Chapter 4 HIS DAUGHTERS PLEA

They all hid, frozen in a spot, Desmond could not take it any longer, he charged forward, forcing Danielle to reveal himself, while Maria sneaked in the building trying to find his daughter.

"Are you looking for something dear?!.". Her fathers voices startled her.

"I knew you would not be able to stay away from me for a long time, no matter how much you love that bastard." He stood too close to her, and although he was her father, she knew how shameless he could be. She stepped backwards.

"Where is she?."

Her father spinned round.

"Who are you referring to?, there's no one here!."

Maria, brought a gun out of her bag, "I will end your reign, if you don't tell me where she is."

Gabrielle froze, he was cautious but bold. "Get that petty toy away from me, I have used that to kill so many people, I gave it to you as a gift, I gave it to you as a shield, and now you dare point the same gift at me?, you should be ashamed, sometimes i think I am not your father!."

Maria refused to get emotional,

"I asked you a question, where is she?."

Gabrielle remained silent, Maria had no choice but to pull the trigger, the bullet pierced his dark skin, causing him to fall to the ground, he held his arm and looked at her with a piercing gaze.

"Why do you love him?, what has he done for you?, I have told you that our families have being enemies for generations, I made a promise to my father on his death bed, that neither i nor any of my children will have anything in common with those irritable people."

"Enough father!, I don't care about all that, since you do not want to tell me where she is I will go and find her myself."

Maria went forward, watching her back every step of the way.

She heard a girl screaming, and followed the sound of her voice, but saw something unexpected. A pregnant woman was in labour, and about to give birth, but she was neglected with no one to support her. Maria ran to her, and stayed with her till her baby was born, the woman handed over her baby to Maria.

"Take care of him.!". The lady said speaking in whispers.

"Oh she's dead." Maria looked at the baby in her hand, and wondered how she was to take care of the child and the task at hand, she placed the child close to his mother, kissed his forehead and said. "I will be back."

Danielle and Desmond rounded up the thugs, tying them up, they went in to search for the ladies.

"Ah, just in time for the feast."

Gabrielle said, filing his knife with another.

"Where's my daughter?."

Gabrielle looked at the ceiling and smiled.

When Desmond looked up, he saw his daughter hanged, he was too late.

"It's too bad!, I did not want to do this, but you made me do this, you thought you were safe under this weakling, if only you just remained the dog you were, perhaps your daughter would still be alive.". Desmond stared at Danielle, he held his head his palm and screamed, his voice echoing through the walls.

Desmond lifted up his head, his eyes locked on Gabrielle, he charged at him, strangling his throat, just then Maria found them, and hugged Danielle. "I'm sorry, I got lost, the tower is so big, where is she.". Maria screamed when she saw Desmonds daughter, already dead, she looked at her father.

"How could you do this to a 17 yearold child, I am disappointed in you."

Danielle quickly called the police,and Gabrielle was arrested.

Desmond held his daughters body, and cried with a loud voice.

Maria went back to fetch the baby, she found a letter in the babies clothing.

"I am your father's hidden mistress, he desperately wanted an heir, he thought of you as a disappointment, train him well."

Maria's eyes were filled with tears, as she looked at her baby brother.

Desmond could not go home, his daughters spirit might hunt him for being a terrible father, he went to the bar and drank till he could barely walk.

Danielle went back home depressed he had made a promise to Desmond, but he could not fulfill it.

His eyes caught Maria's mother's diary on his shelf, he hastened, he picked it and his it in suit, he would never let Maria find out the truth behind her mother's death.

"Why are you standing like a thief, come on, let's go upstairs we need some rest."

The next morning, Maria went into the kitchen, for the first time, she wanted to surprise her love, by giving him breakfast in bed.

Danielle woke up, and could not breathe properly.

"So much smoke!."

He ran to the kitchen, and threw the burning pan into the pool.

"Why would you even do that?." Danielle yelled at Maria.

She felt too embarrassed, she could not even look into his eyes.

"I wanted to prepare breakfast."

Danielle laughed.

"It's fine, the chefs will do it, come on lets wipe your face you look burnt."

In prison Gabrielle's men tortured him with numerous questions.

"Boss, I have always wanted to know the reason your hatred for Danielle, is it just business or something else."

Gabrielles POV

"Danielle's father, took something valuable from my father, and now Danielle has taken two valuable things from me.

I don't know how he trapped by daughter, but I will make sure his love for her ruins them both." The officers came to unlock Gabrielle's cell.

"You have a visitor!."

Gabrielle pushed his visitor away,

"You traitor, I trusted you with my daughters safety.

You were supposed to be her guard."

Maria's guards head was low, his eyes dare not look up to he's.

Maria looked at the baby in the cradle, she was going to be not just a big sister, but a mother as well.

"I have an escape plan, of you do as I tell you, y'all would be put of here in no time."

Gabrielle nodded.
