Chapter 4 Ice cream

After ordering our ice cream we sat at a table not so far from the counter to wait for our ice cream to be served, while Sebastian and Michelle talked about random school things and animals as I watched them carefully. Mickey had woken up for a while now and I had fed him the minute he woke up so he was calmly staring around with his pacifier in his mouth. Soon our ice cream came and funny how Michelle and Sebastian love the same flavor.

I ordered plain coffee flavor while they both wanted bubblegum and cotton candy flavor together, I was happy to see Sebastian grinning happily and kicking his feet. He's such a cute and lovely child, we were eating our delight in peace when some one taps my shoulder lightly, I looked up to see who it was I one raised brow. "Dad." Sebastian calls out smiling, "Oh good day." I greeted with a small smile as well. He's quite a charmer, look like a model who just stepped out of a magazine, plus he looks oddly familiar but I can't figure out where I might have seen him. "Sebastian, I see you go a head start. I'm sorry I came late." He apologizes to his son, I unconsciously smile at that. I scoot in to create

room for him to sit before gesturing for him to seat next me. I could hear gasps from the workers and men in suits as he sits next to me.

"What ice cream would you like?" I asked, he looks at me with an expression I couldn't quite

understand before speaking. "I'm not much of an ice cream fan." I took note that Sebastian's expression fell at his father's reply. "No sweet tooth eey." I say smirking, taking a scoop out of my ice cream and turned to him, "So why were you late?" I suddenly asked, he looked taken aback this time, "Well I ...." The second he opened his mouth to answer me I quickly shoved the spoon of ice cream I scooped in his mouth. He's eyes grew wide and I noticed the guards rushing towards us. "Alp...." He raises his hand to stop them and sends them back to their positions

He swallow before turning back to me. "Are there such flavors?" Seb's dad asks with curiosity

written on his face, I nodded smiling. "Dad , did you like it?" Sebastian asks, you could tell he desperately wanted a positive feed back from his dad. He smiles at his son nodding in approval. "I actually do son." He adds, "Yay so I don't have to eat ice cream alone when we come again." Sebastian happily tells Michelle, she hugs him telling him she's happy for him too. Michey has always been a hugger so it wasn't a new thing to me and I guess it wasn't for Sebastian as well. "Can I have that?" Sebastian's dad voice draws my attention again. He actually has a very sexy but soothing voice, its almost like his voice demands to be heard. I gave a simple nod before sliding the blow of ice cream to him. I looked around to see shock on all the faces of the workers and the guards. And by the way why are we the only customers in here? May be it's a slow day? I watched as Michey and Seb played as they enjoyed their ice cream while Seb's dad still seems to in shock that the ice cream tasted great, but he enjoyed it. I put my attention back on Mickey as he pulled my hoodie strap, you know I genuinely see my life being more meaningful this time.

We were now outside at the parking lot, Michelle was already in the car and Sebastian was with his father guards in their car as well. "Umm...ehh sorry about shoving ice cream in you mouth." I apologized, "No, it's fine I really enjoyed it." He stated plainly, I nodded then gave a small smile. Standing next to him he seems really tall. He is towering over my five feet eleven inches , he also has a nice build. A man like him could easily make any one feel inferior. "Alright then good bye." I say about to turn toward my car, "Hold on." His smooth deep voice stops me from taking step. Wow could another man's voice really do that to me? I raised my brow with questioning look on my face. "I want to thank you for being with Sebastian and for paying for the ice cream we had." He says, I could tell he was grateful even though his face didn't show any expression.

"It's okay, as you can see I've got two cuties so I completely understand kids. I always want

to see them happy." I replied honestly , looked pleased with my reply so he extended his hand for a hand shake. I shook him firmly and smiled before retracting my hand. "What are your kids names?" Seb's dad asks look down at Mickey with a smile. Finally an expression on his face I can understand, "This little guy here is Michael, Mickey for short. And the princess in the car is Michelle, Sebastian's classmate." I tell him pointing to the car, "Great names." He compliments , he stares at my face a little longer than I expected. Clearing my voice I thank him and tell him it was nice meeting and that I really have to get going . He gives a curt nod before bidding me good bye. Wasting no time I quickly

strap in Mickey to his car seat, shut the door and got in the driver's before driving out of the ice cream shop and headed to my mom's house.

"Mom!" I called out the second I and the kids stepped in. "Oh my babies." My mom comes out rushing to hug her grand kids, ignoring me who wanted her hug too. "What about me mom?" I asked pouting, but all I got was a very dry 'hello son' before going back to showering Michelle and Michael with kisses, love and adoration. "Wow, I

need your affection too you know, I'm wifeless and I'm also your only child." I whine like a six year old to my mom. She snorts and helps the some of our stuffs and hands it to her help and her friend Mary before signing to Mary to help take the things up. Our beloved Mary can't hear so mom and I learnt sign language. Mom turns back to me and slaps my arm, " You're a grown as man!" She yells before taking the kids up leaving me alone in the living room.
