Chapter 2 IT

AURORA'S POV

It is my first day at work today. Mom woke me up so I won't get to work late on my first day.

"Rora are you not going to work today? Or do you wanna be late?" mom said loudly from outside the door.

"oh shoot, I almost forget! I'm awake already" I said running to the bathroom.

"hurry up and come down for breakfast, you're not leaving with an empty stomach" I hear her say through the bedroom.

"yes mom"

After breakfast I drove to the company. My interview was successful and I was asked to start immediately. I was happy .

"come on I will introduce you to the person that will supervise you the manager said I followed him to another office, he opened the door to the office without knocking.

"miss Lewis this is Williams, he will be in charge of your training."

"hi there "William grinned childishly. He is cute.

"hi" I gave a small wave.

"I will leave you to it" the manger left the office.

"you're welcome to the ERINS, Ms Lewis" am I the only one who thinks the name of the company is weird?

"thank you, please call me aurora"

"if only you agree to call me will" he smiled

"deal" I smiled back.

Later, after work, the manager called for everyone's attention and introduced me as a new staff that will be working with them for six months, for internship. Then I drove back home.

I was getting ready for bed when I got a call on skype from Noah.

"hey big bro."

" hey Ro, how are doing? You are looking exhausted"

"well that's because I am" I said trying to stifle a yawn.

"how was your first day at work?"

"it was okay, the people there are so accommodating and friendly. It was fun" I yawned again

"that's nice, I am glad you like your new job. Well you should go sleep, you look like you will pass out anything soon" Noah chuckled.

"yeah yeah, talk to you later. Goodnight bro"

"good night Ro"

I slept off the moment I ended the call

Anna is back from Paris and is planning her for her birthday. Her birthday is in a month but almost all preparations have been made.

Since I have known Anna, she has never missed her birthday. It was always a big party.

On Saturday she texted to remind me of our shopping plans, I have to help her pick out a dress for her birthday. Getting to her house, I called out her name but she didn't reply.

"are you sure she is home?" I ask her mom who opened the door for me.

"yeah she is........."

""I'm right here, geez chill" Anna came out of the kitchen with a bowl of cereal. I rolled my eyes at her.

"let's go?"I ask her

"yeah, bye momma"

"bye Gabby" I said to her mom.

"Anna all these dresses are beautiful just pick one lets go already, I'm tired" I pouted.

We have been to so many boutiques in the past few hours. When we arrived at this particular boutique that we're in right now, about 20 gowns were brought out for her, she checked almost all of them without but still didn't choose any.

That's the thing about Anna, she finds it difficult to make a choice when it comes to dresses. This is why she hates shopping alone.

"please Rora, I brought you here to help me pick a gown for my birthday, not to sit there looking like someone in pain''

''I'm actually in pain'' I said dramatically and she rolled her eyes

''please help me'' she pouted putting her hands together in a praying motion.

''okay okay, let's get this over with'' I said standing up from the couch.

I help her chose a beautiful silver gown that has a high slit on the left side and a pair of shoe to match with the gown.

''I'm hungry!! There's a restaurant close by'' Anna said.

''okay lets go grab lunch''

After dropping the bags in Anna's car we took 7 minutes walk to a restaurant where we had lunch.

On our way back to the boutique, a car suddenly slowed down beside us, but we kept walking.

''hello'' a deep voice comes from the car.

''Hi'' replied Anna.

''Anna nice to meet you, why is your friend standing all the way there? come on I will give you a ride"

''thanks but our car is on the next street, we will just walk there''

''come on, I will save you minutes of walk under this hot sun. I promise I mean no harm.'' He tried to convince Anna. Honestly I feel like walking away from these two right now.

''Okay, let me go get her'' Anna said to him. What the hell is she talking about? I'm not following as stranger.

Anna tried convincing me to accept the man's request but I refused. I can't just trust someone I don't know like that. I mean it is dangerous .

I think he noticed that I wasn't going to budge because the next thing I know, the man is getting down from his car walking towards us.

He is so handsome and attractive too, I have to give him that. He had a very calm and alluring voice, I couldn't help but accept his request.

By the time I walked to the car Anna was already sitting there like she was buddy with Mr stranger. I opened the back sit door but Anna laid flat on the seat and asked me to go to the front. Axel chuckled and opened the door to the passenger sit for me. I had no choice but to sit there.

''I'm Axel'' he said to me

''what about you?'' he said again when I ignored him.

''look here sir, you only offered to give us a ride, you never said anything about getting my life history in return.''

''telling me your name won't hurt you, by the way I might see you some day and would like to call you by your name'' he shrugged still driving.

''my name is aurora, please don't talk to me again'' I faced the window looking outside.

''Rora, stop that!'' Anna rebukes my actions.

''what'' I say angrily to her

''I'm so sorry axel, she isn't always like this'' Anna apologized.

''It's okay'' he smiled

''I'm sorry, it was never my intention to intrude or make you uncomfortable. I got attracted to your smile, I saw you smiling while walking down that street with your friend. I would really love to know you more......''

''this is our stop'' I cut him off.

''okay, but please can I get your number?''

''no you can't'' I got off his car angrily.

''here is an invitation to my birthday party, I hope you make it.......'' I heard Anna say as I walked away from them, to Anna's car.

What was Anna thinking? This is a total stranger, by the way she has a boyfriend.
