Chapter 8 YOU STILL HAVE A FIANCE

As she had suspected, someone had poisoned the soup.

She broke into cold sweats and touched her chest. What if she had not spilled the medicine?? How will she explain even if she had ten mouths??

Vivian came to her mind but she did not know her before marrying into this family so why would she want to harm her?? Or could it be she had been bribed by Betty?? If so, I also need to take immediate actions.

Soon, night fell and her heart felt heavy. Perhaps it was because she had been frightened that Dave would show up again. She turned on all the lights in her room and a knock came in.

It was Vivian.

"What do you want??"

"Just here to inform you that master Ryan would love to have dinner in the garden with you. Just go to the left side of the background. Don't keep him waiting!", She said harshly and left almost immediately.

Since it was Ryan that invited her, Hazel didn't dare to delay and quickly changed her clothes before hurrying downstairs. She hurriedly walked along the corridor to the garden.

When she got there, a figure immediately showed up.

"Hey Hazel, it's me!", Before she could react, the figure hugged her. It was a strange woman but she seemed to be very familiar with her and took her hand.

"Hazel, let's go quickly. I'll take you out of here. My car is parked outside and I've already taken care of your passport. I'll immediately send you to England and you won't be troubled by the Montana's family for the rest of your life."

The woman's words was very appealing and exactly what Hazel wanted but she quickly calmed down.

"Who are you?? How do you know my name??"

"Hey Hazel, how come you don't even recognize me?? I'm your classmate, winter"

Hazel thought for a moment and there did seem to be a classmate named winter but the woman in front of her didn't look much like her. To confirm her identity, she asked cautiously, " winter, what's the surname of our homeroom teacher in the first year??"

"Well... it's been so long since we graduated, who remembers that??" , Winter causally replied.

Hazel sneered secretly immediately confirming that this was not the real winter because their homeroom teacher was winter's own mother.

Is there a daughter in the world who doesn't remember what her mother's surname is??

Seeing how silent Hazel is, winter became anxious and grabbed her arm.

"Hazel, I know it's been long but it doesn't matter who I am. What's important is that you already made an agreement with your family. And the agreement was, after scamming the Montana's family, I'll pick you up and help you leave the Montana's family. Your family couldn't come today so they sent me to get you. Let's go, we don't have much time"

Although this woman sounds suspicious with her gibberish but Hazel felt like leaving with her at least to run from this family but then she felt something as if someone was watching from behind.

The invisible aura gave her goosebumps and she only feel this whenever she's around Ryan but he isn't here, is he?? Or maybe this woman wasn't speaking to her but rather intentionally trying to provoke the man behind her, Ryan.

Come to think of it, how could Ryan invite a newly bride to a dinner garden?? This was illogical.

Realizing this, she quickly reacted and pushed her away.

"I'm sorry but I'm afraid you've got it wrong! Since I married into this family, I'm now a part of this family and I will stay. Also, the story about deceiving the Montana's family is completely fabricated by you", she said and moved back.

"C'mon, don't be like this. Why are you backing out now?? Do you want to keep the ten million to yourself?? Don't forget, your fiance is out there, waiting for you", winter said cunningly and Hazel started shouting for help.

"Help, someone help. There's an intruder in the mansion"

Almost immediately, all the lights turned on and winter immediately took to her heels.

The lights revealed the tall figure of Ryan behind her.

Hazel ran to him and held his hand, "Ryan, there's an intruder out there, trying to trick me into leaving"

His cold eyes swept over her face and gave her a cold reply. "Haven't you always wanted to leave??"

"Yes, I've always wished to leave but I can't until I return the money you paid. I have no intention of deceiving the Montana's family", she said sincerely and Ryan hummed.

"Find that woman, don't let her escape", he ordered and Luke carried out his order immediately.

As they approach the staircase, Hazel hand was still tightly glued to Ryan's arm.

He stopped and glanced at her fragile little hand. " you still have a fiance??"

"That's in the past", she replied staring at him eyeball to eyeball.
