Chapter 3 MARRIAGE

"Mira, take a seat", my father said in a harsh tone just when I was about to reprimand that scumbag of a Prince.

I reluctantly took a sit to avoid making my father angry, but I already had in mind to deal with the Prince. I was so angered because in our custom kissing a girl's hand meant claiming her as yours and I wasn't going to belong to him, NO WAY.

"As you know your sixteenth birthday is fast approaching and you'll become eligible for marriage"

''I've decided that you would be getting married to Prince Jeff on that day"

I was flabbergasted for moment and didn't have the time to react to the grin I saw on the Prince face

"WHATTTT !" But father you agreed to let me decide when I would get married", I said with a look of disbelief in my eyes, tears nearly dropping from my eyes, it was a norm in this part of the world for girls to be married not long after they turned 16 but My father promised he'll let me get married at whatever age I desired on the condition that I remained pure. But what changed now? why was he going back on his words? and worst of all he's making me marry someone I already hated at first sight.

"Not all promises can be kept", I heard him say.

''Put yourself together and accept it, because I'm not changing my mind, not now not ever", Father said in a cold voice he never used on me.

"Princess don't worry i promise to take good care of you when you become my wife", i heard Prince Jeff said in a sultry voice as he came up to me,

he raised his hands to wipe my tears but before his disgusting hands could get to my face I slapped his hand hard.

'' YOU WOULDN'T DO THAT, APOLOGIZE NOWWW" Father stormed. Whattt I was being violated by this proud disgusting thing of a Prince and Father was asking me to apologizee.

"I'm sorry", I said in a tiny whisper

"May I leave now, Your Grace", I curtsied with my head low trying to hide my tears, without waiting for permission I stormed out from the Great hall pushing those large doors open.
