"I am Vivienne Rising, Aaron's sister. From now on, I will take care of you, I can give everything and anything you need. You, Lizzy, as my brother's Luna, it is your duty to order us whatever you want."
I bent down and looked at the grass I was stepping on.
"Elizabeth, not Lizzy," I said, still lowering my head.
I have no nickname, no one gave me one. I'm more used to being called by my real name, Elizabeth, even if it's too long.
The mansion stood imposingly against the night sky, its silhouette a stark contrast to the twinkling stars above. its dark stone walls seemed to absorb the light, making it appear even more foreboding. A chill wind swept through the air, carrying with it the eerie creaking of the wrought iron gate that guarded the entrance.
As I approached, the scent of damp earth filled my nostrils. I could hear the distant whisper of leaves rustling in the trees that surrounded the mansion, as if warning me of the dangers that lurked within.
Forest.
I can see no escape from here.
A grand fountain dominated the courtyard, its waters glistening in the dim light of the moon. its marble statues seemed to dance eerily in the shadows, their frozen expressions seeming to hide secrets and malice.
"If you're planning to run away, don't even think about it, only the dark and deep forest will welcome you outside."
I took a deep breath and looked away, my hand remained chained like a captured animal. I'm not wearing slippers, my dress is loose and you can see my collarbones, it's also long that reaches half of my thigh, the wind is strong so my long hair is waving.
The big front door opened which made noise in the whole mansion, two women opened it, and when they saw me they immediately bowed.
"Theo," Vivienne mused.
After a while, a man came who was a little taller than me, he has black, thick, fluffy hair, he was wearing round glasses.
"Her chamber is ready. The clothes she will use are also there."
I looked at him, he just bowed to me and they gave us the way. We made our way to the next floor, the stairs were quite high and slippery but I didn't have any trouble. I didn't hear any noise.
I looked around, on every wall, there were painted faces, the last thing I saw was his face...
I looked away, we entered a chamber. I stayed put and Vivienne had the key, she immediately removed the chain from my hand.
"Take a bath and fix yourself, after that, you'll vow your life with Aaron."
"What?" My forehead was wrinkled, she just gave me a small smile and left the room.
I took a deep breath and looked around, my attention quickly went to the window, I ran closer to it, it was open, and from here, I could see the forest. I peeked down, it's not that high, if I jump here I won't break a bone.
I gulped, I can feel something. Like someone was watching me, like some eyes are watching me.
"Think, Elizabeth..." I whispered to myself. I looked away and tried to put it out of my mind that someone was looking at me.
I walked around, I started to panic. I looked at the time, I have to escape before twelve. I breathed deeply again and I bit my lower lip, my eyes became mischievous to find a way to get down.
I was sitting on the bed but my eyes widened when I saw someone throw a small stone there, I ran and looked down. I saw three masked guys, only their eyes were visible.
"Elizabeth!" One of them whispered my name. My face was full of confusion.
"It's us! Christian sent us here to save you."
Oh shit!
I held on to the side.
"What are you doing in here?! How did you get in?" My face was full of dread, full of fear that they might be caught.
"That's not what you need to think about now. We learned that once an Alpha finds his mate, he'll cut your palm open and put the blood on a sword, that's a way to make them stronger."
I gasped.
"How did you know that?"
"We got some informations from our captive, a Rouge, so come down now before we get caught!"
I bit my lip hard, I ran closer to them, took off my clothes and put on the clothes they prepared for me, I ran again to look at them. I saw the net they were holding ready to catch me.
I didn't waste a moment. I climbed onto the windowsill and peered out into the darkness. The ground was far below, but I couldn't afford to hesitate. I took a deep breath and leapt into the night air.
For a moment, I felt weightless, as if I was flying. But then gravity took hold, and I began to plummet towards the ground. I braced myself for impact, but just as I was about to hit the pavement, I felt a sudden jolt, and then I was falling no more.
My eyes flew open to see that I was suspended in midair, my body held aloft by the three guys who had caught me in a net.
"We had been waiting and planning for this, ready to help you escape from the clutches of your captor. We are glad that nothing bad happened to you."
They immediately supported me so that we could go.
"Thank you--" I didn't finish what I was going to say when I heard a loud noise from the room, the window broke and I saw pieces of it fall from our place, we looked up together and I saw Vivienne peek out from the window. My lips parted.
"She escaped!" She yelled.
"Let's go!"
They pulled me quickly, they gave me a dagger which I immediately accepted, one of them pulled out a gun.
"Run to the very end of the forest, there is a car waiting for us."
I sped up my running, but my knees trembled when I heard a loud roar behind us, I looked there and my eyes widened when I saw a Lycan running towards us.
"Shit! It's a fucking Rouge!" One of my companions shouted.
They didn't think twice to carry me until we crossed the large and towering gate, they pulled me again but one of us stopped. He shot a Rouge but that wasn't enough.
"Shoot the head!" I yelled at them.
A few bullets were wasted but the Rouge didn't fall, instead it, only became more nimble. I grabbed the gun, I stopped running and put the gun to its head.
"Elizabeth!"
Before the Lycan could get close to me, I shot it three times in the head, it roared very loudly, its body suddenly shrank, and when it fell to the floor, it turned into a human form.
"Let's go!" They pulled me again.
I looked back and from the roof of the mansion, I could see a man on his knees , and his hand resting on the other side, watching me run away, his eyes glowed red, it was shining from the darkness, his hair moved because of the sudden wind.
He was like a crimson in darkness.
My heart beat strong and fast knowing who it was.
Aaron...
'Run as fast as you can. When you escape, you're free. But if not, you're mine.'
I heard a voice in my head so I stopped running and held my head.
"Shit!" I cursed, I closed my eyes.
"What's happening?" One of the guys asked.
But I couldn't answer.
"I- It's nothing, let's go..."
I bit my lip hard.
"Hurry, Christian is waiting for us. It's late night, and there's a possibility that--"
"Holy fuck!"
He didn't finish what he was going to say when a Lycan grabbed him, they sprang to the side and into the darkness, we never saw him again and I only heard screams and roars.
"Oh god..." My lips parted.
"Damn it!"
Now there are only three of us, we need to escape before--
'Run, Elizabeth. Run...' I took a deep breath. That voice... it was Aaron.
I knew it was Aaron, I looked around, I fell down when a Lycan rushed at us again, it pulled one of our companions.
"No!" I wanted to go after the body of one of our men but the other stopped me.
"Let's go, hurry!" He pulled me up, took out his gun and started firing up.
I looked above, wondering who he was shooting. I saw a silhouette of a man jumping high and fast at the very end of the trees, he looked down and I saw his familiar eyes.
I gritted my teeth, I sped up my running, but when I looked in front of me, I was shocked to know that my companion was already missing.
"Fuck!" I cursed.
I gripped the dagger tightly, but Aaron jumped down and pulled me back, so now he's in front of me, his eyes are full of desires and anger.
"Don't come near me!" I threatened.
"You failed to escape," he whispered with emphasis in his voice. "I gave you the chance to run, Elizabeth."
I continued to back away while he continued to step closer to me.
"Fuck off!"
I ran to him, I was about to stab him in the chest but he quickly dodged, I turned back and planned to kick his leg, but with a blink of an eye, he was already standing behind me, he caught my hands and locked me with his arms.
"Let me go!" I shouted, trying to get away from him.
"You failed to escape," he brought his mouth close to my ear. "And now you're mine."
