Eloise places a hand on his shoulder as she moves over to him. While he is looking at his phone, Eloise is sitting next to him, and she is giving him her undivided attention.
According to Eloise, "Oliver, your mother has passed away, but she is still alive." She says this as she takes his phone and turns it off. The moment I look into Oliver's eyes, I feel as though we have just been beaten in the struggle.
James wonders to himself from the side, "What are we going to do now?"
Following Eloise's response, which was, "We can't hide from them," I let out a sigh and looked over at Charlotte. Her demeanor is mournful and apprehensive.
James poses the question, "What about Charlotte?" as he tilts his head in the direction of Charlotte.
Following his conclusion, he says, "The ghost rider was afraid of her." I nod my head in agreement with him.
She stops for a moment before taking a seat at the table next to Eloise and stating, "It wasn't fear. It's..."
I let out a sigh as she declared, "It's almost like reverence."
"Does matter. The rift is gone. We're the only one left in Anaheim Hills." Oliver mumbles something. His voice was tinged with melancholy and exasperation.
As soon as we hear someone banging on the door, we all turn our heads to look at them. When the door is opened, Sheriff Harper has already arrived. As soon as he entered, he shut the door behind him carefully.
He comes across to us and lets out a sigh. At that moment, the Sheriff's declaration causes all of our faces to widen, and he says, "I have a son."
When he continues, "His name is Mieczyslaw Harper, but we call him Thomas. I remember," I grin at his words. Thomas is the nickname that we give him.
The Thomas
It is between all of us that he looks. "When Thomas was a little kid, he couldn't say his first name. Not sure why. It pretty much rolls off the tongue. But, uh, the closest he could get was Mischief. His mother calls him that until..." he begins to speak.
He inhales deeply, takes a few deep breaths, and then turns his attention back to us. "I remember when, uh... When Thomas got his Jeep. It belonged to his mother. She wanted him to have it. The first time when he took a spin behind the wheel, he went straight into a ditch. I gave him his first roll of duct tape that day." He proceeded to narrate, and I grinned at the thought that came to mind.
"He was always getting into trouble, but he always had a good heart. Always. But the reason we are here tonight is because my goofball son decided to drag Oliver, his greatest friend in the entire world, into the woods to see a dead body," he continues. I can feel tears welling up in my eyes as I think about his recollections.
I turn my attention to Oliver, who is wiping away tears from his eyes. It was a quiet query that he asked, "How did you remember?"
Harper stated, "It all begins with Thomas' jersey. After that, I discovered the red string for his crime board. Finally, his entire room came back, along with all of the memories. And then the most peculiar thing happened." I pulled the Crescent pendant that was on my chain and held it in my hand.
Charlotte questioned, asking, "What?"
His explanation to all of us was, "I thought I saw him. It's like something opened right there in the middle of the room. Just for a moment. And then it was gone." Oliver's eyes widened as he listened to his explanation.
A rift," Oliver exhales. "A rift."
While I am looking at Oliver with my eyebrows wrinkled, I add, "I thought there was only one rift."
Oliver continues, "You remembered Thomas, and then a new rift was created," and his eyes show that he is determined to make his point.
At this point, Eloise fades off, "If the Sheriff can do it..."
With a glimmer of optimism in her eyes, Charlotte answers, "Perhaps we could."
James says, "But that rift closed," explaining the situation.
When Oliver continues, "Then we'll open it again," I can't help but smile at the blueprint that he's putting together in his head.
After casting a glance in Oliver's direction, the Sheriff inquired, "How?"
With a grin on my face, I respond, "By remembering Thomas. We have to remember everything."
Lost
The voice that I hear whispering over to me is asking, "Princess?" I sigh and open my eyes, my neck pressed against the bars of the jail in a position that is quite uncomfortable. When I glance, I find Elijah stooping down and attempting to rouse me from my sleep.
At the same time, Oliver, Charlotte, and Eloise came up with the idea to enter the bunker and make use of the freeze machine that Benjamin had previously utilized on Ainsley. Their intention was to make an effort to recall Thomas. I made an effort to accompany them, but I was once again obligated to serve as a babysitter. Despite the fact that I intended to make an effort to recall him, they advised me to remain in this location with James and Harper in case something unexpected occurred.
