Chapter 10 Meeting Edward for the first time after being

Ever since Alexa woke up, she had been avoiding the trio, trio because, Cassandra hadn't met Smith, yet. But she knew she couldn't avoid them forever and the time, Edward's father came to talk business while, Edward tag along. After the greetings and welcoming, the adult started talking and the children left, Alexa was walking to her room, she had stopped using crutches but was still limping, she had almost got when Edward stood at her front, blocking her and he began talking to her,

"Hey!" Edward said,

"Hi," Alexa said and then moved away, ignoring Edward, he followed her and kept talking to her,

"What's up, it seem you are avoiding me, what did I do to deserve a silent treatment?" Edward asked eagerly,

"Everything," Alexa muttered, but Edward didn't hear,

"what did you say?"

"nothing, I have not been avoiding you, I was just busy," Alexa said, she was doing a lot holding back not to slap Edward's face, so she needed to get away from him fast, before her patience snap,

"Alright, alright aren't you forgetting something?" Edward said excitedly,

"oh yes, I was going to my room when you stopped me, so I will leave now," Alexa said and then walked faster, Edward was shocked for a bit and paused, then he ran after Alexa and stopped her from walking any further by holding her hands, Alexa gazed with Edward with an look which meant, 'what do you want now', Edward was taking a back and looked at Alexa weirdly, he shook of the feeling and smiled,

"of course it's not that, I must say your sense of humor has really improved Al," Edward said and smiled softly, Alexa looked at Edward, if it was in her previous life that he had smiled at her like that, she would blush heavily, but this time all her heart felt for that smile was hate, it was the same smile that he had flashed Ella, when she came to check up on him in her previous life, so it made her hate both the smile and the owner of the smile, Alexa finally noticing her hands being held by his, ruthlessly dragged it away from his grip,

"I'm sorry, I'm not just in a mood to talk," Alexa said softly,

"What is it? Is it your knee? Do you have problems walking? are you seriously sick? Is it a fever?"Edward asked with worry written all over his face and began touching her forehead and her neck with the back of his hands, Alexa shifted away and his hand hung on the air, he embarrassedly withdrew his hand placed them into his pocket, but the excitement in his eyes had dimmed a bit,

"Well, since you forgot let me remind you, your birthday is coming up and you told me to buy a bag for you and I did, so I was thinking when to give it to you, now or on your party," Edward asked,

"Now!" Alexa said coldly, she was shocked, yes she asked Edward for a limited edition fancy pink Louis Vuitton pink hand bag, as a birthday gift, but, in her previous life, she had asked Edward to give her the gift on her birthday, so she could rub it on the faces of the other girls who liked her, but they announced of them being betrothed, before the gift giving, so he took the gift and left in anger without giving it to Alexa, but this time, she was planning on being the one to break his heart and not the way it played out before,

"ok, just wait right here, I will be right back, it's in my dad's car," Edward said and then ran to get the so called gift from his dad's car, Alexa wait till Edward was out of sight, before limping to her room.
