Chapter 4 The Tyrant's Game

Money is not the problem, love is.

"I need a wife." Randall, the top billionaire, blurted out of nowhere.

It caused multiple stares and judgment. He's sitting across from his shareholders from his company who were waiting for his signal before they could finally leave.

They were all shocked by the understatement, even Randall himself. He was brought back to reality when his secretary snapped at him.

"Forgive my ignorance, but what do you need a wife for?" Gustavo, one of his shareholders, asked. It wasn't out of ignorance, pure curiosity, it is. After all, he had a daughter that he planned to sell out anytime soon.

Randall ran his fingers on his shiny smooth jet black hair. Cold expression and his sharp stares made everyone in the room feel extremely awkward.

"That would be uncalled for, I do not need your daughter, Gustavo." He simply rejected such a proposal even before it happened.

Gustavo felt ridiculed as the members laughed at him. His fist clenched as he could not take such embarrassment coming from the head's mouth.

He's not one to be put in a tight spot by pinning him of shame, but he cannot do anything. One flick and Randall would be sending him to places he would not want to be in.

Randall is that wealthy. He can buy anyone, anything. Money is what runs in his veins, and wealth will always be his top priority.

"The meeting ends here." Randall clapped his hands and stood up from his chair.

The members hastened to leave and it was as if everyone was scared to be alone in the same room as him.

"Here's the list of all the worthy women I could gather. You might want to consider marrying a woman in your range." Carl, Randall's secretary, handed out a list of all the billionaires he could get a hold of.

Randall's eyes turned dull. He hated being thrown to a stranger, even if it was needed.

The conditions need to be met. His father's wealth will only be transferred to his name once he gets married.

Greed is the only sin that Randall is familiar with. He never felt contentment, even for a bit.

He only wants what's the best for him and clearly, there isn't a single competent woman on the list.

He slammed the list on the table and annoyedly left the room. Carl was quick to follow, sighing as he knew he could not satisfy the billionaire's expectations.

"Sir, even the only woman in the billionaire's troupe is included in the list. I fear that you should reconsider." Carl sighed.

"I did not ask for your opinion." Randall made an understatement, asking Carl to shut his mouth.

He hated it when people got too ahead of themselves and ordered him around. To him, he is the ruler, the only person who should have a say in his life.

He is stubborn, nobody is ahead of him. He is on top, the God of Gods.

"Fuck... I want to drink." Randall whispered to himself as he made his way to the garage.

"Aren't you coming?" He stared at Carl who was standing stiffly outside his shiny expensive Rolls-Royce that made everyone's head turn almost as immediately as he passed by them.

Carl hopped in and his eyes darkened. "My shift finishes here, dumbass."

Randall's laugh echoed in his car as he drove off. "Haha! Curse me and you'll step down your title."

They were friends, even if it is not evident. Childhood friends are even better.

Carl leaned on the car seat as he clenched his jaw. "At this rate, you might not get that inheritance of yours. You ought to marry someone your range, why run to a bar now?"

Instead of Randall being the stressed one, it was Carl. He grew up watching the billionaire rise from the bottom to the top and he will do anything not to make that fall apart. They are practically brothers, but not to the part where he'll meddle.

Carl knows what Randall hates, but he is bugging him. If it makes him think twice about his choices, he'll continue to annoy him.

"Catherine looks fine. She's wealthy and her family owns multiple estates." Carl suggested and tried to show Randall some pictures.

"Yeah, I don't care." Randall ignored him.

The car reached its final destination, it was the newly opened bar in the estate. It was a five-star place, one-of-a-kind three-story fun house.

Randall had a particular taste in liquors, as much as he did with women. He would choose the finest one, the oldest, most fermented-the most expensive. He's like the old money rich with a touch of modernism in him. Only the best, which is why women are flocking around him.

As soon as they entered, every single dancer started swaying their bodies around him. Despite having high-end customers, they chose to prioritize him.

No one can blame them. Spending one night stand with the billionaire would save them from the dark pit they are living in.

"Oh dear, I did not come here to get a taste of each one of you." Carl groaned as he gets partial attention from all these whores.

Randall enjoyed much of the attraction and went straight to the VIP room where he belonged.

There, were multiple liquors and high-quality foods that were only served to those who paid more. He is also presented with girls who are willing to give him his fun, though they must admit, he's scary and could kill anyone if he's left unsatisfied.

Randall sat on the chair with Carl just watching him have his fun. He grabbed the glass and shot neat whiskey which burned his throat, it made his body feel hotter.

His charms could drown anyone, especially when his cheeks turned red from the drunken state. Not ordinary, he's exceptionally attractive even when he's about to lose all his senses.

"Here's your order, sir." Gabrielle went inside the VIP room, annoyed.

It wasn't her job to serve rich people, it was a partial favor made by Clara. Said, she'll get the attention of the wealthy people and should play with it.

Randall's eyes lit up when her gaze met the woman. He had never seen such beautiful eyes before.

And the small fact that she went swiftly like a tiny leaf in the course of the wind makes Randall feel even more fortunate to be on the same page as her.

For a moment, he experienced what everyone called "love at first sight" yet his disbelief betrays her before he can even realize it.
