Chapter 3 Episode 3 The woods

The Woods.

A sudden sound behind her made her quickly turn around, but she saw nothing. Then she started sensing sudden movements all around her, the rustling of leaves and branches, causing panic to rise within her.

She looked around, hoping to catch a glimpse of whatever was moving around her. Despite the moonlight not illuminating everything enough for her to see, she wasn't bothered about that.

As a werewolf, she could see very well in the dark. The problem was the source of the sudden movements.

As she gazed around, she couldn't sense the movements anymore, and she breathed out a sigh of relief.

Then continued her journey, taking a few steps forward when she sensed another movement from behind. As she turned to look back, an unknown werewolf leaped out from the woods and knocked her down with a single hit to her head. She landed on the ground unconscious and did not stir.

"Arruuuuuh!" the werewolf roared loudly as he approached Gabriella, gazing at her. Suddenly, another werewolf, seemingly the same as the first, leaped out from nowhere and engaged in a fight with the initial one.

Both werewolves had dark fur and glowing blue eyes with sharp fangs in their mouths. Looking at these two werewolves, no one could quite tell the difference; they were clearly alphas of their own pack. The reason for their fight was known only to them.

As they battled fiercely, one of them finally knocked the other with a final fang attack to its neck, leaving him dead on the ground. The remaining werewolf was bleeding badly, as he had been injured in the neck. Despite this, he approached Gabriella, gazing at her for a while.

After gazing at her for a minute he turned leaving her behind but hesitated and returned then lifted her into his arms and took her away.

Dark Moon Pack.

"I don't understand, what's still keeping Caleb? Doesn't he know that he is wasting my time? He should come and make this known to public already! I have been waiting for this day my whole life!" Immaculate said to Maxwell as they stood alone, discussing at the veranda of the house.

"I have spoken to him, but with the way he sounded, I don't think he will still choose you. He just doesn't like you," Maxwell responded to Immaculate.

"You're joking, right? He won't choose me, and then who will he choose? Gabriella is gone! He obviously has no other choice. I am the person he must choose," Immaculate said, feeling entitled as she tapped herself on the chest.

"About that he doesn't like me...? I don't care if he likes me or not. he obviously have no choice. The Luna is on my side, his brothers are still on my side. Do you think he is ever going to have another choice even after losing Gabriella...?" Immaculate asked.

"Of course not," she answered herself as Maxwell took time to respond.

"Without me he is incomplete" Immaculate added.

"Seems like you are so eager to leave me behind for your alpha," Maxwell said.

"What are you talking about? We are all still in the same pack and almost in the same room. I ain't leaving you for anything," Immaculate said.

"Alright then, I believe you should go be with the rest now. Caleb will soon be there. I have spoken to him, and he will be coming to mark his mate soon. Don't be found missing, so hurry up!" Maxwell said as Immaculate nodded her head happily and ran inside. Maxwell gazed at her, smiled a bit, and then waved his head as he joined her inside.

As Immaculate was running inside, she almost ran into the Luna.

"Immaculate, you should know that you shouldn't be far away now! Caleb could come in at any time, and then we'll start looking for you! Do you want to ruin this opportunity we have used almost our whole life plotting?" The Luna said to her immediately after they met.

"I'm sorry, I was only having some words with my brother, but I am ready now. Can we go already?" Immaculate said happily, wanting to hurry away to join the others at the hall, but the Luna stopped her.

"Wait! You still have much to do. This is your night, and you need to look very good for your alpha," she said, stopping Immaculate as she turned back.

"Really? But what am I supposed to do? Am I not looking good like this?" Immaculate said, excitedly turning around and widening her hands.

"No, you need a new dress, and of course, you need to look nice! Your hair is not well arranged," the Luna said, while Immaculate breathed out in a sigh of relief.

"Alright then! Whatever we are doing, we should be fast about it. The omegas and the rest of the pack members are waiting for us out there, and Caleb will soon step into the hall. We need to hurry!" Immaculate said.

"You should hurry up to Alyssa's room already! She has everything arranged, waiting for you!" The Luna said to her as she excitedly hugged her. Alyssa is Caleb's sister, the last born of the Luna, and she also supported Immaculate to become Caleb's mate because Immaculate is her friend.

"Thank you very much! I love you more than I will ever love another!" Immaculate said.

"I should be with Alyssa then," she added and quickly headed to Alyssa's room. The Luna smiled briefly and joined the rest at the hall, where they waited for both Immaculate and Caleb.

As the full moon celebration was still going on, everyone was enjoying themselves. However, they didn't invite any other outside pack members to join them this time around, apart from the few Alphas who were invited to witness the mate bond of Caleb and his Luna being sealed right in their faces and to celebrate with him since Caleb is their friend.

"Wow!" Every eye widened immediately as Immaculate stepped into the hall. The Luna had really prepared her down to the last detail.

The dress she was wearing was eye-catching, and it made her feel so much different from the rest. She felt like she was standing out among everyone else, including the Luna herself.

Immaculate was a bit short, and her dark hair added to her allure. She was at least 18 years of age.

As she arrived, all eyes were on her, and she headed directly to sit beside the Luna at the high table where the alphas were also seated. It was a seat she wasn't supposed to sit in yet, as Caleb was supposed to appoint her as his mate before every eyes first and then take her to the seat himself. But, as always, she believed it was hers and hers alone.

The alphas sitting around the table looked very disappointed, their facial expressions revealing their disapproval. However, the Luna, who was supposed to take action, pretended like nothing had happened.

Then Caleb arrived at the hall, and everywhere went silent. The Alpha was present! All eyes were on him, hoping that he would choose no one but the one who was already portraying herself as the Luna, which is Immaculate.

Immaculate was smiling so happily.
