Chapter 4 Axel

AXEL'S POV

I was leaving ERINS when i heard someone calling my name. I turned around and it was Aurora, the girl that has refused to stay out of my head ever since i met her.

She is more beautiful than the last time i saw her, her height of around 5'4 made her more cute and precious. I wanna have her in my arms and never let go.

The last thing I expected her to do was apologize but that's exactly what she did. I can't get mad at her now, can I?

I don't know her yet, still I so protective of her. I never felt this way towards anybody other than my parents and brothers. To the world i am a cold business man but to my family I am the opposite.

I don't ever want Aurora to see me like the world does.

I finally got her number and she promised to keep in touch.

"Sir where to?" Mike my driver asked.

"Rose's Bakery"

"Okay Sir"

Rose's Bakery belongs to my mother. She has been running it for years and it's quiet popular.

I have so much work lately, i barely have time to call or go see her.

"We are here sir"

I went directly to her office. I knocked and went in.

"Hey mom"

"Hi baby!! How are you? How are you?" She screamed excitedly pulling me in for a hug.

"I'm perfectly fine mom, and you look as beautiful as ever if not more"

"Oh stop. By the way where are you coming from" she blushed hitting my chest playfully.

"I just got out of a meeting....... "she cut me off.

" Oh poor thing you must be hungry, let's get u fed" she said tapping my cheek.

"My goodness you must be so hungry and tired" she mumbled while getting her things.

We went to a restaurant not too far from Rose's bakery. It's my mom's favorite restaurant.

"I want you to move back in with us, come stay at home for 2 weeks"

"Why?"

"You look so stressed out, there's nobody there to take care of you or feed you good food"

"I'm not a child mom and i have a chef "

"Yeah but are my child, my baby..... Look I am worried about my son, I want to make sure you're ok and you're not over working yourself. Please do this for your mom? "

I can never say No to my mom and I have never said No to her.

"Okay i will"

"Thank you" she smiled.

"So I met someone......"

"Yes!!! Yes!!! Yes!!!" She interrupted me for the second time in the past one hour.

"No no it's not like that, can you just calm down?"

"Oh, so what is it?" She asked all serious, like she wasn't screaming few seconds ago.

"I was gonna say i met someone that looks so much like you"

"Really?"

"Yeah, i was shocked when i first saw her"

"That's cool but you know everyone has someone that look like them, but I don't think it would be that much of a resemblance" she shrugged.

"Mom this isn't just a mare resemblance, she looks like your younger version"

"Okay, but definitely not as good looking as your mama" she flipped her hair playfully.

"I see where all this is coming from, you're jealous of someone you're yet to meet" i chuckled.

"I will get to meet her?"

"Of course"

"That's lovely, she must be pretty then" she wiggled her brows playfully.

"She sure is but guess what, my mom is the most beautiful woman to ever walk this earth" i said which made her blush profusely.

AURORA'S POV

"Hey sweetheart" Maria said to me. Maria is the Personal assistant to Mr Corbin, ERINS CEO. She is a beautiful and kind lady and her prodding pregnant belly made her more cute.

"Hi Maria, how are you both doing today?" I diverted my focus from the monitor before me to Maria.

"Oh dear we are perfectly fine" she smiled widely placing her hand on her stomach.

"Mr Corbin wants to see you in his office, right away"

"Oh God! Am I in trouble?" I asked her.

"You're a sweetheart, how can you get into trouble?" She joked.

I went to the CEO's office after speaking to Maria.

"Come in" the voice said when I knocked.

"Good day sir" I said to the CEO then I realized that William was also in the office.

"Hello Miss Carter, have a sit"

"Thank you Sir"

"You look nervous dear, you shouldn't be. I called you here because I went through your records and so far you are doing really good with your training."

I let out the breath I never knew I was holding. He continued.

"I'm really impressed, I saw the program you designed and I must say it doesn't look like something an intern would do but like I said I'm impressed. I'm not saying this as your parents friend but as your boss. Keep it up"

"Thank you Sir"

"You are a fast learner and you are doing a great job Aurora"

"Thank you" i smiled

"I'm proud of you and am sure your parents are too"

"Thank you Mr Corbin this really means a lot to me" by now I waa pretty much beaming with all the compliments.

After the conversation in the CEO's office i went back to finishing up my work for the next one hour. I was leaving the company building when someone called out my name.

"Aurora"

"Hey Sarah"

"I'm really sorry for this. You see my Uber bailed on me last minute, can i get a ride please?

"None of that Sarah, you can get a ride anytime you want, yeah? Now let's go"

The trip to Sarah's apartment wasn't lonely or quiet as it usually was whenever I'm driving alone, and I have to admit it was fun. We talked about anything and everything.

On getting to my home, my whole family was present, giving me tight hugs and congratulatry speeches. It turned out that Mr Corbin called my parents to inform them about my progress in the company.

I actually felt proud of myself, I slept with a smile on my face.
