Chapter 9 PASSIONATE NIGHT

Ryan removed her hand from his clothes, still not pleased with her answer.

"Remember, don't play with the Montana's family or you will die a miserable death".

Hazel glanced at his handsome but cold face.Although she was afraid to face the darkness alone but she didn't want to cling to him like a leech.

"I know, Mr Ryan... goodnight"

With a heart pounding, she reached her bedroom. All lights went out and she seems to see a figure standing in the bedroom. Was it crazy Dave?? She remembered the scene from that night and shuddered.

Was she going to experience it again tonight? No, she didn't want to!

Hazel turned back and was about to leave the room when the thunder struck.

She quickly ran back blindly to the room and finally crashed into a solid chest.

As she fell into his arms, her small hands clung to him.

Her trembling voice repeated helplessly, "I'm so scared...I..I'm...scared, can I hold you for a while??

Yes, she was afraid of thunder!

She wasn't afraid of anything else, just thunder and darkness.

Her mom died during the rainy time in the dark and since then she had been traumatized.

She always believe that terrible monsters lurked in the endless darkness, ready to devour at any moment.

Although she knew she was holding Dave but at this moment only his embrace was haven. Dave has planned to push her away but when he touched her small face, he felt her tears.

After a moment of hesitation, his strong arms lifted her up without hesitation. He carried her to the bed and placed her on the soft bed.

The rain seems endless. For a long time, Hazel was still shivering, her whole body was as cold as ice.

Dave turned to her side and slowly, gently kissed her cold lips. He used his mouth warmth to drive away the chills in her body.

He hugged her tighter and kissed her deeper. His hormones were like raging fire, gradually melting her coldness.

In a daze, Hazel even forgot to push him away! She was scared or perhaps his kiss was too sweet and tempting, making her unable to control herself.

But suddenly, he realized something

He stopped his actions, buried his face in her neck and breathed heavily....after a moment, he hurriedly walked out of the room not without switching on the light.

Hazel gradually relaxed as she looked at the light on the room. She didn't seem as afraid as anymore. She was exhausted and fell asleep without thinking.

She didn't know how long she had slept when she suddenly woke up again.

At this moment, a hint of dawn has appeared in the room. She covered her mouth when she remembered what happened last night.

She can't believe she actually kissed him. She couldn't bring herself to imagine she actually kissed him. She went downstairs and discovered that all the guards were not guiding the building not even close to the building.

At this moment, Vivian was leaning against the door and she was watching as Hazel quietly disappeared, a smile appearing on her lips.

She picked her phone and dialed Betty's number.

"Betty, this woman is too cunning. Now I have done my job by letting her go...the rest is up to you"

"Do you know where she went??", Betty asked.

"I'm not sure but I will make sure she doesn't come back here again".

"Vivian you are really amazing. We can't let her off easily We will talk more tomorrow".

"Okay".

After hanging up the phone, Vivian hurriedly went to Hazel dressing room. She smeared a bright tomato sauce on her mouths, cheeks and forehead. The tomato made her face all red as if she has just being beaten.

Sbe slept on the floor, breathing heavily, she called out to the people outside.

"Help! Help!!, Miss Hazel has ran away and she has injured me. Please inform master Ryan immediately...."

Half an hour later, Hazel knocked on her best friend, summer's door.

Summer opened her eyes widely at the sight of Hazel. "Hazel, what's going on?? Why are you here early this morning?? Aren't you supposed to be having your honeymoon with Stephan???"

Hazel pointed to the taxi parked on the side of the road.

"Could you please pay for the fare?? I'll explain everything to you later".

"Come in quickly!".

When summer came back after paying the fare, Hazel was pacing to and fro in the room, looking like she had been greatly frightened.

Summer quickly pour her a cup of tea. "I'm sorry, my mom was having her surgery on your wedding day, so I couldn't make it. You're not mad at me, are you??"

"Thank goodness you didn't come. Otherwise, you would have regret it...."

After drinking the cup of tea, Hazel narrated everything that happened on her wedding day to summer.

Summer was furious after hearing it. "These two people are simply disgusting. They lived off your mother's wealth and yet they were not satisfied until they sold you for money. They have no conscience....we can't let them get away with it".

Hazel's face was also very painful. "I will definitely not let them go easily but right now, I might need your help".

After daybreak, Hazel went to buy a new phone and returned home to her family.

Taking a deep breath, she pressed the doorbell and the door opened revealing her wicked step mother Mrs Anderson.

When Mrs Anderson saw Hazel, there was a hint of surprise on her face but she quickly regained her composure and forced a smile.

"Oh, Hazel, you're back!"
