Chapter 2 Flood Of Emotions

Derek who had been watching the whole time chuckled and moved to his private elevator that was around there. He couldn't believe a girl like that existed. All the women he came across always acted coy and played modest, trying to look innocent just to get his attention, which made him puke at the sight of them.

But this lady was different. Her appearance alone was weird and the vibe and action she came with wasn't so ladylike but then he found her amusing. It made him think how lucky he would be if he had someone like her working for him.

"Gaurds, make sure she is dealt with. She barged in here and assaulted my boyfriend."

"What? I can't believe my night sucks because of undeserving people like you." Scarlett snapped and without taking a peep she grabbed her phone and the purse she came in with.

She took steps backward trying to avoid the men that came in. She had to come up with a means of escape so things won't turn dirty with these people. It just wasn't worth it. She had no feelings for the guy to begin with, neither did she see him in a romantic way. Suffering because of him just wasn't appealing.

She had always had this strong resolution that men will always be men, they never change, instead they evolve into the worst version of themselves as they age and she had never been proven wrong. All her relationships never had a happy ending, most times it made her think if she was that difficult to love or it was just her luck. What could she have done in her past life for her and love to be miles apart.

But that wasn't the pressing issue. The sticky situation she was in right now was definitely her biggest concern. She slyly got a read around the room, searching for a means of escape.

"Undeserving people? If I were you I'd be worried about myself right now." The lady proudly stated, interrupting Scarlett's thought. "You just might not make it out here unshattered." She added.

Scarlett cleared her throat. "Why? Are you going to ask them to hit me?" Scarlett asked while keeping watch of the elevator from the side of her eye.

"Of course, what did you think I meant by dealt." The lady chuckled. "I need to teach you a lesson. Have a safe trip in hell. Guards!" She ordered and the two bodyguards instantly rushed at Scarlett to make sure she didn't escape, but she smartly averted their extreme attempt to grab her, causing them to collide and fall on their boss.

Then, in a haste, she hurried out and pulled a waiter, who was passing by, causing the tray of glasses of wine he had in hand to fall, spill and shatter. She used him as a shield against the guards who were still trying to come after her. Just then, her eyes caught sight of the elevator door that had just opened and Derek, who was being entertained from the Scarlett show, got in.

She saw this and quickly pushed the waiter at the guards and tossed her foot slippers in a flash into the narrowing gap of the closing doors and they halted. Her shoe wedged firmly between the doors, holding them ajar. Derek, who was looking at his phone, looked up and chuckled at the absurdity. Then as the door of the elevator slowly opened, he was shocked to see the crazy girl in front of him. His eyes widened but not from shock. The boldness and the audacity she had to even think of getting on the same elevator with him.

Before he could even grasp the situation, Scarlett, who was in a hurry jumped into the elevator but crashed into him, causing both of them to fall on the ground. The elevator door closed leaving Scarlett and Derek together inside.

The look on Derek's face was enough to know the level of disbelief he was feeling about what just happened. The frantic girl who had got herself entangled in a mess that he was watching a while ago was now in front of him, and not just in front of him, she was laying on top of his body.

Derek's heart start pounding heavily in his chest. He has never found himself in such an awkward situation before. His body suddenly started getting heated and he thought it was his phobia attack kicking in, but he was wrong. His breathing was still normal.

Just then Scarlett raised her head up, her slightly damp hair laid on Derek's chest which was slightly covered and their eyes locked. Scarlett kept staring, her eyes totally glued to him. Next, she trailed her gaze to his lips which looked so soft, and were parted as if they were asking her for a kiss.

What the hell is wrong with her? A while ago she had just confirmed her resolution that men are not to be trusted, but in just a few seconds she's getting bewitched by another.

Derek, who was dumbfounded by what was happening, kept staring at Scarlett.

Her slightly damp hair which laid on his chest could have made him feel cold but instead his body temperature kept getting heated.

He could feel Scarlett nipples harden as she laid on his body which made his dick harden. She was wearing pajamas that made her body vulnerable. Anyone she came in contact with would easily see or feel her boobs, slim waist and feel her silky skin.

How could a lady this delicate and sexy be so careless to bounce into a club wearing only pajamas and pick a fight with a lot of people. If he had not witnessed it himself he would have doubted it if someone told him about it. She looked so fragile but behind that fragile look there was definitely a crazy being beneath.

Derek couldn't grasp what he was feeling at the moment, he could see himself turning her over, taking off her pajamas and having her there on the spot.

"Fuck!" Derek cursed himself silently for having such lustfully thought.

"What's happening, I'm still okay." He tried moving his fingers to see if they had stiffened, which was one of the symptoms he had when a lady touched him. It was a shock to him that he was perfectly fine. He slowly moved his hand which was resting on Scarlett's waist.

"I can move my hands," mused Derek.

He leisurely moved his hand to her face and gingerly caressed Scarlett's face while staring at her lustfully.

"Why do I still feel normal even after being in such a state with this lady? I don't feel any anxiety or panic attack. My breathing and everything is normal. I have never felt this relaxed close to a lady, for as long as I can remember." He wondered in his mind.

"Who Are You?" He asked out loud as he stared deeply into her eyes.
