Chapter 6 FOUND THE MAN

Are you going to pour me a drink or not?" Stefano asked looking at the Lena who has been staring at his wrist the whole time.

Lena took a deep breath, trying to compose herself. She poured the drink and placed it in front of him, her hands shaking. She then turned to leave, not wanting to face him any longer.

"What's going on with her?" Luca asked, raising an eyebrow

"How am I supposed to know?" Stefano said, shrugging. "She's just a waitress, after all."

At that moment, a text message popped up on Stefano's phone.

💬"Boss Godfather sent for you," looking down at the screen. "He needs to see me."

"What does he want?" he asked,

"I don't know what he wants, but I'm going to go see him," Stefano said, getting up from his seat. "You can go back to the office."

"Of course," Luca said, his brow furrowed. "But are you sure you're okay? You seem a little off."

"I'm fine," Stefano said "I just have a lot on my mind."

Luca nodded. "Okay," he said, standing up as well. "I'll see you later then."

"Are you alright?" Sophia asked,

"I'm fine," Lena said,

"You don't look fine," Sophia protested her eyes taking in Lena's pale face and shaking hands. "You're trembling."

"It's nothing,"

"I notice the way you look at Stefano,"

"His name is Stefano?"

"Yes, that's right, Why are you asking?"

"Because he's the one who killed my family, I've been searching for him for years and now i have finally found him."

"What? Are you sure?"

Lena nodded, her eyes filling with tears. "I'm positive. He's the one who did it, he is the monster who destroyed my life and killed my family."

"Is it true that the Don is planning to marry Mara to Stefano?" Amy asked Antonio who was close to Stefano.

"Yes, I believe it is," Antonio said, nodding his head. "Though I'm not sure why that's any of your concern."

"Because I'm worried about him, I think this is a bad idea because boss doesn't have any feelings whatsoever for her."

"You don't have to worry about him," Antonio said

"Let her worry, She is just a sex toy who is going to miss being his sex slave." Jane one the girls taunted.

" Jane, that's inappropriate," Maria said,

"Why are you defending her?" Jane asked "You know I'm right, she is nothing but Stefano's sex tool."

"No, you're not, You're just being rude and disrespectful." Amy sneered glaring at Jane

"Whatever," Jane said, rolling her eyes.

"We have a mission tonight," Andrea one of the mobster said distracting the girls from there bickering.

"Who are you to order us around?" Amy asked "You're not the boss here."

"I know I'm not the boss," Andrea said, holding up his hands in a gesture of peace. "But the boss asked me to let everyone know that we have a mission tonight. So we all need to be ready."

"Which boss?" Jane asked, her brow furrowed

" Torres," Andrea said

"But he doesn't have the authority to order us around. We're not his servants." Amy said.

"I know, But he's just trying to keep us all organized and on the same page." Andrea said trying to negotiate with the angry mobsters.

"I don't care," Amy sneered.

" Any more complaints and I'll take your tongue," Torres said, his voice cold and menacing. He strode into the room, his eyes fixed on Amy .

"You have no right to order us around. We are not your slaves, our boss is Stefano not you." James one of the mobster protested.

"Shut up," Torres yelled. "Or I'll lock you in the dungeon and punish you."

"It's time to get ready, We don't have time to waste." Torres said in a cold and commanding tone brooking no argument.

The others in the room hurried to gather their things, not wanting to make Torres any angrier than he already was.

They all knew how dangerous he could be when he was in this kind of mood.

"Let's go," Torres said, once everyone was gathered. "We don't have all day."

And with that, they left the room

In a dark, dingy room in New York City, a man was bound to a chair with his arms and legs tied.

He was bleeding from multiple wounds, and his face was swollen and bruised.

A hooded figure stood over him, holding a knife in one hand and a gun in the other.

"I'm not going to give you any information," the man said, "You can torture me all you want, but I'm not going to talk."

The hooded figure laughed, a low, cruel sound. "You're a fool if you think I won't get what I want,"

"I would never betray Stefano," the man said, "No matter what you do to me, I won't speak a word against him."

"You're a fool," the hooded figure said, "If I cut out your tongue, you'll be unable to speak at all. Do you really want to risk that?"

The man swallowed hard, but he didn't waver. "I'm not afraid of you," he said, his eyes burning with defiance.

Without hesitation, the hooded figure grabbed a knife and sliced the man's tongue from his mouth.

The man let out a blood-curdling scream, his eyes wide with horror. The hooded figure stood over him, smiling in satisfaction.

The man tried to speak, but only a gurgling sound came out. He clutched at his throat, trying to stem the flow of blood, but it was no use. He was bleeding to death.

The hooded figure watched as the life slowly drained from the man's body, savoring every moment. It was a sight he would never forget.

"Boss," Giovanni said

"What is it?" the man asked, his attention focused on the figure before him.

"Fabio is planning to arrange a marriage between Stefano and a woman he's chosen for him," Giovanni said "I think we should find out more about her."

"Very well," the man said "Gather whatever information you can on this woman."
