Chapter 4 CAN WATER SOOTHES THE PAIN

THEME : CAN WATER SOOTHES THE PAIN?

LOCATION : MARA'S APARTMENT

Mara was in a state of complete and utter rage. She was yelling at the top of her lungs, her words incoherent and jumbled.

In her fury, she was throwing things around the room, smashing them against the walls and floor.

The room was a mess, with broken glass and splintered wood strewn about.

" Mara, what on earth is going on?" Gaia asked

" Stefano won't answer my calls," Mara said, "I don't know what to do."

"I know you're upset, but this isn't the way to deal with it," Mara said. "You're only making things worse by destroying things."

Mara looked at her, her eyes red and puffy. "I know, but I can't help it. I'm so angry and hurt."

"You know, you could always go see him," Gaia suggested "You know his father wants you two to get married. Maybe he'll understand if you talk to him in person."

"You're right," Mara said "I just need to figure out what to say to him."

"You'll think of something," Gaia said"Just try to stay calm, and everything will work out."

LENA APARTMENT

Lena used her hands to wipe out the tears that was falling from her eyes, even if it has been a long time since she lost her entire family she is still hurting, all the painful memories are stuck in her head, her heart is still bleeding and she always hear the voices of her parents and brother in her head pleading for their lives.

She always hears the voices of her parents and brother calling out for revenge, for justice.

Each time she remembers everything she can't help but wish to see that monster so as to stuff out life out of him.

When will she ever be free from the past that took away her family, ruined her life and stripped her off her identity.

When will she ever be free from the painful and sad memories that changed and tormented her life?

When ever she closes her eyes, all of her past memories keeps coming. Making her heart bleed and opening unhealed and painful wounds.

When will those scars fade away?

Why can't those pains go away?

Why can't she be free from those pain?

Will she ever be able to forget the pains her past?

Will she ever be able to move on from hee past?

Will she ever be happy and free?

She hoped and pray that she will be free from all this painful memories after executing her revenge.

She will make sure that the monster that ruined her life and destroyed her family will plead for his life just life the way that her parents did, she will make sure that she will take everything that the monster holds dear before ending his life.

She will make sure that he feels the same pain that she went through before ending his life.

She will hunt the monster at his love ones, she will make sure to end their lives in a very cruel manner, that is a promise that she will make sure to keep.

She maybe be broken and damaged now because of the evil monster but she will make sure that he will be more damaged and broken than her when she will have her pound of flesh.

Lena walked out of the balcony to the bathroom. She took off her pajamas and her underwear and went inside the shower. She could see her reflection through the mirror in the bathroom.

The cold water flowed through hee body, smoothening every hurt and pains. Was that even possible.

Can water smooth the pains and fade the scar in her heart and body?

Can water make her have a peaceful night?

Can water heal her damaged and broken self?

Can she ever escape her nightmares, her demons and painful memories?

She slid down to the cold tiling floor of the bathroom, sat down on it lost in thoughts, letting her mind wandered far.

She is a woman with deep mystery.

She was fucked up and the life that she is living is corrupted and fucked up. But how did she put a stop to it?

How to leave? This life was never her choice, that monster that killed her family and ruined her life made this choice for her.

Lena sunk down into the cold floor of the bathroom, curling up against the nearest wall.

Her head fell on her hands, feeling the wave of sorrow crash over her.

This isn't how her life is supposed to end.

This isn't the life that she had planned out for herself.

She has always envisioned her life to be perfect. She has always wished to have her forever with her prince charming.

She has always wished for a peaceful and beautiful life with her family.

She has always wished to have a grand wedding with her parents walking her down the aisle to her prince charming.

Idly she wonder if this will remain her prison for the rest of her life. How will she be able to escape this painful memories ?

She was terrified of the haunted memories.

She was terrified of the painful and heartbreaking nightmares.

She was terrified for her life and future.

She cried, she cried in a way that she has never cried before and her breathing came in hiccoughing Dobs.

She cried until there is no more tears left.

She cried until she was exhausted.

She cried for her future.

She wasn't hungry so she lay down so her arching headache could subside.

That night, when she awoke, breathing heavily from a vivid dream about the man who has killed her family shooting her to death, it was impossible to ignore the facts that was both ancient and familiar frightening every nerve ending in her being.

Frightening of having that nightmares again, she sat up in the darkness and pushed hair away from her face.

"It was just a nightmare." She mumbled.
