CHAPTER 1: Him

Astrea POV

"Hey, he's really good." I said to myself while stalking her on FB with matching thrills.

I've liked him for six years, we're classmates in elementary school, he's my first crush and first love. now that we're in high school I still like him but he doesn't know yet... I guess? Because it seems obvious to me, it's impossible to be numb. I have no plans to confess. Even if the end of the world is still tomorrow, I don't want... I don't want to admit it.

Those were my thoughts as I rolled over in bed.

"Astraea son, have breakfast here." I heard mom say from below.

"Go ahead." I answered and stood up.

We're not rich, we're not poor, it's just the right mix.

Another day... another stress. I'm consistently Top 1 in our room and I also play volleyball. It's also tiring sometimes but it's manageable.

I'm a multi-tasker.

I went down and got ready to go to school.

I was in C.R. doing some research when I noticed...

I arrived at the school and it wasn't long before ma'am had a discussion.

I was dumbfounded while staring at him... He looks just like a dream the prettiest boy I've ever seen.

He memorized every line with his perfect face. from his thick eyebrows, narrow eyes, long eyelashes and red lips.

That's not the only real reason why I like him.

I like him because he is cheerful, friendly and kind. In short green flag.

I was drowning in her beauty suddenly.

"Ms. Hera? Ms. Hera please solve the equation written on the board." Huh?? Is ma'am calling me or am I imagining it? Wait... could that be me? I turned pale when I realized that it was me who was being called. Everyone's attention turned to me, including Zero.

"Ma'am? Me?" I'm sure.

I stood up and solved the equation on the board. It's just that easy.

Eventually it was time for a break and I walked to the cafeteria.

When I saw him with his girlfriend. it was still clinging to his arm like what... Like what.

It should be me! It's just a bath for me.

I'm here and it's choosy. How I wish that was me... You too will chase me one day.

I can see the joy in his eyes when he is with his girlfriend. It's the pain. By the way, I can't join us because I'm weak haha.

Do I give up now? I didn't even think about that in my six years of liking him.

I looked for a table and sat down, I waited for Cassidy. For sure, gossip can reach everywhere.

My eyes turned to their table. The two of them are sweet, the only thing missing is ants. That's just at first. He even followed his girlfriend, doesn't he have hands?! Stop it.

"Him again?" When suddenly someone appeared in front of me. Cassidy.

"Is there anything else?" He winced at my answer.

"I don't want to. I'll try? What if I reject you?" I will admire him from afar until the end of the world.

"Alright, your feelings are yours, hide them in the jar." he said sullenly.

"That's why I'm not joking."

"That's right, that's fine, btw what did I order for you?"

"Just our usual." I said.

"Okay." He said the last thing and walked to the counter.

I was busy reading when someone tapped me on the back. It's just Ezeckielle.

"You ok? Didn't you read last night?" He asked and sat next to me.

"Yes, it's because of the amount of people who were asked to do it."

He smiled and ruffled my hair.

"You're ugly, so what if you're stressed like you are now, you're the ugliest person on the face of the earth. Btw, we can eat together." excuse

"Tsk, you just want to eat with me why is there something like that. Let's just wait for Cassidy."

"Sure." and our useless conversation continued.
