Two years passed and all seems okay with the boys. They had graduated from high school and just secured admission into the university. Although along the way, they slowly began to grow apart. Isaac has his hands full at home, school and also juggling with his mom's restaurant.
Musa was much free, he only had school to bother about, but still found most of his course demanding, so he struggled with them. Daniel's case was similar to that of Musa, he was free, but unlike like Musa, he was excelling in his academics.
Once in a while, the boys would meet up in school when they had free periods or were all done for the day.
Isaac would always whine about his life, chores, finances. Musa would talk about how he thinks being in his department was a mistake and was looking at transferring to another. Daniel on the other hand, had nothing to complain about. He would always tell them to be patient, that all will be fine in due time.
"Why won't you say that rubbish. Really encouraging coming from a rich kid. You that always had everything given to you on a diamond platter," Isaac said.
"Guy, leave him. It's not his fault his parents are wealthy. The people we should hold responsible for our misery are our parents. My own instead of him to invest, he went about marrying wives up and down from different states, giving birth up and down like rabbits. I have like 19 siblings with me 20 and one is still in the oven cooking. I wonder if they give award or trophy for having so much children," Musa chipped in.
While laughing, Isaac three in a comment, "Guy, yours is worst. Remember when I came visiting you one day. There was so much people in the compound, I thought you guys were holding a ceremony. Only for you to tell me they were all your siblings. Guy, una try! Soccer team."
"You guys are actually funny. Now unto another topic, I'm hungry. Let's go get something to eat. Isaac, are you done for today? Cos I would love to eat at your mom's eatery," Daniel said.
Isaac replied, "Yeah, I'm done. But you're paying oh. No osho free.
"Don't worry, I got you. Let's go," replied Daniel.
So they left the campus and headed to Isaacs mom's eatery. It was busy spot, aroma of rice, meat and other delicacies filled the air. Just before they sat down, Musa's hand accidentally touched Daniel's hand and he saw something. He wasn't sure what had happened, he waved it off.
After their meal, he told the boys what had happened earlier to him while they were trying to get their seats. They waved it off and told him it was probably hunger playing tricks on him. They continued saying, if it wasn't hunger, he should touch Daniel again and see if it happens.
Musa proceeded to touch Daniel in the way he had accidentally touched his hand, this time nothing happened. "You see, definitely hunger. Guy, better order another round oh, cos e be like say your hunger choke," Isaac said. Musa replied, "Why are you never serious? You're always joking about everything. What I saw was real."
Just as Musa was talking, he accidentally touched Daniel again and he saw something."Yowa! I saw it again. I saw Daniel doing things, people talking to him. It was as if I was him, seeing everything through his eyes. Daniel, this morning you woke up and saw an alert of 50K from your dad didn't you?" Musa asked.
Surprised at how Musa got that information, Daniel nodded in agreement.
"You're also about to ask for the bill, Isaac would go inside, calculate it and bring it back, you would shout, but just to test this, I won't say the amount out loud. Isaac, go bring the bill," said Musa.
As Isaac left to grab the bill, Musa told Daniel what the amount was, 6K and on Isaac's way back, the lady in green there would move her hand backwards and hit Isaac, and Isaac would shout, "Madam, watch where you swing your hand."
Everything happened exactly how Musa said, and when Isaac brought the bill, it was exactly 6k. Daniel shouted, "Guy, this amount is too much." Before Daniel could finish his statement, Musa helped him in completing it.
Daniel turned and looked at Musa in total awe, shocked at the level of detail he was able to provide to events that haven't occurred yet.
Musa also shocked, raised his hands just above the table, looking at them like they were something strange attached to his body, also wondering how this came about.
Isaac, "Guy, no dey fear. If this thing na real, I get one sure way for us to prove it. Let's go and..."
Musa interrupted him, "Go and play a bet, visual to be exact. And yes, would win. Play Chelsea against Manchester United, odds 8.6. Chelsea to win Manchester United, 6 goals to 2, stake 7k. But that score would make us lose. Instead play 10 goals to 3. Is that not what you're going to say?"
Isaac, "Guy, you touch me? How did you know what I was going to say?"
Musa replied, "Like I said, I could see everything Daniel sees and saw and also hear."
They quickly rushed out to a vet shop nearby and placed the bet exactly as Musa predicted. The stood there watching the screen, anxious to see the final outcome of the bet. Boom, it's in. They won the bet.
"Una really lucky oh! See money! So how una go like collect am? Cash or transfer? Abeg, chose transfer because I no get that kind cash right now," the cashier said.
They opted for transfer, gave Daniel's account. The cashier proceeded to make a transfer of 122,000 to them. They quickly rushed out of the bet shop, rejoicing at their new found fortune.
Daniel sent 60,000 to Musa, 40,000 to Isaac and kept 22,000. He said Musa needed the more, so he gave him part of his own share. Also if not for Musa, this would never happen. "Do you know what I'm thinking? If this stuff is real and last for long, guy, do you know what we can do with it?" Isaac asked. The three boys stood still looking at themselves, different thoughts running through their head.
