I told myself that he was just unconscious, but the blood! It was much! With fear, I bent down shaking him vigorously, nothing. I tried to check for breathing, no matter how faint, a pulse. Nothing!
I felt my body quiver, my bladder filled not with urine but with gabbled prayers I was muttering inside me. He was dead!
I sat down beside him, his blood soaking my gown, I was too shocked to cry or show any outward emotion. I had never injured my fellow human, but now, a person's death hung above me. My hands were soiled. I couldn't think of anything to do at all, but to turn myself in, and make a plea for drunk driving. At least my sentence would be reduced to minimal. But as I heard a rustling in the bush beside my car, I ran towards it, probably in fear of any wild animal lurking around or to escape the accident scene!
Once in my car, I looked around to see if anyone was coming, no one. My front, back, left and right, are all clear, luckily there weren't any security cameras around and with the speed of light, I drove away. My soiled gown soaked my seats, I held back vomit. I reached my house and I stayed inside the car for a few minutes, I decided to go have my bath first. Immediately I came out, I doubled over and threw up, it felt like my body was against my actions and wanted to leave.
My sister, on hearing some noises outside, rushes to see me bent over, crying and clenching my tummy, my gown soaked in blood, my hair a mess, my mascara smearing my face. "Zoe! What the!" Sarah said as she ran towards me.
That was the last question she asked me, as she took me into the house without any other words.
She helped undress me and took me into the bathroom. "I can handle it from here," I said as she closed the door behind me. I put on the shower, the running water washing away the trails of blood that stuck on my lap, washing away little vomits that rubbed on my body, but I knew it would never wash away the sight in my head, the figure in his pool of blood was imprinted into my brain!
After I got out, with no appetite and no sleep in my eyes, I strolled out to find my sister cleaning the insides of my car, I walked towards her, crumpled to the ground, and began narrating the ordeals of my night!
Alex's POV
My mum wouldn't stop bugging me, marriage means nothing to me, but that isn't how my old woman thinks. Making money had been the only purpose of my life, and I only worried about not making at least a million each week, not until my mum started her nags of carrying her grandchildren! I wasn't the one who told her to have an only child! "Yes Mum I've heard you," I said, speaking into the phone. I was about to say something when Sam came barging into my office, I shot him a murderous look. How dare he! If not that Sam was my most trusted worker, I would have sacked him instantly! But then I remembered I assigned him to be in charge of the execution of Henry, that slimy bastard! Traitor!
"I was thinking of introducing you to Elsa, Mayor Matilda's daughter, you know she just came back from..." I didn't let my mum complete her sentence before interrupting.
"Mum, let's discuss this later at night, business calls now" I didn't want to shout at my mum, I loved her, but the meddling was starting to irritate me.
"Oh dear, why not?" My mum replied as I ended the call.
"Speak Sam," I said my voice low and hard.
"Sir, we beat him mercilessly, before we had someone coming towards us, we decided to lay low for some minutes, and then he initiated an escape...
"What!!" I screamed at Sam as he shrieked. But he replied instantly, fearing that I might do something in that rage.
"No boss, he was hit down by a woman! and I'm sure he didn't survive! I watched her come out of her car to confirm, before scamping away" Sam blurted out.
I didn't know what to make of this new event, so I slightly nodded. Yes, I wanted him dead, but I wanted to be the cause of his death! So that in his next life, he won't ever think of betraying me! But the work had been done. He was dead.
Sam excused himself, as I tried to bury my head back in my work. But I started to think about what kind of a woman was a hit-and-run. I picked up my phone and called Sam.
"Tell me you got her plate number" It wasn't a question. "Yes boss, I did" Sam replied.
"Track her, and give me feedback ASAP".
"Yes boss", Sam replied and I ended the call.
An idea was piping into my head, I didn't like the tone of it, I barely knew this woman. But I decided to give it a try, my last resort before I let my mum have her way with the rubbish girls she keeps throwing at me.
Before I closed for the day, a message popped on my phone. "Zoe Reynolds, 21 years, A senior realtor. Lives at Madison Street, oh wow, an hour's drive from here" I spoke to myself. And then I opened her picture. My mouth was left open, She was gorgeous, full in the right places, and clearly didn't look like a hit-and-run. What's up your sleeves Zoe Reynolds? I thought.
In my room, the picture didn't leave my mind, I picked up my phone and searched for her on Instagram. "There you are!"
As I looked at her picture, a particular one where her boobs were exposed, my cock hardened, and I was surprised. I kept staring and an evil thought came to me as I searched for my Vaseline. I rubbed it on my shaft imagining those boobs on my face, bouncing as this beautiful stranger rode me. I massaged my cock till I reached my peak and I came. I didn't know what to make from this attitude and I blamed it on stress.
A week later, I had already written a letter, a threat, that was to be delivered to this stranger. I made it as threatening as possible, I knew, cause I was good at threatening people. When I was satisfied with my work. I called for Sam, hoping that this crazy game I was about to pull off would work.
Zoe's POV
I had been on the edge the whole week, I wasn't even able to go to work and ignored the messages and texts from my co-workers. And so before I opened the letter delivered to me, my whole body quivered like it had been expecting it.
I opened the letter, and pictures of the crime scene that night fell off, with a pen, a customized pen.
"I saw you that night! Sign this, Marry me, be with me for three years, and your secret forever remains closed, or else!!!" I looked out from my window, and soon everyone outside looked like a promising suspect behind this madness!
But someone seemed to catch my eye in a red Benz, he came out and rested by the side of his car. He came out of his car, smiling.
And gave me a curt nod!!
