Chapter 6 Dead or Alive

"Mrs. Jovanka would like to see you, Mr. Noah," Zeke said, as he arrived at Noah's apartment.

"Does she know what we're investigating?" Zeke asked again.

"Don't worry. Take it easy, I'll sort it out." As if there was no burden at all, Noah accepted the request to meet with Jovanka.

"Zeke, come here ... I just got new information from Qatar," said Noah, who was busy at his desk investigating something.

Called by Noah, Zeke approached him. Then, Noah gave Zeke his earphones. Zeke put the earphones in his ears.

[Sir Lion is going to New York, so you can close the dealership for a week.]

[Okay, then we're still going on vacation?]

[Vacation you say? You have another job! Quick, serve the people in the basement, they all smoke drugs! You have to make them spend their money!]

After that, there was no more conversation between them. Zeke, who had just heard it, immediately looked at Noah with a surprised face.

"Mr. Noah, how did you intercept it? Oh My Goodness ...." For some reason, Zeke had just found out about this. He thought Noah went to Qatar with Emma just to investigate Jovanka. However, it turned out that it was also related to Sir Lion.

"I couldn't have told you guys if I hadn't gotten this evidence. Now ... You send this recording to the IT team and track down the man who spoke earlier. I think he is one of Sir Lion's confidants!"

"But Mr, why is Sir Lion suddenly in New York?" Zeke asked again, making him still curious.

"Didn't Raquel say there would be a bombing at Penn Station? Of course, he was prepared to monitor it."

"You human trash!" Without realizing it, Zeke swore at Sir Lion right in front of Noah.

"Did you get a call from Raquel?" asked Noah.

Just as Noah was about to say that, his cell phone suddenly rang.

"Guards in front of Raquel's apartment," Noah said.

["Hello"]

["Mr. Noah, we're sorry, we lost Ms. Raquel. We were drugged by masked men. Ms. Raquel was kidnapped by them!"]

["Fuck! You're incompetent, you should focus, damn it!"] Noah immediately turned off the phone and his face, which had been calm, immediately turned tense.

"Quick, get the team to track Raquel's cell phone too! She's been kidnapped by Sir Lion!"

Upon learning that Sir Lion was in New York, Noah should have immediately tightened security for Raquel. Last night Noah was thinking about Emma who suddenly didn't want to talk to him, making him only focus on Emma.

"Get those bodyguards over here!" Noah ordered again.

"I'll go to Emma's apartment, it looks like Jovanka made Emma a threat too. I'm afraid this will happen to Emma too!"

Noah immediately stretched his legs wide, grabbed his car keys, and headed straight to the basement to drive his car.

Thirty minutes later, Noah rang the bell of Emma's apartment. There was no answer at all. Was Emma awake yet? Wasn't she picked up by Grace at 10:00 am?

He banged his hand on Emma's apartment door. He also called Grace to ask where Emma was. Who knew she was with Grace?

However, Grace said that she had just finished breakfast and hadn't been to Emma's apartment.

Until a few minutes later ...

"Noah, what's wrong?" The apartment door was opened by Emma, with her hair wrapped in a towel and a kimono towel on her body. Emma had just finished taking a shower.

"Geez, Emma." Upon seeing Emma, Noah immediately hugged Emma's soap-smelling body.

"Why are you so hard to reach?" grumbled Noah, releasing his hug but still holding Emma's shoulders.

"I'm in the shower and my phone is on the bed," Emma replied.

"Come on, come in!" Emma took Noah inside her apartment and talked about it inside.

"Raquel was kidnapped by Sir Lion," Noah exclaimed.

Making Emma immediately open both eyes perfectly. "How could that be? Aren't there bodyguards–"

"They were drugged by those masked men. As we all know, Sir Lion's men wear masks."

Emma was silent for a moment, lost in thought as she couldn't imagine how Raquel was doing now.

"Noah, is she going to be okay?" Emma asked with a sad face.

"The IT team is tracking her. She should be fine," Noah replied although he wasn't sure himself.

"Oh yeah, I'm going to the house, to get Jovanka's phone. I think her phone is very useful for tracking where she was last night!" Suddenly, Emma had an idea that would be very useful.

"Would you be okay if you went into that house again?" asked Noah, who was still worried about Emma.

Emma smiled and said, "I need to be strong. I should be able to go there to help Raquel–"

"Alright." Noah hugged Emma again.

"I'm sorry about last night," Noah said again.

"Mmmh, I have to go there now, before I go to the company and take care of the finances, so that the employees get their due immediately." Emma did not answer Noah. Because she didn't want to discuss it at the moment.

"I'll send two bodyguards to escort you there." Of course, Noah was worried that Emma would go alone and something would happen.

"No need. I can take care of myself. Now you just focus on finding Raquel."

Then, will Emma succeed in retrieving Jovanka's phone?

"Get me out of here, aaaaa! Damn it!" shouted a smart journalist who was in a dark room, without any lighting at all.

That night, Raquel was sleeping and suddenly someone came into her room and injected her so that when she was taken to the car, Raquel was unconscious.

Raquel screamed for the door to open, but there was no answer. She didn't even know who had kidnapped her.

Until, a few minutes later, someone opened the door knob.

The light was turned on and now the face of a man Raquel recognized!

"Sir Lion," she whispered to herself.

Thanks to her secretive search, Raquel knew Sir Lion's real face from a photo and now she saw it in person.

"Wow, apparently this smart journalist recognizes me." Sir Lion smiled while blinking one eye. As if not showing his evil face.

"I've always wanted to meet you! You heartless savage! You made someone lose their family because of your greed!" shouted Raquel who seemed to know no fear.

"Good, that's what I want. Reducing the population of this world. Useless people," replied Sir Lion, still with his calm yet deadly face.

He had a fairly thick beard and curly hair. Tattoos were on his hands and neck.

"Would your daughter be happy if she knew her father's true nature like this?"

"Shut up you bastard!" Hearing his daughter's name mentioned, which of course was Jennifer, Sir Lion was instantly enraged and even stood up from his seat.

"You have no right to associate this with my daughter!"

"But does your daughter know that you are her biological father? Of course, she doesn't know, does she? Because for all she knows, her father is gone!"

Raquel provoked the sleeping lion. So Sir Lion stepped up to her and strangled her tightly. Making it difficult for Raquel to breathe.

As Raquel said, Jennifer didn't know that her father was alive. Because Jovanka and Sir Lion deliberately hid this fact.

"Please just kill me, you stupid, Barbaric human!" Over and over again, Raquel said that.

Then, a gunshot sounded from behind her. Who was firing? Did Noah manage to track Raquel's whereabouts?
