Chapter 4 PASCAL ATTACK ON EMMA

EMMA'S P.O.V

"Hmph! Its a good thing he agreed, else I would have pulled you off the deal" Jenny huffed as she sat beside me. We were both comfortable in sweat pants.

"Well, I had a feeling he would agree to it"

"Of course he would. Duh! You are carrying his baby." after a pause, "...but I really can't believe that it was Maximus Star whom you had a hot, "passionate" sex with." She squealed.

I nodded as I stared off into space. "Yeah, who would have thought. I just thought everything was a mistake and that he was just an insignificant person whom I would forget soon and never meet. But he turns out to be the most eligible bachelor, and worst get wants to keep the baby..."

"...And also marry you" Jenny cut in.

We both sighed, today was a strange day for us.

"Let's hope we never have to see that bastard"

"Who" I looked at her.

She gave me a look, "Pascal. Who else"

"Oh yeah, him.I really wish I don't see him again, he really scared me earlier."

"Don't worry, as long as I'm here, he won't hurt you anymore."

"Thanks"

"Hmm. You're welcome"

"Emma, I'm going for a run okay, I'll be back in twenty minutes" Jenny called out.

"Okay, have fun"

I lay almost asleep when I heard the doorbell ring. Strange, I thought she said she would be back in twenty minutes. Its not up to ten minutes.

"Hey, I thought you said....."

"Hello honey!"

"Pascal" I stepped back as he pushed his way in. "What are you doing here?"

He smiled at me, his eyes glinting mischievously. "I told you I would be back, two days has already gone by, so I figured it was time to see you again." He came closer and ran his fingers up my face, "so you don't forget me".

I pulled my face away from him, "I don't want anything to do with you. Please leave" I said weakly.

He chuckled as he came closer,"I can't"

"Why"

His face turned solemn. "Baby, I'm really sorry I hurt you. I never meant it" he held my hands, "...it was all Samantha"

"Samantha?"

"Yes, Samantha. She seduced me and made me cheat on you."

"Then what about telling my boss to fire me. Was she the cause if that too?"

He blinked at me, 'Yes she is. I don't know how she did it but she convinced me to make you lose your job. If you want me to prive it, I can call your boss and have him give you your job back."

My head whipped up, "Really"

"Yeah, sure. Anything for you. Just please forgive me."

I sighed as I looked at him. "Fine, I forgive you."

"You do. Thank you."

He tried to kiss me but I pushed him back.

"Babe, what?..." He sounded confused.

"We can't be together anymore"

"What do you mean?"

"What I said. We...we just can't be together anymore"

"Seriously. But I already apologized."

"Yes and I forgive you but....I am not...I don't love you anymore"

His forehead crinkled, "Are you in love with someone else?...Is it that man I saw here the other day?" he snarled.

I shook my head, "No, I am not in love with anyone"

"Then what is stopping us from being together...?"

"I am pregnant"

"What?"

"I said I am pregnant?"

"Is..it mine?"

"....no, its not yours" I breathed out.

"Who....?"

"Maximus. The man you saw here, two days ago." I whispered as I watched his reaction. His eyes looked like they were getting out of focus.

"You...you...mean to tell me that you have been cheating on me with that bastard!"

"No! It happened on the day you broke up with me. I..I was drunk and I didn't know how it happened. I..I just woke up the next morning and he was there. Then three weeks later I discovered that I was pregnant. And he found out and wants the baby" I explained.

"Haha, he wants the baby." He turned away from me then he slammed his fist on the wall. I flinched and whimpered a little.

"You bitch, you racing whore"

Suddenly I felt his fists descending on my body. I screamed in pain as I felt him kicking my stomach, my ribs and my head. He seemed to focus more on my stomach.

"You bitch. You belong to me and only me. Getting pregnant for another man while I'm still here. No way, I'll make you lose that baby." He rented as he continuously hit me with his fists and legs. I was screaming but I couldn't hear my voice, my body which I hadcurked in a fetal position to protect myself felt limp. I could only make out blurry lines as my body was raked with pain.

"Please stop" I please weakly, my voice barely present.

But his hitting only got worse.

"Emma! Emma! Open up the door. What is happening in there. Emma!"

"Shit" Pascal cursed as he heard Jenny's alarmed voice.

"Pascal, I know its you in there, I've called the cops. Emma just hang in there."

I will try.

"I'll get you later, but I think my work is done here" Pascal rasped thenhe ran out through they back door, I forgot to lock it.

"My baby" I whispered as u heard the door being forcefully opened. I could make out Jenny's figure as she ran to me, her hands grabbing mine in panic as she cried out. I tried to get her attention.

"Jenny, Jenny?"

"Yes, I'm here. Are you okay. God, how could he do this to you" she sobbed out.

"Jenny, " I was getting more weaker, talking was draining my strength.

"My baby" was the last thing I whispered before I lost consciousness.

"Emma! Emma!" A faraway voice called out to me, I tried to follow the voice. My eyelids felt heavy but I tried to open them.

"Emma! Oh thank goodness, she's awake."

"Jenny?"

"Yes, Emma, its me. Its Jenny"

I opened my eyes to see a bloodshot Jenny looking so fatigued, her eyes were puffy, as if she had just been crying.

"Jenny. I'm so glad to see you."

"No, Emma, I am more happy to see you alive. I thought you were going to die. Its all my fault. I shouldn't have left you alone for even a second" she cried. I watched helplessly as tears ran down her pale face in torrents. The only thing I could do was to take her hand in mine but even that action was a lot painful.

"He escaped, Jenny. He said he came to ask for my forgiveness. I was stupid to have let him in." I told her, "I told him we couldn't be together and why he couldn't be together. Then..." my voice broke out, "get found out I was pregnant, that's when he started beating me." I cried.

"Oh Emma"

"Jenny, please tell me my baby is okay." I begged.

Jenny looked like she was about to answer but then two men came in. One looking distraught and one looking solemn.

"How are you doing, Emma?"

"How is my baby"
