Chapter 5 Funeral and Beautiful garden

Three days after his passing, Edward's funeral took place, where everyone gather to say their final goodbyes and bid him a peaceful farewell.

Illeana's heart was heavy as the days went by, and she was eventually discharged from the hospital to continue her treatments at home.

Krystle tearfully expressed that our dad's greatest wish was to see us happy. It pains him to see us sad and in tears every day, barely eating. Please, everyone, eat. We need to hold on to his happy memories and bring joy to wherever he is. We have to be strong and keep living our lives. We are a family, and we must take care of each other. No one should feel alone. Our lives must go on, and someday we will reunite with him.

Lily arrived just in time to hear everything.

Krystle's right, we need to keep living for his sake. We have to be happy and live our lives. Please, everyone, eat. It will only make him sad if we don't. Lilac nodded in agreement, adding "Yes, Lily, please join us." With heavy hearts, everybody began to eat.

Lily used to visit and see Illeana every day, began spending more time with Lilac and Illeana.

During one of their conversations, Lilac expressed her concern about Illeana's future, worrying about who would marry her in her current condition,when will she recover. Lily suggested her brother, Alexander, who had a crush on Illeana and was liked by her as well. Despite Lily's enthusiasm, Lilac felt it wasn't the right time and didn't want anyone to feel like she is a burden or face any mistreatment. She wanted to wait until Illeana had fully recovered before considering marriage. Lily, on the other hand, offered words of encouragement and motivation, reminding them that there is much more to life and that they shouldn't give up. Her positive influence even started to change Lilac's opinion of her. However, Lilac still couldn't bring herself to accept Krystle, as she was a painful reminder of her husband's death and her daughter's suffering.

Krystle did her best to help Illeana in her recovery journey.she would read stories to her, massage her,watch dramas together, and even take her out in a wheelchair to enjoy their beautiful garden filled with vibrant flowers. Illeana found solace and rejuvenation in the garden.

Lily appeared before them,triggering Illeana a sudden wave of dislike towards her.she cherished her time with Krystle more.

Krystle was ecstatic when she found out she was pregnant. She couldn't contain her joy and shared the news with everyone.The mixed emotions of happiness and sadness filled the room, as they were all still coping with their recent loss and Illeana's confinement to a wheelchair.

Lily was absolutely livid and envious when she found out that Krystle was four weeks pregnant. The doctor advised Krystle to eat nutritious food for the baby's health. Two months later, krystle noticed that Eric wasn't taking care of her the way he used to when she was pregnant. Instead, he instructed the maids to look after her and provide nutritious meals, while avoiding any personal interaction with her.

Eric was so engrossed in his work that he started to ignore his family.

Lilac then approached Krystle, requesting her to watch over her unborn baby and take the kids to their grandparents' house for a few days.You'll feel better with your parents taking care of you, and the kids will have a great time there.

Krystle was convinced that her mother-in-law couldn't let go of the suspicion surrounding her husband's death. No matter how hard she tried to prove her innocence, doubts lingered. She decided that a visit to her parents home might help clear the air and understand that she is innocent.

Krystle was in the midst of packing her belongings she felt a sudden shift in everything around her life. She couldn't shake off the feeling of devastation that lingered within her.

Now,Eric has been avoiding her calls for quite some time, ever since his father's funeral. He kept making excuses about his workload and going on business trips, leaving Krystle feeling abandoned. She decided to take the kids to her parents' house and texted Eric about it. She couldn't help but feel Lily, seemed to be everywhere in her life and felt like she was trying to steal Eric away from her. Lily claimed that she wanted to work with Eric because he was her best friend and she admired his intelligence and business acumen. Despite coming from a wealthy family, Lily chose to work at Eric's company,as her brother will inherit their family business. It was clear to Krystle that Lily was infatuated with Eric, and when they were getting married.

Lily told us she was willing to accept his feelings and move on for the sake of his happiness as his heart belongs to Krystle.

Never take for granted someone who genuinely loves you. By the time you recognize their true value, they may no longer be there. Once lost, love can be difficult, if not impossible, to recover. If you truly care for someone, be patient, seek understanding, communicate honestly, and live with transparency. Only through these will love endure the challenges of time.

What happens when the person you gave your whole heart to-the one who was your entire world-turns their back on you? The one who, no matter the circumstances or opposition, you believed would always stand by your side and trust you?
