Chapter 2 Am I to be at ease

"It was just drizzling last night!" Flora whispers to herself, looking at the window she had herself splayed on the bed, and from there, she was able to witness the torrential rain for the day.

As opposed to other days, the rainy climate made it all different for the early risers. The heavy sound of heavenly drops lashing down was soothing to the pair of ears.

"I wish myself a blessed day!' Flora yawned in a dizzy manner. She stated it for herself in order to put a positive start to her day.

She gathered herself to sit, and her eyes flew open to look at the clock striking 7 past two in the morning.

After an hour of self-cleaning and beautifying the appearance.

"I am pretty good to make a move from here!" Flora said to herself, adding a smile for the person whom she saw in the mirror.

Flora stepped out and found her phone ringing, and it showcased her personal assistant's name.

"Good morning, Mam!" Said the assistant in a calm tone.

"Yes, tell me!" Flora stated while taking brisk steps towards the elevator.

"It seems that the meeting can be turned into online mode due to the weather condition." Felicia enlightened the information with clarity in her tone.

"Did the team converse with you this morning?" Flora asked, and her expression indicated that she was unsure.

"Yes, Mam. They couldn't reach out to you once it was 6 in the morning. Mr. Vincent couldn't be predicted to make it here." Felicia stated and made it clear.

Flora was now feeling somewhat relieved for the way she had to keep herself nervous throughout the not-so-good enough sleep in the night. Sooner, she got into the elevator and disconnected the call with a'meet you there' statement.

"Wow! Wait! Am I to be at ease?" Flora questioned her bewildered self, and a dampened smile formed on her soft lips.

"If the meet is to be conducted online, then I can be a little obvious with the famous actor that I am supposed to work with. Can't I?" Flora mumbled to herself.

Flora had worked all the hours that God sent to support her passion for acting and now has already made a long way in the path of experience. Coming a long way gives the clarity and perfection that she needs, but now Flora finds herself stressed up to have the famous actor as her co-actor.

The elevator unlatched, and Flora stepped out and got inside her newly earned swanky car. Throughout the journey, she tried calming herself with positive affirmations.

"I need not be nervous. I can be a real go-getter! Why can't I be?" She stated it to herself, trying to ease her nervousness.

As the road passed swiftly now, the car halted in front of the office where the meeting was going to be conducted. The relief that ran in cause of the sudden change in the mode of meeting helped Flora feel less of her timidity.

Increasing her steps towards the room, a lady walked ahead to help Flora let the door be open for her.

"Good morning, Mam!" The lady greeted her with a smile, and Flora reciprocated happily.

Once she got in, she was welcomed with a warm shock.

"Good evening, sir!" Her words stammered upon witnessing the most famous and expensive actor of the industry.

The eyes met, whereas shock sparked in her eyes and warmth through his calm eyes and refined state.

"Was the report a fallacy?" Flora thought to herself.
