Chapter 2 2

Lorah's POV:

"Black Eyes?"

"Check!"

"Small round nose?"

"Check!"

"Average size lips?"

"Yup!"

"Semi-circle hair-line?"

"Check!"

"Oh my gosh Sicily, we're completely identical! I heard that was rare among twins of the opposite gender!"

"Yup! Looks like we're special!" Sicily replied with a grin.

I put an arm around her as we stood before our reflections in the mirror

"I never really thought of what I'd look like if I were a girl" I said, "At least now I know I'd be really pretty!"

"Awww thanks bro!!" Sicily turned to give me a hug and I held her close for a couple minutes

"Hey! Lovebirds?!" Drew had been fast asleep a second ago. Now he's wide awake, dark circles under his eyes

"Jeez man you look terrible! Didn't you sleep well?"

"No. I stayed up thinking"

"About what?" I pressed

Drew didn't answer, he just stared at Sicily with a sort of wistful expression

"What?" Sicily asked

Again Drew didn't answer, he just got up and walked up to us. He came closer until he stood right in front of Sicily.

Hands in his pockets, calm demeanor, he stood there and just stared at her

Sicily didn't bat an eye, she stared back and I'm sure the two of them could win countless staring contests.

I'm gonna have to find them some with cash prizes.

Finally, after staring at each other for two minutes straight, Sicily broke th e silence

"What is it Drew? If you wanted a stare off you coulda just asked"

"Everyone ships is in the Opposition."Drew said, getting right to the point. "I ship us too. The two of us would make an amazing couple and I love you til the sun dies"

"Isn't that part of a song?" Sicily asked, eyebrows raised as I cringed at him

"Yes, but it conveys my feelings perfectly. So what do you say? Wanna raise the anchor and get this ship put of the docks?"

Again I cringed

"Nah, I prefer airplanes to ships. I'm not a water person"

"Hahahahahaha" I almost fell over in laughter. Sicily knows exactly what he's talking about but she'd rather mess with him a bit

"Uh" Drew looked surprised

Suddenly Drew and my phones rang at the same time

Drew ignored his and continued to hit on Sicily

"Hello?"

"Lorah is Sicily awake? And why isn't Drew answering his phone?"

My eyes widened in surprise when I heard Sky's voice on the other line

"Yes she woke up last night, and Drew is too busy flirting with her to answer his phone"

Drew glared at me while Sicily and I laughed

"That was Ten calling him wasn't it?" I asked Skye while grinning at Drew

"Yep" Skye said

"Ooooh you're busted bro!!" I said to a worried Drew

"Well we called to tell you and Drew to return to the agency since Sicily is put of danger. In all the chaos you guys forgot to turn in the stolen resources you recovered from the plane....

Please tell me you still have them???"

"Yes we do"

"Great, well being them in and be prepared for your next mission. Can I speak to Sicily?"

As soon as I gave the phone to Sicily someone came bursting into the hospital room

"2.0 you're OK!!" Ten ran to Sicily and gave her a big bear hug

"Hey Commander!!" Sicily grinned

"How's my favorite prodigy feeling?"

"Much better sir! When can I get back to missions?"

"Not for a few months 2.0, you just too valuable. You just came very close to death, we can't risk losing someone like you.

And that goes beyond the fact that you are a prodigy of the agency

You're also a daughter, sister, friend, admired colleague, and might I add

"crush"" He glanced at Drew

You mean something to every single member of our agency and you also have pretty thick ties in the Awakening too. We can't just let something like this cause so many people to lose a loved one"

"But Ten! I'm an agent. Risking my life is part of the job description. I'd be wasting my time and skills if I just stuck to the non-risky stuff."

"She makes a good point" Skye said over the phone

"Oh my gosh you're still there?" I laughed quietly to the phone

"Hmmm well now I don't know what to choose for you 2.0. In any case let's see if you're clear to go"

After we gathered our retrieved weapons and secured them in Ten's car, we all piled in and drove back to the base.

Sicily's POV:

The car ride back was super awkward! I was in the middle of Drew and Lorah and Drew kept smiling at me.

It's weird because I literally gave up on my major crush on him about two weeks ago.

It was because he kept saying that he and I could be siblings. I hated the thought at first, but then I started thinking that maybe we could be siblings.

I started seeing him in that light and it completely destroyed my crush on him.

So it was really annoying that this was when he started catching feeling for me.

I ignored him and leaned on Lorah s shoulder.

Drew's face fell, he picked up his phone and started texting.

I cheered up thinking that he was finally thinking of something else and talking to some other person until...

Buzzzz

My phone vibrated in my pocket

"Sicily do you feel differently about me now"

Oh come on! He was texting me?!?

*Don't glance at him, DON'T GLANCE AT HIM!"* My brain screamed at me

I quickly glanced at him, and then turned away wide eyed.

HE WAS STARING AGAIN!!

*Deep breaths Sicily, just tell him the truth*

I moved my thumbs around my android touch screen as I decided what to text.

"No" No I can't say that!

"Not really" Ugh that makes me see indecisive!

"I did but now I don't think I want to date anymore"

Ughhhhhhhh OK Sicily, that's the truth, just send it!!

SENT

I bit my lip waiting for him to respond

"Oh", I heard him sigh

"Was it something I did?"

Here we go.....

"Drew I liked you so much, but you kept saying 'we may be siblings and

'it would be cool if we were siblings! I started to get used to that idea and stopped liking you as more than just a big brother" "......Sicily I..." I continued, "I asked you to stop. I didn't want you to be my brother. But you kept at it and when I found out you really weren't my brother..... didn't care."

"Sicily I'm sorry. I was just excited about the possibility of having parents and a sister, I didn't realize you wouldn't want that."

I felt him take a deep breath

"Please give me a second chance"

I received the text and stared at it, wondering what to say
