Chapter 5 Girl with Deep Black Eyes

The girl beside me fell silent. She actually had a lot of questions. But the situation didn't allow it. The human being was kind enough to help us, when in fact we were strangers who had suddenly appeared in his house.

"Thank you for helping my friend," I said, lowering my head. I didn't dare look into those eyes. My head now felt dizzy, the shadow of Rando not surviving made me feel sorry for taking him to the human world.

"Yes. I don't mind helping you." The girl replied with a single word. From her intonation, it seemed like she wanted to continue but was held back.

"Ask away. I'm sure you're very curious." My sentence just now made the girl turn her head to the side and look at me intently.

"I'm sure you're not from this world. Honestly," the girl said. She had an enthusiastic look in her eyes. I nodded in confirmation. Nothing can be covered up with a lie.

"I knew it. I'm glad to meet you. Thank goodness you landed right inside my house," the girl continued with a big smile.

Unexpectedly, the girl with deep black eyes had a sweet smile. It turns out that she's not as fierce as I thought. Look, even the look on her face is now starting to soften, like an old friend who has just met again.

"Are you sure you're not afraid of meeting us? Me and my friend from another world. Maybe you know it as the immortal or parallel world. I don't know for sure, but we're not from this world." I explained looking back at the girl. There was no mistaking it, the girl had deep black eyes that were mesmerizing. Not a single inhabitant of the immortal world had them.

"Really? Is the immortal world so bad that you chose to go to this world?" The girl asked enthusiastically. The look on her face could not hide that.

"You seem to be very curious about our world? Are you interested in hearing about it?"

"Yes! This is very exciting. I've been waiting for this opportunity for a long time. Finally my dream has come true. I met you guys, it's like a miracle." The girl replied happily. I never thought that someone from the human world would be interested in my world.

"You know what? I really like stories about immortal or parallel worlds. I have a collection of books. I imagine every day living in that world."

Suddenly the young girl became chatty. Her eyes lit up as she explained how enthusiastic she was about the immortal world. I just chuckled and shook my head.

"It's not as beautiful as you think, Miss. It's all in the stories. It's not really like that." I replied by looking the other way. I was sure the expression on her face would be disappointed.

"You mean you don't enjoy living in your world?" The girl now had an innocent face. That question reminded me of the incident where I forced Rando to run away.

"I know you're curious. But it's a very long story. I don't know where to start," I replied, throwing my head back and leaning on the chair I was sitting on.

"Okay, I'm sorry. It doesn't seem like the right time."

"Are you hungry?" the girl asked again. She was kind enough not to force me to tell her more details.

"No, Miss. Thank you." I shook my head. There was no hunger or thirst. I just wanted to see Rando immediately. I couldn't bear to lose my true friend.

"Oh my God. Is this karma?" I instantly wanted to scream.

"Just wait here. I'll buy some snacks." The girl stood up and quickly walked away. I stared at her departure. The girl walked quickly, her personality was very agile and would not stand still.

"Looks like I should be a little grateful, for finding such a nice person," I muttered still staring at the girl's departure.

The steps of people going back and forth inside the hospital did not make me calm. Many were seen crying and even wailing because they had been abandoned by their loved ones. I was stunned, "Will my fate be like that?" Staring at a woman who was crying next to a man who was lying stiff.

I didn't dare to stare, choosing to stare at the floor would be better. I overheard someone complaining, "If only I had a spell to heal someone." I looked up, suddenly remembering something.

"Ancient book!" I shouted, startling some people. Some gave me strange looks. I didn't care, rushing to open the backpack I had been carrying.

"Why did I forget about the existence of this book. I'm sure there are clues in it." I slowly opened the ancient book with a wolf skin cover. I continued to read page after page. Until not a single letter was missed. I held my breath even more, there was no mistaking that I had managed to find a healing spell.

"Would you like a drink?" someone handed over a bottle of water. From her voice, it was obviously the girl who had helped us. But I ignored her. The healing spell was more important than anything else.

Seeing no response from me, the girl chuckled slightly. I still faintly heard her.

"Are you-"

"I found it. Where is Rando's room. I must cure him immediately!" The girl's sentence was cut short. I spoke first. Her face clearly showed an expression of astonishment. Not only the girl, but the people around us were the same. Some people seemed to shake their heads slightly, astonished at my impossible sentence. They thought I was a freak.

"What do you mean? You talk too loudly," the girl said, looking around. She seemed to believe that I could heal Rando.

"Calm down. Your friend is currently being treated in the emergency unit. It's not easy to see him. But I have a way, come with me," the girl continued and walked towards a room. I followed her from behind, my happy expression could not be hidden. Soon I would see Rando again. I'm sure the spell will work.

"Why didn't I remember that earlier," I regretted the panic that had ensued. I tapped my forehead a few times, cursing my unconscious stupidity.

"Mom, please. Let us meet Rando." The girl pleaded to a woman who looked a little older while mentioning Rando's name. I only looked at her slightly from a distance.

"No. It can't be a cell. Do you want to contract that poison? It's very dangerous. We're still trying to research what kind of poison has eaten away at that young man." The woman snapped slightly. She seemed to be worried about her daughter. I just realized that the person who had treated Rando was the girl's mother.

"Looks like this isn't going to be easy. I'm sure the people here won't let us in," I muttered with annoyance. I tried to rack my brains. The situation would get more precarious if I didn't help Rando soon.

"I can cure Rando. Please, trust me." I approached the girl's mother. Trying to convince with my unconvincing-looking face.

"You can't be kidding young man. This is about lives, not toys." The woman shook her head, more strange at my words.

"I'll at least try once. If it doesn't work, I'll give up." This time I was a little pushy. There was no other choice, only I could cure Rando.

The girl's mother looked doubtful. But finally nodded.

"Okay. Come with me, and you can't come in." The girl immediately pouted but finally nodded.

I followed where the girl's mother went. We were fully dressed and covered, even my hands were covered.

The woman opened the door. Rando was lying inside with a lot of equipment attached.

"Hang in there, Ran."

I unwrapped my hand, as the spell could only flow through the energy inside my body. I slowly began to chant the mantra. About a minute in, at the end of the spell, I felt Rando's pulse start to improve. His fingers were moving slightly, I could feel it clearly. It was as if our souls were merging.

"How could-"

The woman's voice choked up, I'm sure the mother of the girl was staring in disbelief at the miracle before her eyes.
