Chapter 4 WHAT IS THIS MAN UP TO

Hazel heaved a sigh of relief when the maids finally left. She was actually quite scared but this man temporarily protected her.

"Thank you sir! You are a really kind person", she said gratefully and he scoffed.

A kind person?? It seems this woman doesn't know him at all.

"Since you said you can cure my illness so how about we start now??"

"Sir...if I manage to cure you, will you let me go??", She said looking down.

Her main goal was to get away from here, she doesn't want to marry that crazy fella.

"You don't have the right to bargain with me right now!"

"Oh okay....it seems your illness has been going on for a while now", she said observing him.

Hazel's grandmother used to live deep in the mountains and she was well known in using herbs to treat illnesses. She lived with her when she was young and had learned some skills from her.

From her observation, he had severe dark circles and his eyes contained a fierce aura. His liver must be overheated.

"Shall we start now??", He asked getting impatient.

"Sir, please don't rush. I can treat you now but I need some medicinal herbs..."

"Write down the names of everything that will be needed", he said harshly and threw a pen and paper over.

Hazel sat on his chair, racking her brains for a long time, almost biting her pen. Finally, she wrote down few herbs and gave it to him.

"It's past 1pm and I'm afraid we can't buy them now. I can get them in the pharmacy tomorrow"

He cast a look at her and smirked. "Luke?? Fetch me the physician right now and tell him to get me the list of things in this book", he handed the paper to his assistant.

"Ok sir", Luke said and left immediately.

Hazel didn't even noticed a figure had been standing there all along. This house is surely full of mystery.

Wait! This man must be really crazy. Why would he bring someone over in this late hour??

While waiting for their arrival, Hazel began to look round the bedroom.

The bedroom was spacious and well decorated, the glasses, the door knob and the wall were all in pure gold. The Montana's family are indeed wealthy! The ivory carvings on the desk were understated yet opulent.

Hazel couldn't help stealing few glances at the young man who was busy with his phone. He is incredibly handsome!

She usually thought Stephan was the most handsome man in the city but this young man was the epitome of perfection. His presence was domineering and intimidating.....but wait! What's all these thoughts?? I should be planning on how to escape first thing tomorrow.

Just then, the Mr Matthew who was carrying the herbs and Luke finally arrived.

He was looking with a sleepy face and his clothes were buttoned up incorrectly. His eyes were filled with fear and his hands trembled as he held the herbs.

"You can go!", He ordered calmly and the man bowed and left the room. Soon, only Ryan and Hazel were left in the room.

"Can we start now??"

"Uh, sure", she said not sure of what she just said. She knew she couldn't avoid it, so she might as well try.

"Sir, please lie down here", she said and placed mugwort into the incense burner and lit the dried herbs. In no time, the room was filled with the fragrance and the smell fill his nostrils.

His tense nerves gradually relaxed and it felt as if he was in a peaceful and deep forest. It had been long he felt that way.

His deep eyes couldn't help but stare at the calm woman in front of him. Her face was serious and eyes were focused which seems so charming. Her gentle finger touched his skin and his body electrified.

Unexpectedly, whatever charm she was using was kinda of working cause in no time, Ryan gradually entered into his dreamland.

Hazek breathed out happily. She had thought this won't work but it's a relief it indeed worked. Just as she was about to leave he unconsciously dragged her and she fell in his arms.

"Ahhh", she moaned softly, trying not to wake him up.

His embrace was firm and stable, filled with his strong cologne. Hazel felt uncomfortable being held by him and her whole body was stiff. She tried to free herself but his arm tightened round her tiny waist.

What is this man up to!!, she said in her head.
