Chapter 2 A New Chapter Unfolds

The morning light poured in, bathing the room in a soft, golden glow and illuminating the promise of a new day. Ethan woke up to a brilliant blue sky with the sun shining brightly like a diamond against the vibrant canvas in the morning. Time flew by and suddenly he found himself waking up on the morning of the crucial meeting at Greenland group.

" sleeping head hope you know you are to get up early, today you will be meeting a lot of business owners around California today and it will be bad to keep them waiting," said Mia as she opened Ethan's room to help him get ready

"Today is going to be stressful for me," Ethan said as he walked towards the bathroom Mai smiled and continued arranging the room

Arriving at the office Ethan was immediately greeted by a diverse group of businessmen, all eagerly awaiting the start of the meeting. The meeting started well and succeeded.

Lucas Brooks was also present at the meeting, arriving at his house he was welcomed by his wife Sonia Brooks who has a very lovely smile, long black hair that reaches the length of her waist, brown eyes, and straight legs." Welcome home your food is ready my love" said Sonia as she kissed her husband while taking his bag from his hand as she walked up the stairs. Lucas went to take his bath and came to the eat his food " how was the meeting hope it ended well even tho you never told me you were going for any meeting" said Emily Lucas's only daughter " as my little princess refuses to work for her dad but chooses to do a low class work" replied Lucas sharply " oh dad stop it not like I'm going to work outside for ever I just want to see how the outside looks and feels like, tired of being daddy little princess always at home with mummy expecting everything from daddy , is not fair I'm no longer a kid dad" Emily responded to her dad with a sad voice " please leave him to eat later you will discuss with him his very tired and needs to have his rest "Sonia said from behind as she walked towards the table and hold Emily's hand to take her to her room " here you go again treating me like a kid" Emily said as she walked away " I don't really know what she wants Lucas murmured to himself as he continues having his meal " I just feel you should let her do what on her mind after all the is not a baby she just want to explore more maybe just give her a chance, there is still enough time to think about it" Sonia said and she kissed Lucas on his fore head and left him to finish his meal.

Hi "Good morning" Emily greeted her mother in the kitchen who had already woken up early to prepare breakfast for the family on a Saturday morning. Emily joined her mum in the kitchen to make the preparation of the food quick.

The food was served and everyone was enjoying the food in total silence until Emily broke the silence " hey mom hey dad I have something to tell you" "okay go on my princess" replied Lucas " dad, mom concerning me going out to look for a work to do what do you have to say about that" Emily said turning towards her mum who also turn towards Lucas her father " I have thought about the idea over night and accept for you to start working but on one condition you are only allow to work for four months thats all" said Lucas " oh thanks dad thanks mom" Emily said as she stood up happily to hug her dad and kissed him on his cheek she also hug her mom and kissed her too " one more news dad I already have a place and I will be starting on Monday I also accept your condition just four month" Emily added as she waited for her dad responds " that's fine just make sure you don't stress yourself over there" said her mom " okay thanks mum I will be going to my room to prepare cause I will be going shopping for my new work " Emily said as she walked away happily and dancing around " she really looks so happy thanks my love" Sonia said as she turns to give her husband a warm smile. Later in the evening, Emily came back still happy and dancing around greeted her parent, and went straight to her room to have a sweet night's sleep.

As Monday morning dawned, she woke up with a spring in her step and a smile on her face, eager to embark on a new chapter in her career. With a sense of purpose and excitement, she rose early, feeling refreshed and ready to tackle the day ahead. She had been looking forward to this new opportunity for weeks, and finally, the moment had arrived. she began preparing for her first day, feeling grateful and thrilled to start this new journey. Emily who was already dressed up in a neat black T-shirt and trousers with her well-curved figure and her long black hair, with her brown eyes like her mothers happily greeted her parent ate her food so quickly and drove off feeling excited for the day ahead

The first day at work as a food delivery girl was a happy day for Emily as she happily drove around to deliver people's food, before she could call it a day she had to deliver food to the Thompson which Mia ordered "Hello is anyone home I'm here to deliver your food" Emily said as she rang the bell at the Thompson's gate but there was no answer for over an hour she left.
