He demanded again with some unauthorized authority.

"Who the heck is on my line?" I questioned angrily as my stomach tightened again.

"Oh, Marcus of Okhmhaka Colony," he answered humbly.

"Oh! You! So why the heck are you using a private link? Why can't your ID be tracked on my phone? What are you hiding?" I demanded.

"Oh! Shit!" And there was a hang-up.

"Hmm, suspicious!" I uttered before turning to the door, some idiot had been knocking since I was on the call.

"Some people just don't use their brain when they are supposed to," I said before opening the door.

"Ouch!" He cried out, crumbling to his knee.

"Do I have to always tell you what to do? You have a brain, don't you?" I asked as he nodded his head slowly.

"I'm... so... sor... ry... sor... ry," he pleaded, wincing in pain.

"Okay, get up!" I said as I cut the pain stimulus running through him.

"Always use your brain, be a good boy!" I said before patting him on the shoulder. He was shivering from the effect of the pain stimulus.

"Come in!" I welcomed him in.

"Sir?" He called after he had calmed.

"I need you to get information on Marcus of Okhmhaka Colony and a waitress from Drink n Drink bar. She is tall but shorter than you and she was completely in a dark blue outfit, from hair to somewhere," I instructed him.

"Sir! Drink n Drink bar is a human-related business," he informed me.

"I know but I don't care if she is human or not, just get information on her. That's what I am after, the information," I told him.

"Okay sir, I will get back to you," he said before leaving the room.

"Better!" I replied to him in the toilet.

**************

"Fredric! You this rotten scallywag! You are needed now!" I screamed into the intercom. Didn't Jordan deliver my message to him? I think he needs to know who he was dealing with for better behavior in future.

"Sir?" He jolted into the room without asking for permission and I didn't hesitate to shoot him the pain stimulus and just his reaction satisfied me massively.

"Ahhh! Haaa! Ouch! My head...!" He screamed at the top of his voice.

I intensified the pain and within minutes he was on the floor, lying flat on his chest, wincing in pain.

"Mother! Mother!" He screamed. Mother? I couldn't help but burst out laughing which stopped the pain stimulus.

"Mother? What can she do for you in this situation?" I asked as I continued laughing. "Mother!" I whispered, mimicking him.

"Go get me my soup!" I yelled harshly, hurting my throat the more. He scrambled as he made his way out of the room, shivering.

"Next time, you don't joke with my instructions!" I said to the closed door.

I dialed a familiar number on my phone and put it through, it rang to the end when the person on the other end didn't accept it, I called the second time and the same thing occurred. I dropped my phone and moved to my closet to change into something more comfy than my nightwear.

The vibration of my phone caught my attention and on getting to it, he had returned my call but he hung up when I was about to pick it up.

"Shit! What the heck is wrong with him?" I cussed, looking at my phone.

Fortunately, he called back when the phone was still in my hand but it took a while before I answered it.

"What the heck?" He screamed into the phone, I had to take it away from my ear.

"Why won't you pick up after calling me a while ago?" He asked.

"If you aim to deafen me then that's impossible," I said to him.

"That doesn't answer my questions?" He replied.

"I need you to come check up on me!"
