Chapter 6 Danger Was Coming

Debra had set up the agreement.

Since Rylee was determined to keep Waylon in the villa, it was natural for Debra to devise some safeguards. The reason she had Rylee propose the agreement instead of doing it herself was to prevent Waylon from negotiating terms.

After all, Rylee had the power to send Waylon packing at any time, something Debra couldn't easily do.

To their surprise, after Waylon effortlessly agreed to the terms of the agreement, he cunningly requested three dates, invoking the name of Debra's late grandfather!

It felt like they were trapped in an endless loop.

Debra pushed Rylee to tighten the reins and keep Waylon under control. Meanwhile, Waylon bore Rylee's harsh treatment and then made a request to Debra by exploiting her grandfather Ethan's name. Left with no other options, Debra had to tolerate it...

"Damn it..."

Debra was struck by a wave of frustration. She suddenly realized the slick-talking man before her was far more troublesome than she'd initially thought.

"Hey, Waylon, what happened to the rules we just set? The first rule is that you can't make Debra do anything she's uncomfortable with. Why did you agree and then go against your word?" Rylee challenged Waylon at that moment.

"I didn't go against my word," Waylon said, looking innocent. "I'm doing this to honor Debra's grandfather in heaven. If my wife isn't willing to join me in fighting for our future happiness, I won't push her."

"You..."

Rylee was suddenly struck by the realization that Waylon's readiness to comply was merely a facade. He had seen through her motives. He knew she wouldn't actually send him away because she was driven by a desire for vengeance!

The two women stared at Waylon, who returned their glares with a confident smile, leading to a tense moment of silence.

"Alright, I'll agree to the three dates." Debra, unable to find a reason to refuse, clenched her teeth and reluctantly agreed. "I'll give you three dates, and I'll choose when because I'm very busy and may not be available every day."

"Okay!" Waylon replied with a confident smile. "Three dates are all I need to make you fall for me."

"Asshole! Rylee, let's get some fresh air outside!" Debra snorted disdainfully, stood up, and pulled Rylee along as she walked away.

Debra felt that if they stayed any longer, she might actually strangle Waylon.

The two women held hands, walked to the garage, and got into the car one after the other.

The sun was setting, casting a dim glow across the sky.

Rylee stretched lazily and started the car, then asked teasingly, "Debra, where should we go to unwind? Let's just ditch that asshole. I'm all for it!"

"Let's not talk about him. Just the thought of him annoys and upsets me," Debra said through clenched teeth.

Suddenly, Waylon's voice unexpectedly filled the car. "Honey, aren't we supposed to be each other's saving grace?"

"Ah!" the two women screamed in shock.

They both looked back and saw Waylon casually seated in the back seat, staring at them.

"When did you sneak into the car?" Debra asked, visibly shaken and pale.

"I got in the same time you both did," Waylon replied.

"You got in when we did?"

Both women were taken aback. Waylon had joined them unnoticed. How had he managed that?

Debra raised an eyebrow. "So, you heard everything we just said?"

"Yes, I heard it all," Waylon confirmed plainly. "But don't worry, I'm not the type to take things personally."

Debra's eyebrows knitted together in annoyance. He wasn't going to take it personally? Did he really think she cared if he took it personally?

"What a character, this guy!" Rylee said with a mocking laugh. "Oh, so you're not going to take it personally? How generous of you. But do you think we care if you do?"

Waylon glanced at Rylee. "I'm talking to my wife. Why are you, a liar, interrupting?"

"Who are you calling a liar, creep?" Rylee gave him a piercing stare.

"Whoever's upset now." Waylon casually shrugged.

"You..." Rylee was furious. She lost her cool completely. "You asshole! I'll kill you!"

Ignoring Debra's advice, Rylee got out of the car, opened the back door, and furiously stared at Waylon inside. "Son of a bitch, get out and face me if you dare!"

Waylon stayed put in the car. "I despise violence."

"You don't have a say in this! Get your ass out here!"

"You can try coming in if you're brave enough."

"You think I won't?"

"I bet you won't."

"Damn it! I'll kill you, you asshole!"

Rylee lunged forward, diving at Waylon inside the car. The tight space left Waylon with no room to escape, and Rylee knocked him back onto the rear seat. They ended up in a compromising position.

Blind with anger, Rylee didn't realize this. She sat on Waylon's lap and furiously started punching him in the face.

Predictably, Waylon grabbed Rylee's fists.

"Let go of me!"

Rylee struggled but couldn't break free, shooting Waylon a fierce glare from above him.

"You get up first!"

Waylon, firmly holding onto her wrists, looked up at Rylee defiantly.

"You let go first!"

"No, you get up!"

Debra, seated in the passenger seat, watched the unusually awkward interaction in the rearview mirror, her face flushing with a mix of embarrassment and irritation.

Rylee seemed oblivious to the fact she was wearing a skirt. Unnoticed by her, Waylon was sneaking a peek at her pantie.

Rylee... poor girl!

Waylon and Rylee were locked in a stalemate that lasted around ten minutes. Inevitably, they both cooled off. Finally noticing Waylon's disgusting gaze, Rylee reluctantly gave in.

Flushed and frustrated, Rylee climbed out of the back seat and glared at Waylon. "Watch yourself, you asshole. This isn't over. I'll show you what real regret feels like."

"You are feeling that right now, aren't you?" Waylon's chuckle showed his lack of concern for her threats.

"You..." Rylee's anger flared up again.

"Enough." Debra's frown deepened. "Waylon, why don't you drive?"

"Sure thing!" Waylon replied, quickly climbing into the driver's seat.

Debra shot Waylon a look of annoyance. Couldn't he have got out of the car first? Since Waylon hadn't dirtied the interior of the car, Debra opted to hold her tongue.

She couldn't bear the thought of speaking another word to him.

As for the idea of Waylon driving... Truthfully, Debra wished he would just disappear, so she wouldn't have to breathe the same air as him in the car. But, given he was already there, there was no practical way to send him packing.

Getting into a drawn-out argument would only sour her mood further!

Waylon grabbed the steering wheel and adjusted the rearview mirror, his smile faint but detectable.

Taking advantage of this moment, Debra and Rylee quickly moved to sit in the back seats, eager to put as much distance between themselves and Waylon as possible.

Waylon seemed unfazed. He believed they were bound to be standoffish since he was still a stranger to them...

The car pulled away and left the villa.

At that moment, in a quiet corner not far from them, a business van quietly came to life and began following the Maserati.

The men in black seated within the van all shared a sinister, knowing grin.

"Debra, Rylee, they truly live up to the reputation!"
