Chapter 5 Hold Hands.

EVEN AFTER ASHER and Brittany saw us walking while holding hands, Felix didn't stop holding my hand in a calmest way. He was calm when he said that there's nothing wrong with being mated to an omega like me and he's calm when we continue walking our way inside the university's building. I tried my best to pull my hand away from him but his strong grip never let me. Until we stopped in front of my class room. My classmates are looking at us from inside the room and I tried my best to hide my face from them.

"I will fetch you later, don't go home alone," Felix said before he let go of my hands, finally!

I nodded, still not wanting to look at his eyes. "Okay..."

"Look at me and promise me you won't go without me," he added.

And because everyone in the classroom might see me, I shook my head. I was too humiliated right now! I know that even though I cover my face by lowering my head, everyone in the classroom would know me right away but still...

When I didn't do what he asked me to, he put his forefinger on my chin and lifted it up and our eyes met instantly. My heart raced faster as I looked into his light blue eyes like a clear water penetrating into my soul.

"Promise me, Iris."

His every word is making my world stop, I couldn't even breathe properly. Sunshine, where are you? If you are witnessing this moment, I believe you'll be so happy!

"Okay..." I said, I have nothing to say with all of these.

"Good," he answered. He leaned closer and my eyes widened. The peak of his nose touched mine, his breath touched my skin and at that moment, I thought he was going to kiss me so I closed my eyes tightly as I held my breath for a second to wait for his lips to touch mine. This will be my first kiss... this will be...

But his nose disappeared together with his breath and his finger on my chin. And when I opened my eyes, I saw my classmate, Francine, looking at me like I'm a big fool for closing my eyes.

She smirked. "What the hell was that, Iris?"

Her voice sounded like what she just witnessed was ridiculous.

"Francine... it's, uh, about that..." I couldn't finish my own sentence because I can't find the right word to say.

"We all thought that Asher is your mate and he clearly rejected you. But what did we see? Does it mean that you're also mated with Felix or wait! I believe he won't accept you as his mate because you're just a lowly orphaned omega!" Francine gasped.

"OMG! Maybe she put a curse on our poor Felix!" Kate, one of her friends added. "We should do something to get rid of the curse that she gave him!"

Francine glared at me and she grabbed my hair with full force. My scalp hurt and I tried my best to pull away from her grip but because she's strong, I can't do anything.

"Francine... I didn't do anything... Felix is my mate too," I claimed as tears started to trickle down my cheeks.

"Oh no! Do you really think we will believe you, bitch? Your mother is a bitch, and I believe you're a bitch as well! Don't act like an innocent pup!" Francine held my hair tighter and the pain intensified. She was about to slap me when she was stopped by our professor, Professor Seline Huston.

"Stop whatever you are doing, Francine. Get inside. The class is about to start," Professor Huston said.

Francine rolled her eyes and scoffed before she finally let go of my hair and went inside of the class followed by her friend, Kate. Our Professor should side with me after seeing what happened right in front of her eyes, but she didn't say anything. She just went inside with her head held high as if she didn't see anything. Every day, I got to experience this same scenario, humiliated, bullied and being treated as an outcast of this community. I am not the only outcast omega in the university, there are lots. But I must say that I am the popular outcast because I have the most controversial background which is the daughter of an omega she-wolf who had an affair with my father that apparently is unknown up until now. And everyone knew about that because of my sisters.

And now that everyone saw how Felix treated me and how Asher declined me as his mate on the mating ceremony, I believe my life would turn into another hardship. I just want a mate who could defend me in this kind of situation, who will be there with me... but I didn't expect it to be among them. The alpha's sons, Felix and Asher, are too much. Maybe the Moon Goddess pitied me and gave me the most capable man who could protect me, however, she never thought that these men are actually my bullies.

The whole class, Francine and Kate never stopped bothering me. If they bully me before, today was too much. To the point that Francine poured her juice onto my head down my shirt. Everyone in the cafeteria laughed...

As I took my bag on my shoulder and was about to go out of the classroom, I remembered what Felix told me. He said he'll fetch me! I quickly looked around and saw that only a few students were left in our classroom and Felix hadn't arrived yet.

Immediately, I ran towards the door and was about to escape when someone grabbed my bag and pulled me back. My back landed on someone's chest and I saw Felix towering over me. I quickly noticed his brows colliding as he stared at me intently.

"Where the hell are you going? I thought you promised me you won't go without me?" he asked.

I swallowed the lump in my throat and pulled myself away from him before I lowered my head. "I... I'm sorry, I forgot."

"Tss, really? Or were you intentionally wanting to forget?"

I looked up at him as I shook my head. "No! I mean, I wasn't!" I defended myself.

But he stepped towards me as he continued giving me that intense stare until his eyes landed on my chest and his teeth gritted at what he saw. "Who the hell did that to you?"
