Chapter 5 Is he Jealous

I remained silent all the time, but Lenox kept asking me about the truth. I can't tell him the truth because it might cause trouble for Blaze. I know that werewolves have the ability to recognize the scent of others, and I think Lenox recognizes me for that. I wasn't expecting this to happen, but it already did. What am I supposed to do? Go with the flow and pray for the best.

After we arrived, I immediately left him without saying a single word, even without thanking him. I can't stay longer with him because his looks are sharp, and I'm pretty sure that he might figure out the truth about me.

"Did he recognize you?" I looked around when my door opened. I saw Alpha Blaze peeking from the door.

His tired eyes were fixated on me, and it gave me strange feelings. He is hot, I know, but it's not enough for me to praise him. Knowing that he is an Alpha, he will soon find his own mate and abandon me like trash.

"He said he knew that it was me, but of course I didn't tell him the truth." I smiled at him as I answered back. He nodded and closed the door.

The Blaze I met before is kind of my ideal man. He is sweet, caring, and very respectful, but guess what? He died, sacrificing his life for me. That only means I'm a complete disaster. I blame myself for not saving him, but I can't do anything. I was late when I arrived and witnessed how he batted in his own blood, leaving his sweet words.

I know I can't bring back the past, but being with him again for a second chance is disturbing. I can't ignore his presence, and sometimes I forget that he is not the Blaze I used to love. He is an Alpha now, and things that we used to do before won't happen this time.

"Ugly maid, come out! Let's have a coffee; I bought you one mocha-flavored one!" I heard him calling me, emphasizing the word UGLY.

I came out of my room and smiled at him. He handed me a cup of mocha coffee. I remembered something. Way back then, Blaze used to buy me things like this, and we always stayed at our favorite coffee shop while planning for our future.

I sighed and sipped my coffee. I moan when I taste how tasty it is. This is my favorite coffee, but I wonder how Alpha Blaze knew my type.

"I want you to stay away from my Beta. Remember that you're only an ordinary human; once you convert into a werewolf, you'll suffer like I am."

He really hates being a werewolf. Unfortunately, it's his fate, and he can't escape from it. He's done with his normal life and is now reincarnated as a werewolf. I should change his insights. An Alpha should be proud of his own. How can he protect his pack if he hates to be one of them? What if the other packs tried to conquer their town? This kind of Alpha will never be able to defend its territory. He would rather run away than die with his pack; that's how I understand Alpha Blaze. He is not confident in his abilities, and his desire is to be normal. He hates responsibilities.

"What are you looking at? Are you amazed by my physique? Shame on you, ugly maid, stop looking at me like that. I just bought you a cup of coffee as my way to thank you, no other than that."

I smirked at him and rolled my eyes. As if I think more than anything. I am not expecting him to love me more than he used to in his past life.

"I just wonder how you can rule in your pack if you want to escape from your fate. Be a true Alpha, embrace your true nature," I uttered, and he only gave me a fake laugh. That's actually an annoying laugh.

"And who are you to tell me what to do? Come on, you don't know any single information about me. You're just new here; don't act like you know me more than I know myself!"

I bowed my head slightly and decided to shut my mouth. I don't want to argue with Alpha anymore. Dealing with him is crucial. He is pragmatic, and even his mom can't control him.

"Answer me, ugly maid. Are you sitting like a statue there? I'm talking to you!" He yelled at me, so I looked at him.

"You never know me either, so don't judge me. To tell you, I know a lot about you, but do you know any single information about me? Alpha Blaze, don't be childish. Be mature enough. Thanks for the coffee, by the way!" I left him in his room, and I plopped on my bed. How can I get the hell out of this mess? Can I just kill Grandpa to end my suffering?

I was awakened when I heard a heavy knock on my door. I am pretty sure it's the Alpha. I stare at the wall clock and figure out what I missed. I forgot to wake up early and cook his food!

I rushed to open the door, but he immediately stepped in, and that made us bump into each other. I nearly kissed him, so I stepped backward, but my feet slipped. We fell to the floor while he was on top of me. He had only been looking into my eyes for a couple of minutes.

"A-alpha..."

I wasn't able to finish what I was supposed to say. He slowly lowered his face to mine and slowly touched my lips with his lips. He is kissing me passionately, and his hands are slowly running upward toward my body. What the hell is he doing? I will use my strength to push him away, and I will stand up immediately.

"What was that? You dare to kiss your ugly maid again?" I gasped and breathed hard, trying to control my heartbeat.

He slowly stood up and gave me a bored look. "Your eyes are calling me," he said, and I shook my head.

"I must leave this place," I said, but he held my hand.

"You must obey your Alpha. Stay and serve me; that's your duty and responsibility. If you want me to be a real Alpha, then starting from now, I will be." He pressed me against the wall and smirked. "No one is allowed to disrespect an Alpha; if anyone dares, he or she shall be punished!"

By then, I was totally shocked. Did he think about it overnight? That's surprising, but I feel worried about how he acted today. He became bossy and wild.

"Take a shower, and we will go. At exactly 8:00, we will go."

I nodded at him, and he lay on my bed. Seriously? Will he wait for me here? That's crazy strict.

I enjoyed bathing and almost forgot the time frame he gave me. I raced to get dressed and brush my teeth. After that, I did the important thing, which was applying my concealer cream, but I forgot where I put my fake pimples.

"Hurry up! Once you don't come out at 8:00, I will enter without your permission!

I heard Alpha Blaze yell again for the second time. He's been warning me since before, but I only ignored him.

"I'll be there!" Finally, I answered him and opened the door.

His brows arched, and I know he noticed something strange on my face. He might be confused by how my pimples vanished in the blink of an eye.

"You look good now. Come on, we're getting late!"

As we walk down the corridor, all of them are looking at us. I stopped when I noticed Lester behind my back. I smiled at him and waved my hands.

"What the h*ll are you doing, ugly maid? Hurry up!" Alpha Blaze said, giving me a death glare.

What's wrong with him? He can walk on his own; why is he complaining?

"I said faster!" He yelled when I ignored what he said and talked to Lester instead of following him.

I just look at him, and his eyes slowly turn red, and that's a sign that he is angry. "Damn you!" He left me while clenching his fists.

"You shouldn't disobey your Alpha," Lester said, but I laughed.

"He is infinitely weird today."

"Lester, come to my office!" One of our teachers called Lester, so he excused himself. I was left alone until someone pushed me into the mud. I wasn't able to avoid her because I wasn't expecting this to happen.

Clumsy, ugly nerd! " They all laughed at me, but I stood up and cleaned myself.

"She just ignored us? Come on, let's give her a lesson!"

I look around and notice three girls in front of me. "Don't mess with me if you still value your lives." I warned them and left them immediately.

As I enter our classroom, Alpha Blaze looks at me. Lenox waves at me and offers me a chair. He is very caring toward me, but I don't know what he is planning. From the day he saw me, he kept saying that I was not ugly.

"Where is your boy?" Alpha Blaze asked me. Boy? He might be referring to Lester.

"He is at the office of Mr. Shanxue, and he is not my boy. We are friends, that's it. He is my only friend here," I uttered and sat beside them.

"Am I not included? I want to be your friend also." Lenox smiled and offered me his hand.

"Stop it, you fool!" Alpha Blaze taps Lenox's hand and glares at him.

I can't understand how he is acting, but the only thing on my mind is... Is he jealous?
